Re: CSMSM????????

2000-08-05 Thread Rex Doane
Enjoyed your note, but there is an easier way.

First off, MSM is not silver related -- that's why there isn't a big
discussion about it here.

But if you look at the bottom of every message posted, you see a list of
resources, including - Silver-list archive:
http://escribe.com/health/thesilverlist/index.html
Click on that and type in MSM -- I got 908 matches.

Another resource is Asc Jeeves

Just type in what is MSM

There are other health related resources on the net. I tried Dr. Koop at
http://www.drkoop.com/ -- but he doesn't seem to know what MSM is

CSGreen Drink - was: Re: CSinterupted protocal

2000-08-04 Thread Rex Doane
We have been working with green juice for about six months now.

We have found that the best way to make it is with a good blender, like the
Krups unit (about $40 at cooking.com). Start with organic greens - we like
spinach, (especially baby spinach) and kale, (especially dinosaur kale),
with a bit of basil . Wash carefully and stuff the blender about half full.
Cover with purified water (filtered - not from the supermarket) and blend
until thoroughly mixed.

Diluting with water like this makes it much easier to drink everyday. We
try to get two full glasses a day. Also, adding a bit of fresh made almond
milk cuts down on the lawnmower taste even more. Still not delicious, but
there is no feeling of resistance to the taste. This is important for the
long term.

This green drink seems to be more balanced for the system long term than
carrot juice or fruit juice -- less sugar.

We try to consume this green drink twice a day between meals - with
grapefruit or canteloupe for breakfast, a large salad for lunch (with at
least one avocado each) and a mostly raw dinner. Lots more (balanced)
energy magic in life. Lots of nutrients - don't hardly ever look at those
vitamin bottles any more ;-)

Rex

Katie, you are most welcome. I would also feel self pity if I had your
problems. But they can be whittled down to size!! The green leaves to
use are just about anything. Lettuce of all kinds ( but not just
iceberg--too low in nutrients I've heard), the darker green the better,
carrot tops, not too much cabbage (gas), dandelion is good ( and cheap
if your lawn is like mine--heh heh). Your library may have some books
by Norman Walker--he is (was) a very good authority on veg. juices. You
can use most anything, but let's face it, too many celery leaves or too
much parsley and so on and you can't drink it, so just keep it green and
palatable till you can get a book or some more expert advice. Green
drink works. Should be taken on an empty stomach if I remember
correctly, and wait 30 to 45 minutes before eating anything else. Try
to eat nothing except fresh fruit before noon. That helps with energy
and cleansing. There are a lot of cheap and easy things that help a
lot. Doing just these things will make you feel better and give you a
breather till you can get your feet under yourself again. My family and
I use a Don Croft zapper with very good effect. It is cheap--59.00 US--
and comes with a battery. Easy to use--just put it in a sock and go
about your business. In about a week or week and a half, I became able
to work 5 days instead of only 3 or 4 and got rid of so much fatigue. I
don't know just how these things operate, but am so grateful for it. I
was so very tired all the time I just about couldn't go at all. Now I
am fine and enjoy life again. The other zappers seem to work for people
too, but that's the only one I have personal experience with. These
things I have mentioned will help you and I wish you the very, very
best. pj ps, one woman I recommended the zapper to said it
didn't help her so she got a refund. It sure works for all of us in
fact we got another one for more convenience.

Re: CSGreen Drink - was: Re: CSinterupted protocal

2000-08-04 Thread Rex Doane
Thanks for the vote of confidence. Just had my morning drink and realized
that I forgot to mention to strain the drink after it comes out of the
blender! Use a fine mesh strainer.

Yea, good tap water is probably better than store water -- water can leach
out the plastic chemicals while sitting in the new plastic jugs.

And as for supermarket produce -- sometimes its actually better than what
you'll find in a healthfood store. We go by the energy we feel from the
greens. If its from the supermarket, we wash extra carefully to get rid of
possible spray residues. Store-bought Organic produce often has spray
residues too -- it's just organic-certified spray. We try to get
everything from local farmers we trust, but of course that's not always
possible.

BTW, baby spinach leaves are totally different in taste than regular
spinach.

Rex

Katie, Rex knows what he's talking about. I will say that if you don't
have filtered water yet, then tap water will work ok ( store bought has
solvents in it I read somewhere) till you can do better. And of course
organic greens are better, but non-organic will help if you can't get
organic. I'm sure spinach is wonderful, but I can't stand a lot of it.
I do know from my mother's experience that green drink does wonders. In
her early 50' she said she felt better than she did when she was 17.
She is now 85 and still getting around. She used mostly lettuces; it
was all she had. best wishes pj

CSBentonite - was: Re:Poison Ivy

2000-07-29 Thread Rex Doane
I mentioned this application of Bentonite for Poison Ivy to my wife -- she
related that a friend got lead toxicity from bentonite. Our Naturopath
explained that there are many grades of bentonite. He recommended only
pharmaceutical grade bentonite, not food grade.

I don't know much about the factors involved but I did a search on the terms
bentonite and pharmaceutical and got back hundreds of pages. One of
them, Southern Clay Products, at http://www.gelwhite.com/phar/index.html
shows several different pharmaceutical grade bentonite products:
One of them, GELWHITE HNF lists 0.884 ppm lead.
They seem to indicate the limit for Pharmaceutical grade is 40 ppm, and the
limit for Purified Pharmaceutical Bentonite is 15 ppm. These are CFTA
guidelines, whatever that is.

I found some info on Dr. Schulze's detox program at
http://www.projectenlightenment.com/schulze1.html
he lists pharmaceutical grade bentonite as one of the ingredients.

Don't have any more info now, but it bears checking out further.

Rex

a few ideas. In a bath, put four cup of pure bentonite and some baking
soda. Bentonite is one of the handiest things to have around. Have
used it for many things. I buy a 50-lb bag from well drillers. Be sure
to ask for pure bentonite. My brother-in-law puts 4 cups of bentonite
and 1/2 bottle of peroxide in a hot bath after a day of crawling under
houses fixing pipes. Really helps the aching joints.

Re: CSOTMarsha-lymelists,cyst form of lyme

2000-06-26 Thread Rex Doane
I designed and built some of the first magnetic resonance units. Its not
really a fast rise time magnetic pulse.

You start with a strong DC magnetic field just to provide a stable
environment -- the effect is the same in the earth's magnetic field.

You hit the molecules (we used water) with an radio frequency pulse (27
mHz). Its not fast rise time, but it was synchronized so that a burst of
r.f. just started right up at the beginning of an r.f. cycle (tricky to do
40 years ago!).

This r.f. frequency was chosen to be the same as the rate of the electron
spin in that magnetic field. When the frequency is exactly the same as the
spin rate, there is a transfer of energy to the electron(s) and it (they)
flip over.

Meanwhile, you have quickly turned off the r.f. field and turned on a
receiver that is listening to the same coil. It will pick up the tiny burst
of r.f. energy that is given of as the electron flips.

The intensity and timing of the energy returned gives an indication of the
local energy fields that the electrons in question are being influenced by.
These can be interpreted to determine the atomic structure (that kept a lot
of people busy for a long time!)

At any rate, I don't think there is much of a correlation with the effects
of the magnetic pulser operation.

Rex

Magnetic resonance uses a fast rise time magnetic pulse to kick all the
molecules which then ring at their own characteristic frequency in a
strong
 DC magnetic field.

It is like plucking the string of a guitar. The fast rise time is the
pluck, the string tension is the DC magnetic field, and the system then
analyses the note that comes back and where it came from.

 Ivan Anderson wrote:

I don't know much about NMR, but it is the extremely fast rise time of

the beneficial effect. Magnetic resonance sounds like a continuous wave

Re: CSOT- Distilled water

2000-06-23 Thread Rex Doane
There's an easy way to make Distilled Water SAFE to drink -- toss a organic
dried apricot in it!! Then you have water loaded with minerals, and energy
from a live fruit. And maybe even homoepathic apricot!

Alternatively, use some form of sea salts or natural mineral mix. Since the
water is so thoroughly processed, it would probably be a good idea to
structure it with a magenetic or a Grander pen
http://www.granderwater.com/

Rex

Thanks for your information. It sound well founded, however, there seems
to
be mounting evidence from quite a few sources, that don't appear to have
any financial incentives, to indicate that distilled water is not the best
thing to drink over a long period of time.

Re: CSbaby shots and cs

2000-06-23 Thread Rex Doane
Our son had a reaction to his first measles vaccine shot, but we didn't make
the connection. A few years later, when we were convinced that he had
severe problems, we took him to a homeopath. The doctor (a former MD) took
one look at him and asked if he had had measles vaccine! Glassy eyes were a
giveaway -- elevated temperature, crankiness, etc. confirmed it. The doctor
fixed it quickly. This was 25 years ago -- we've raised two kids without
the help of toxic vaccines.

I don't see how silver could help at this point, but homeopaths do have
antidotes for all of the vaccines. There is a lot of info on the net
questioning the safety and even the purpose of vaccines.

A higher power op-amp circuit would do this same thing. I've never used
your H-Bridge configuration.

An op amp that can handle + - 40 volts or so at 100 ma or so would handle
this easily, but you could use a standard op amp at hooked up at +/- 15
volts or so feeding a pair of output buffer transistors that are hooked up
to a higher voltage.

This is a standard audio power amp configuration. The only difference is
that you are working at essentially D.C. voltages, which makes it a lot
easier.

Is this enough info to get you started??

Re: CSOff Topic/soy/sesame seeds/nutrition questions

1999-08-25 Thread Rex Doane
Katarina

I read this about soy also. We found a similar effect when researching a
book that we are just finishing up about making milk using sprouted almonds
(coming soon to a website near you :-).

Almonds have an enzyme inhibitor which is what keeps them dormant for years
and years. When eaten raw, this will neutralize some of your own enzymes.
BUT...when you soak the almonds overnight, this enzyme inhibitor is
converted to enzymes! That's a lot of why sprouts are so good for you.
Sprouted almond milk shakes are absolutely delicious and very energizing.
(and low fat, despite rumors to the contrary)

This enzyme inhibitor effect is also cancelled out when the almonds are
cooked. But that destroys the enzymes along with the enzyme inhibitors.

According to the source, the other alternative is to eat some digestive
enzyme tablets along with the soy. I'm not positive if we are looking at
the same effect in soy and sesame seeds, but it seems reasonable.

Almond milk smoothies for breakfast, along with a few kelp tablets and,
during the day, a couple glasses of fresh organic fruit and vegetable juice
feels like it provides all of the nutrients I need.

I also take Colustrum, which I suspect may good for treating Candida - see

 Hi Listers,
since so many of you are so knowledgeable about nutrition, I wonder if
anyone
 can answer these questions.
Someone just told me that unfermented soy is bad for you because it
contains
tripsen (sp) inhibitors which create incomplete digestion of proteins and
negatively affects the bodys use of calcium, zinc and iron and also that
it
harms your thyroid. She said that supposedly the only healthful kinds of
soy
are tempeh and miso and soy sauce. This concerns me because I don't eat
dairy
and thus often eat tofu or use soy milk in things. Any feedback?

Another question I had was on the sesame seed issue of oxalates (sp?) in
hulled sesame seeds. What are they and in what way are they bad for you? I
like the idea of using sesame seeds as a calcium source so I've been
making a
morning shake with flax seeds, flax oil, hulled sesame seeds, soy yoghurt
and
fruit. Any ideas on how much sesame seeds is good and whether it would
harm
them to be roasted and whether hulled or unhulled is good would be
helpful.

And then, at the recommendtion of someone on the list I read Fit for
life
about food combining and found out that according to the theories of food
combining fruit and protein is bad for you.

I've gotten to this place of tremendous frustration because every time I
find
out one interesting thing, I find something else to contradict or confuse
it.

So -- I liked the idea of flax seed oil and cottage cheese, but I believe
the
studies which show that dairy promotes osteoporosis so I don't eat it. So
I
combine the flax oil with soy yoghurt or tofu and hope it has the same
effect. But now maybe soy yoghurt and tofu are bad for you - or maybe they
are fermented enough to be okay.
And I love making morning shakes, but fit for life says fruit only in the
mornings and without anything else. However, trying that for even a few
days
made my candida very happy and me miserable. So I'd like to stick with the
shakes. One thought was to make them with just oranges and banana and
sesame
and flax but no soy. Does anyone know if seeds are allright to combine
with
fruit? And I sometimes take MSM -- does anyone know if since Johanna
Budwigs
flax oil theories have to do with combining flaxoil and protein and
sulfur --
would I get enough protein from the flax and sesame and enough sulfur from
msm to activate the flax oil?
Sorry if this is very off topic, but I think you guys are the best people
I
 know to ask.
 Thanks again,
 Katarina

Re: CSOff Topic/soy/sesame seeds/nutrition questions

1999-08-25 Thread Rex Doane
thanks so much for the wonderful information and I intend to make myself a
 sprouted almond shake tommorow.

So you think that soaking the sesame seeds
overnight might also be a good idea? How about flax seeds?
I don't really know. I don't even know if they sprout. Sprouting is
different in different seeds. Alfalfa sprouts take several days and aren't
ready till they grow tails and everything - they are also rather bitter.
Almonds sprout overnight - the only visible effect is that they swell a bit.
And they are sweeter that unsprouted.

I'm not sure how tofu and soy milk are made -- aren't they cooked? which
would kill both enzymes and enzyme inhibitor?
A quote from http://ocean.st.usm.edu/~yfchen/tofu-made.htm

1. First, raw Tofu Soybeans are soaked in water overnight then drained. The
beans are then ground as a small quantity of boiling water is being poured
over them. Then the mash is spooned into boiling water, like dumplings, and
allowed to boil gently for about 10 minutes. This stage of the process is
crucial as a certain enzyme in the bean is broken down during this time. If
the enzyme is not destroyed, the Soy protein is not digestable by humans.

2. The resulting slurry is filtered. The liquid is Soy Milk, and the pulp is
good for mixing with flour to make bread or for feeding to the Pigs, or as a
last resort, fertilizer

This would imply that the fear of enzyme problems caused by tofu soy milk
is misinformation. On the other hand, sprouting almonds to convert enzyme
inhibitors gives you all the benefits of enzymes.

Thanks again for that and the other info on candida
 Take care,
 Katarina

CSRe: Hanna TDS Meter

1999-08-22 Thread Rex Doane
The $14.90 Total Dissolved Solids Meter mentioned is at
http://www.hannainst.com/products/promo/usa/usaprmo.htm

This is a real bargain!
Housed in a pocket sized ABS case, this electronic Total Dissolved Solids
tester is very durable. It is the ideal meter for fish farming, agriculture,
plating and water purification applications. TDS 1 is supplied complete with
protective cap, calibration screwdriver and 4 x 1.4V batteries.
Wide Measurement Range: TDS1 = 1 to 999 ppm
Excellent Accuracy + 2% Full Scale
Long Battery Life more than 1000 measurements
One-Point Calibration
ATC
(I think ATC means Automatic Temperature Calibration)

Hanna is a major instrumentation manufacturer.
You would have to go to a Conductivity Meter for more accuracy - they list a
model HI 9033 with 4-Ring Technology Full Range in a Portable Handy
Model $369.99 which is reasonable enough.

They also have a $29.90 ph probe/meter!

Re: CSHostilities, OT stuff, options...

1999-08-03 Thread Rex Doane
I do not know what exactly triggered the hostilities directed at Trem
Williams. He's been very cautious in his dealings with my limitations
on commercial activity, asking for approval for posting certain
information or statements several times since coming aboard.

If any of the participants would please explain to me, in private
e-mail, the source of their feelings, I would appreciate it. I am
trying not to play favorites. So if there is anything I have done or
not done that should be discussed, I want to know about it, please.

I tried to send this to M.G. Devour at mdev...@mail.id.net but got an error
message saying that this address was not deliverable (error 550 - Domain has
no MX or ANAME record) so I will send this to the list.

===

I'm afraid I began the Trem-bashing

I certainly did not mean to start any sort of personal attack. Trem shared
his research findings that current regulation may well be essential for
proper CS production, which makes good sense, pending some actual lab
measurements. But then he added:

Yes, current limiting does work and quite well. We have a current
regulator
in our generators which hold the current at 1 milliampere throughout the
whole operating time. The end product is always the same: uniform small
particle size and little or no fallout.

I would post the circuit for the members but after all we are in business
to
sell generators, not to give our proprietary circuit away.

===
I responded ---

What is proprietary about a current regulator?

This has been a standard electronic circuit for over 30 years (older than
that in the tube version).

National Semiconductor came out with an integrated circuit version in the
70's, I believe, the LM334 -- the data sheet is available at
http://www.national.com/ds/LM/LM134.pdf (The LM334 is the cheap
commercial
version of the LM134). It costs about a dollar.

It has 3 terminals V+ V- and R. It's been years since I actually used
one,
but as I read the data sheet, the V+ goes to the Plus terminal of the
battery, the V- terminal will go to the silver electrode and the other
electrode goes to the Minus terminal of the battery. The current setting
resistor is connected between V+ and R -- . It looks like a 68 ohm
resistor
will set the current to a steady 1 milliamp with a battery range of about
3
volts to 40 volts.

Or am I missing something?

I tried to keep this a level-headed response, but this was apparently seen
otherwise. I have designed circuits of this type for 30 years, and as far
as I know, current regulators are standard text book circuits. I just
wanted to point this out and I asked to be corrected if there really was
anything unique. The next response was

What I said was, I wasn't interested in showing OUR circuit, which IS
proprietary. Of course there are many current regulator designs out there.
Some are quite complicated; some aren't. Ours just works quite well at
holding low current levels with very little temperature drift and undue
complexity. We use discrete components; i.e. transistors, diodes,
resistors. Anyone is free to use whatever they think they can assemble.
We
just design and assemble colloid generators for others and charge them for
our expertise and labor and make a profit at the same time. No problem
with
that as far as I can see.

Good luck on your home electronic project.

I meant to respond privately but inadvertantly sent this to the list:

What you implied was that you are doing something that nobody else can. That
the non-technical person better buy from the expert. Your systems seem fine
and reasonably priced. But why pretend that you have a big secret.

Sorry but in this application it ain't so. I would agree for an audio
application where there many complex factors involved, but we are talking
simple direct current here.

This is a rather patronizing statement. The current regulator component is

One way to control current is to place a variable resistor and
milliammeter
in series with one electrode and adjust the resistor to maintain the
current
as desired. This will take a lot of effort on your part as the current is
always changing as silver is being deposited in the water. It is much
better to use an automatic regulator. Guesswork and your constant time
spent watching a meter are eliminated.

DO NOT use tap water. It can contain minerals which will react with the
silver to form chlorides. All you want at the end of the operation is
colloidal silver particles in the water. If you want minerals, take them
separately. Some silver salts can be detrimental to you. Surely you can
afford a dollar for a gallon of distilled water in the supermarket.

   Be well,

   Mike

There has been a some postings about limiting current flow to get
smaller
  particles in the past.

Experience has shown me that even as little as 27VDC does produce larger
particles, when using non distilled water of any kind. But voltage
doesn't
cause it, current flow it the problem.

Would limiting the voltage, say to 12VDC, reduce current flow? Would it
be
best to start with 27VDC and then reduce the voltage as current flow
 begins
to increase, like you can do with a light bulb to increase and decrease
 the
  brightness?

If I remember correctly there was some postings on monitoring the
process
until it reached a set milliamps. What if we could control the current
 flow
at an optimal level? Would we be able to produce small particle high PPM
  batches even with LVDC units?

(Was I the one that said we were making things to complicated?) :-)

Still I think Mike has an exciting idea.

To bad I don't know much about electricity.

I too would like to see a discussion on this limiting current in
 relation
to how it can be done on the simple low voltage units.

Once a person knows how to limit current it should work equally well
with
  distilled or non distilled water.

Then, of course, will come the questions of how much current limiting
 should
be done, as we seek the optimal levels, and the time increase for making
a
batch. But that is the cost of progress and, in my view, one of the
 reasons
  for this list.

Sadly, as Mike has said, we have lost many of our high tech members, but
I
think there are enough minds still on to tackle this.

Re: cs

1999-07-28 Thread Rex Doane
I asked the people at http://www.health2us.com/colloid.htm why they felt a
digital conductivity meter was necessary. They said that the most important
variable to control is the purity of the original water. They didn't
elaborate, but I assume it is to avoid the creation of strange chemical
compounds, including silver chloride and silver nitrate.

If you do a search on solar water distillers you'll find a lot of plans
for moderate cost units. One unit at
http://forums.cosmoaccess.net/forum/survival/prep/sstill.htm describes the
process --

Solar Stills operate on the same principles that produce rainfall. The sun
is allowed into and trapped in the Still. The high temperatures produced
destroy all pathogens. The water evaporates, and in this process, only pure
water vapor rises in the Still, only to condense on the glass. The glass is
sloped to the south, and the condensed water runs down the glass and is
collected in a trough. The water is allowed out of the collector through
silicone tubing, and is collected in 5 gallon glass jugs. There are no
moving parts in the solar still, and only the sun's energy is required for
operation. Of course, in addition to providing a base for making CS, a
solar still provides clean, purified drinking water.

They estimate that 8 square feet of glass will produce one gallon a day. The
trick is to do this with materials available locally. I recall seeing
simpler units a few years ago -- Peace Corps other organizations should
have plans. A solar distiller could also provide water for other purposes,
and even create a business making distillers for local use.

 Hi everyone,
I got interested in cs because I heard it purifies water, so I wanted to
give some generators to some missionaries I know. I've gotten sidetracked
with all the different procedures and opinions on the making of cs, but
now
am asking for help with my original questions.
In Africa, my friends don't have access to distilled water or electricity
(that's why I'm sending battery generators.) So how would you purify
regular water? Has anyone actually had bad water tested after being
 treated with cs?
 Thanks,
 Karen
