Paula,
I make my own oil. It is called Nigari, I get the kind from Japan and not from
China.
The formula is 1 cup of Nigari to 4 cups of water heat up a little and there
you have it.
I pay 1.32 lb and get it from my local co op. No freight involved.

That is interesting. I have never heard of Nigari but I imagion it would be
much cheaper. We don't have a co-op here. I wonder where I could get the
Nigari. I guess I will google.

Nigari is either calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, or a mixture of the two.
It's used for making tofu (soy is estrogenic and dangerous, so I don't eat it
except for small amounts of properly fermented miso or soy sauce).

I get my magnesium chloride flakes as nigari, from Japan, here:

http://www.herbalhut.com/detail.aspx?ID=21178

Thanks for the recipe, Mary. It's much cheaper making your own.

If I were you I would go to a site called health-and-wisdom.com. The site
sells mag oil, the owner of the business is Joan, you can call her@ 1- 877 852

a multitude of vitamins, but not Nigari,(please do not mention it) only the
oil. I started using her oil as it was cheeper and she is so very helpful.
You will like her.
She has a wealth of information up her sleeve.
She also is on a site---forums t tapp magnesium oil--- there are 78 pages where
everyone tells of their experience in using mo. I read everyone of the
testimonials. I have learned much on this site and others, like I said before
I have read transdermal mag therapy and believe in it.

Hope this helps you
Did you go to the mgwater site?? This site is where I started on my journey of
