Re: MCT Update 7/29 AM
Hi Ho Silver Away! (sorry, couldn't resist ) There's a lot of haggling going on here about the use of MCT funds. Personally, I have no qualms who uses my ten bucks as long as it gets used for the "good of all". I prefer it to be used as originally intended, but I will concede to the majority vote. However I wish everyone would get together and make a quick decision. The dilemma I'm facing is that in two weeks (8/15) I will be moving from NY to FL and will be offline. I'm hoping to get back online quickly but that's still an unknown right now. It certainly would help if I knew where to send my money before I skip town. After all, I don't want to be guilty of a pledge and not keeping my promise. Is it possible that we could all come to an agreement in a more timely fashion - please? Let's not be guilty of the usual "red tape" that gov't bureaucracy puts us through. ok...so in the alternative, maybe someone could volunteer to hold onto my money until the decision is made - then forward it to whoever. Reid, would ya like me to send it to you? If this is okay, pls supply your address again; trying to find things lately has become quite a chore. BTW...Didn't I already contribute to that camera? My memory is failing me! In any event, guess I'll find out how the money was used when I get back online. For now, I'll be around until at least the 13th or 14th should a decision be made. Re: GSE
Hi Donna, If I remember correctly alot of us here, including myself, have had the same reaction as you. That brain fog can be debilitating and I don't believe anyone knows why or what is causing it, herx or otherwise. As far as CS... I think the lady is wrong about destroying the immune system. It's as close to an antibiotic as you can get and I've never heard anyone mention that antibiotics do that. I've read that it does destroy the good flora in the stomach however so make sure you take acidophilus to put the good flora back. Anyone else hear or read about this? First, I went to various folders that I keep (different topics) and found many posts by Cisco either replying to Dan Manning or vice versa, dialogue I have had with him regarding my (recently deceased) friend with liver cancer, and other posts where he was just reporting on different methods of treatment - what worked and what didn't. I can send them if anyone is interested. However, all these were done around the end of May timeframe. Nothing after that. If anyone else has had any correspondence after that it would be interesting to note. Now when I thought about all of that and the things he said, it made it difficult to believe he is the type of person that was portrayed in this post by Johnny Burton (and sent in by Brian in Oz). One more thing everyone may want to consider... Guam, Papua, New Guinea was just swept away by a huge tidal wave and thousands of people have lost their lives. I really have to stop overreacting. No excuses given, just been suffering with a bad sinus infection and my eyes and mind are not concentrating as well as they should be. Just in case you're wondering, yes I tried CS in each nostril - didn't work to kill the infection and the headache is crippling. And the only brand I have is the little blue bottle by Futurebiotics. Come to think of it, I have that other one I bought in the white plastic bottle by Tri-Medica (that's the name!). I just went back and re-read that post. It seems that the original was a quote by you, chc, which should have been in italics (as it usually is) and then in straight font when someone replies. I see now that Ginny was the one that was talking about the Futurebiotics brand she bought and that she was reusing that same bottle and questioning it as well. Sorry I got you so upset. In reply to "paying attention to the results we are getting"... I often wonder if I'm getting any results at all. I read all these things you people do, and the success you sometimes receive, makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong (if anything). Problem with me is that everytime something does go wrong, no matter what it may be, nobody can ever find the cause of the problem. The "normal" treatments that work on everyone else never seem to work on me. Another reason I guess I got excited over what I read [wrong] was that I ass-u-me(d) that if it was cobalt in that blue bottle and it was leeching into the CS, maybe that could be a reason why I continually suffer with swollen legs. I've had every test imaginable (when they are swollen) and yet nobody can find the reason. Thinking that heavy metal toxins are usually not tested for, makes me wonder. Re: Cobalt Blue bottles
Well doesn't that just make my day!!! Future-biotics is what I've been buying in that cobalt blue bottle. I'm on my 2nd bottle and have another "extra" that I bought. I also bought one by Medico (I think) that is in a white plastic bottle. You mean to tell me I'm ingesting a heavy toxin leeching from that bottle and the CS is useless? Have a good mind to return the stuff to the herb store (think I will) and bring him this article so he discontinues selling this stuff. BTW...since Solgar products just sold out to American Home Products who just sold out to Monsanto ... the owner of the herbal store is phasing them (Solgar) out too. I don't trust Monsanto in anything they do. A little food for thought to you all. Fidget Zeigler, Virginia A. x1969 wrote: > > Hi, All! > > chc wrote: > "Today was a most interesting discovery. Re: Provocative thoughts
Whitney and List, I stopped taking the GsE for two days and the fog seemed to clear up. This morning as I was getting all my other herbs ready, I forgot about the GsE and, well, swallowed one! Two hours later it hit me like a mack truck! Had this kind of buzzing in the back of my head as well as the base of my head, got totally disoriented and felt sick all day. Just wanted to lie down and do nothing. Again, couldn't think straight or concentrate on anything. It's like everything I need to do seems like a difficult task and I can't be bothered. Some pretty awful side effects if you ask me! The worst part is that I'm moving to Florida and [trying] to pack up my house and it's making me into a veggie... Not being productive at all. Nobody has to tell me twice...it's already off the shelf! Also, about the acidophilus advice...is DDS a brand name? I already have a jar in the fridge but silly me - haven't bothered to take it! Geez...there's so many things to take that I feel like I do nothing all day except swallow pills! What do you mean by taking "lots and lots of it"? How much is that anyway? Thanks for your help. I've been looking into Licorice for its use in atherosclerosis and this is what it says. Those who have heart conditions should take note that chronic ingestion of the whole licorice root can lead to potassium loss, sodium and water retention, and high blood pressure. You can access the website at: http://www.nutritionsciencenews.com/NSN_backs/Dec_97/science.html Go to the homepage to see how much info this site contains. One more item on my list to buy! The owner of that herbal store loves me! Fidget >From The December 1997 Issue of Nutrition Science News Licorice Clears The Way In Arteries Considered everything from an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent to an antiviral and antioxidant compound, licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) just earned a new label. A recent study indicates the herb also protects against atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is caused in part by oxidized LDL cholesterol. Antioxidants such as vitamin E, beta-carotene and quercetin can protect against atherosclerosis by making LDL more resistant to oxidation. Like several such heart-healthy supplements, licorice is rich in a type of antioxidant known as polyphenolic flavonoids. Researchers at the Lipid Research Laboratory at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel, examined the effect of licorice on LDL oxidation in humans. First they collected LDL from the blood samples of healthy volunteers and incubated it with various oxidative chemicals. They found adding licorice extract significantly inhibited oxidation. In part two of the study, 10 healthy men aged 20 to 35 took either 0.1 g per day of encapsulated licorice or placebo for two weeks. Compared to the placebo group, LDL from subjects who took licorice extract was significantly more resistant to oxidative stress. (For more information on oxidative stress, please see story on p. 598.) Should people susceptible to heart disease start taking licorice root? Not yet. Chronic ingestion of the whole licorice root can lead to potassium loss, sodium and water retention, and high blood pressure. Nevertheless, the evidence is strong that supplementing with licorice may help slow accelerated atherosclerosis, in addition to stalling LDL oxidation. --Am J of Clin Nutr, 66(2), August 1997 -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. Re: Provocative thoughts
That is an excellent question Whitney, certainly one I'd like to know the answer as well. I have fibromyalgia and candida. I've been taking only one capsule a day (in the AM) for the last two weeks now, specifically using it to try and clear up the candida. I also have the liquid GsE (glycerine based) which I occasionally use to gargle with (very infrequently and I don't swallow it). I've been thinking about all this "brain fog" talk here and I'm wondering if that is what is causing me to walk around like a veggie. No joke either. I just can't seem to think straight lately and my fibro symptoms have seemed to magnify itself. I've even developed swollen legs/feet that took a week to subside. Pretty painful getting around. Is it a herx? I wonder since this GsE kills off so much bacteria, etc. that it just might be. You think it may be a good idea to stop using it for awhile to see if my symptoms clear up? Also, I seem to be off-balance, meaning that I frequently stumble or lose my balance. If this stuff is not the culprit, I really wonder what's causing it. I take a lot of different herbs as well as CS. Maybe I'm overdosing or detoxing from too many things? I wonder and yet I've been too tired and foggy to figure it all out. Re: Melaleuca
According to a search I did, you may be right. It seems they are exactly the same tree, and they have been removing them because they grow so dense that that don't allow for any other vegetation to grow. Seems to me that these people/developers might be so dense themselves they don't realize just how important these tress are. Put me down for $10 as that's all I can afford right now; wish it could be more. Let me know where to send my check. For those of us who have financial restraints, which is the most reasonable colloidal silver maker? What is the Telesco one all about and how does it compare? Is it a quality machine? Re: Sears Water Distiller
The Sears water distiller sale ends Thursday, June 18. I plan on looking at the unit tomorrow as I am interested in purchasing one. Can anyone guide me as to what I should be looking for in the way of a good unit/bad unit? I phoned the local Sears store and asked if there were any product specs and was told "whatever is written on the box". As I have no knowledge of these machines, can anyone guide me as to what I should look out for? Any specific parts of the machine that break or wear down quickly. Should I buy any extra parts/pieces (is there any)? Guess I will find out tomorrow, but are there any rubber hoses, or other material, that these machines use? Are they of a material that would be toxic that I should watch out for? Sorry for all the questions people...just want to be prepared to make a wise purchase.
