Dear Lew, The colours on my pc are good. The monitor does not need degaussing, it is really OK for other sites and programs. I think the problem is with your site. As I said, when it arrives here the text is pale on a white background. Impossible to read. Also will not select. So I never did get to read what you had to say. Seems to me that the site is too fancy somehow. Pity about that. My guess is that your page has a dark background to which does not arrive or does not get switched on. I hope this is helpful to you. I don't have arthritis but I've had the symptoms. The symptoms have been aleviated by changing my diet to much less flour products...bread, pasta etc. If I get too much of those products, then my foot will start to hurt. Strangely enough it's a nerve pain so I never connected eating with the pain till a friend told me about it. personally 99% sure that what I am dealing with is none other than leaky

syndrome...I experience alergic-like reactions whenever I

main symptom besides the arthritis is watery eyes.this is just about

drive me nuts!!!My arthritis pain comes and goesand thus far

still avoiding my hands{Thank God}..My worst spot is my
shoulders.the attacks jump around...from place to place...right

it is very very bad in my left shoulder..Feels like it has eate all

to take vioxx...nothing else I know of will take the edge off of the
pain.I'm about to go nuts from all of this stuffif anyone

offer any advice.it would be much appreciated..I'm still hell
bent
against letting the medical proffesion do its thing...here's

I'm doing right nowI'm on the water cure..have been for a

time..since I weigh about 200.give or take.I'm drinking
about
100 ounces.I'm also on MSM6000 mg per day..b-12..6000 mcg

day...I just started liquid alo vera.3 ounces per dayand
also just started PDA.these last two supplements were given by the
advice of my local health food store guru.I've also stopped
swallowing CS..I am doing the holding it in my mouth for 4 minute
thingI'm afraid of further damaging my flora
If I fast for 2 or 3 days..the pain almost tottally
disappears..but I gotsta eat.other than the hunger...I
feel
great while doing thisperhaps a marathon fast is in
order??..I
don't know if I can stand doing that or not..Many thanks to those of
you
who have offered help in the past.and many thanks in advance for
what
I
know will be good advice in the future.Robb

to when I got sick..I was working on a computer for many hours every
day...sometimes as many as 12 hours a day...then I became ill with

Computer monitors, unless COMPLETELY shielded, emit toxic radiation. Even
the fan in the computer box emits a potentially dangerous EM field. Trust
your body. It's probably the computer. I would try to protect myself as much
as possible.
Perhaps someone on the list knows of a company that sells diodes to protect
the user from computer emissions.

I noticed you have gotten lots of answers to this message. Here is one
more.
Negative ions are very healthy, while positive ions are destructive.
Negative ions have extra electrons that they will give up to feed your body
energy system. Positive ions are lacking electrons, and they try to steal
electrons from other (your body) systems. Free radicals can be very
dangerous. So how does this relate to you? Your computer display has about
35,000 volts of positive electrostatic electricity less than 1/2 inch from
the front of the screen. This will attract opposite charges from the
surroundings including your body. That will, given enough time discharge
your body energy system. So what can you do? First run this test. Take a
piece of regular printer paper and hold it to the front glass of your
monitor. If it sticks to the glass and will not slide down by itself, you
have an old (dangerous) monitor. Nina mentioned that the new Swedish
monitors are much better in this regard, but they are quite expensive. You
have a less expensive option, and that is to by a EMI screen to put in front
of the monitor. This consists of a very fine metallic mesh that has a wire
that you must connect to ground. This will redirect the 35,000 volt
positive charge to ground and protect you. The fine mesh also gives you a
better looking display. Polaroid made them, but I think 3M makes them now.

Just for the record, his name is Dr. John Krause. It has been a few years since I have spoken to him, but I believe he is still alive and well, and over 90 years old. His accomplishments in life are astounding. Nonetheless, for those who believe that 50 or 60 Hz EMR is toxic, I have some very bad news for you. The only way to escape it is to leave the planet. The energy travels around the globe practically lossless (I believe a loss of less than 0.1 dB per pass around the earth). We are literally bathed in a sea of electromagnetic waves. The electrical lines that eneter your house make a great longwire antenna, and bring in RF of many, many frequencies. Admittedly, I only purchase monitors wich meet the most stringent radiation specifications. But, my concern is mainly the s-rays (soft x-rays) that they emit. Even going with a LCD monitor will not eliminate electromagnetic radiation. And, while a Faraday cage would protect the user from the electrical component, there is no way to shield yourself from the low-frequency magnetic component. Even Faraday cages made of Mu metal have failed. While the fan motor may emit radiation, it is many, many times weaker than the fields generated by your house wiring. You can get a lot of hand problems unless you have the ergonomic keyboard.
I had to have my 3rd and 4th fingers strapped together for about 3 weeks at
one time to overcome the pain. Now I have an ergonomic keyboard, I have no
problems.
I put a small reminder on my screen frame - DO EYE STRETCHING!
This involves looking as high to the right hand top corner of the room and
then as high to the left hand top corner of the room x 3.
Then as low and as far to the bottom right and the same to the bottom left x
3.
This relaxes the bug-eyed stare muscles that you develop from looking at
a screen too long. Do the eye muscle stretching several times a day. Move
your eyes not your head.
Do some long distance stares and stretches outside too, so you don't only
work your short eye muscles.

They make screens that go in front of your computer screen to reduce the
glare. Do you have flourescent lighting as well? My eyes cannot tolerate
flourescent lighting.
