From veterinary experience a friend of mine had with artemesinin as
cancer treatment on a pet, DMSO causes the skin to remain permeable for
at least a full hour after application. In this particular treatment, a
50/50 mix of DMSO and distilled water was applied to the area to be
treated, then allowed to dry for an hour. After the hour, the
artemesinin was applied, and it absorbed into the skin.

I used to have photos of the artemesinin application and then a photo of
it at 1 hour post application. If you want to see them I can try to find
them and send to you.

FWIW, years ago I read somewhere that the skin permeability from DMSO
lasts around 2 hours. Don't remember where I read it, though, but I have
always gone by that timing if I was at all unsure of any ingredient in
anything I was applying after DMSO. Personally, the only thing I apply
to skin immediately after or within 2 hours of using DMSO is pure virgin
coconut oil, but that is my own personal preference and usage.

addendum:

I should add, it was the vet in the case mentioned below who came up
with the info that DMSO leaves the skin much more permeable for an hour
post application of DMSO.

I was wrong about the herbal treatment: it was ARTEMETHER, not artemesinin.

The photos are to be found at:

If you are a list member of Silver Pets you can view by clicking on

I don't really have enough knowledge of its action to say for sure. I
would imagine that Sandy's suggestion (when it's dry) is probably safe.

I notice that it does remain tacky or a bit damp feeling for quite a
while, moreso than just with water.

Peace,

Thanks Mike,
Your post is reassuring. I have psoriasis which is responding well to
a mix of gotu kola tincture, DMSO, glycerin and Lugol's. I use this on
all my patches at night and many during the day, but there are some on
my face and forearms that I'd like to cover with make-up in the
daytime. Obviously i don't want the make-up (no matter how clean they
claim it is) to be carried in, so have wondered if I should wash off
the mixture first, or let it reamin as a remedial layer beneath the
cover-up.

Be well,
Léna

Re: CS[List Owner] A few things...To Mike

2011-01-27 Thread Jonathan B. Britten

I've recently asked a good friend to write a full report about his wife's
experience with the Budwig Diet, but here's a summary:

About two years ago she (middle-aged) was diagnosed with stage four metastatic
colon cancer. The worst of the tumor was surgically excised, but she kept her
colon. She was advised by MDs to take chemotherapy and radiation, and had a
chemo shunt installed.

Her husband recalled my mention of the Budwig Diet some time previous (I think
I'd learned about it from this list, btw.) He discussed that with his wife,
and they decided to try that rather than the prescribed therapy, which, had she
taken it, would have given her only six months to a year to live, according to
the MDs.

To make a long story short, she combined the Budwig flaxseed/cottage cheese
regimen with an overall healthy diet (macrobiotic? I don't know the details)
and two years later is in good health, with no markers of cancer whatsoever.
Incidentally, flaxseed oil is nearly impossible to find in Japan -- no one
has heard of it. He gets it via iHerb.com, which has low-cost shipping
worldwide.

All the details would be good to know and maybe in time my friend and his wife
will write everything down.

Budwig claimed cures for even late-stage cancer for nearly everyone who adhered
to the protocol. There's very good reason to hope for success.

CS[List Owner] A few things...

2011-01-26 Thread M. G. Devour
Hi folks,

First, a reminder to those who are experimenting with DMSO:

If anything you mix with it is made up of small enough molecules, it
WILL go directly into the cells of your body. If it is toxic, you could
have an extremely dangerous situation.

So, make sure you KNOW what's in any ingredients you add to a
preparation containing DMSO. If you cannot be sure that it is either
safe to transport directly into every cell of your body, or certain
that it is too big to be transported, DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE.

Please.

If anybody thinks I'm overstating the danger, please let me know.

As for the, ahem, impolite exit of one member a couple of days ago, my
apologies. After all that they seemed to have managed to get
*themselves* unsubscribed... which I find amusing.

Normally if I detect anybody having difficulties I can deal with them
in a timely fashion. This one apparently didn't manage to do anything
to stand out from the spam in my in-box... y'know, like e-mailing the
list owner or something... sigh

Another item, briefly: Please refrain from comments regarding your
negative feelings towards other list members. I do NOT want to hear
such remarks on the list. You're welcome to leave if you find the
company unappealing.

If you have such concerns you cannot deal with on your own, please
contact me to discuss them. If there's anything I can do to help, I
will consider it.

Finally, let's not get too involved in talking about... ummm, lessee...
oh, how 'bout aliens? Thanks!
