Ancient would be my favorite, Eudora Pro 3.03

It locks up when run on Win ME now and then requiring a reboot, otherwise
simple and flawless.

Eu 4 has too many features for me.

Don't know about ancient Lite, Ode, but as an oldie now prone to what one
of my 80 year young neighbours calls Seniors Moments, it works a treat
for me in EudoraPro 6.2 .:-)

On another list a friend just told me he runs 16 Newsletters - real ones -
active like here - all out of EudoraPro Free version ( miserable sod) and
Yahoogroups.Who's freebie Maillist service is getting better alla time.
Just found another thing it does courtesy of that friend.

CSalternatives to IE and OE,

2004-11-13 Thread Tony Moody
I have been using Pegasus for a few years and would not go back to
any of the others that i tried, ei, netscape, mozilla, eudora, opera,
and more. Also there is an online Pegasus Mail discussion group,
members of which answer questions quickly and easily, even when
the answer is in the very comprehensive information included. Free
or donate to help with the development costs from
http://www.pmail.com

Among many other features Pegasus has excellent search facilities.
Either finding a single word or phrase or more complex searches like
I want to select all the messages from David that are older than 15
days, don't have any colour set on them, and aren't marked as
urgent

 Hi Sol,
Yes, very good. A lot of businesses run their whole customer contact
scenario with it. The only one recognised as better is Pegasus but that
 *is* for pros.
BTW: I'm trialling the latest Opera v7 and am very impressed - not with
 the mail - yet.

Sol,

Eudora Pro has a very good search program. Filter are easy to create so
that you can keep list mail separate if you want. I have been using it for
several yrs and it's great.
