You are right, Dorothy, if this were a public forum owned by the public. But it
is open to the public at the will of a private individual. The terms, prejudice
and patronize are relevant only in truly public areas that are publicly owned.
You have every right to host your own private group and invite the public to
join. But you make the rules, and constitutional rights do not apply.

There is no such thing as no particular religion. That is like saying
no particular disease, all disease is a particular disease, or it is not
a disease at all. Discussing spiritual topics as to health is allowed,
discussing religion, even in the abstract like you are doing is not
allowed. Please take any discussions on religion to the off topic list
where I will be happy to explain your error in logic.

I agree. One has multiple bodies, the physical, astral and spiritual
to name a few. Healing one without the other never leads to long term
success. One needs to be holistic in that ALL bodies should be healed.
Adding intent to anything physically done is just as important as the
physical stuff. That was the secret of "The Secret".

I don't think this is the same thing at all, and have an open mind about most
alternative healing methods. You are right though--religion does scare me--or
at least, the behaviour it invokes in people does. Take what is happening
right now--all people on this list are devoted to health matters and mainly
agree with one another--until religion is mentioned. As Neville said this is
why it is best to avoid all mention of it - and this I will now do (sorry Mike
and all) dee

You are absolutely right about the purpose of this list only where is the Hate

If my posting reflected hate in your mind it might be said you hate doctors and
that would offend them.
It doesn't take much to offend some people.

Not sure what you guys are afraid of but if you are afraid of

you're missing something in the healing process.

I for one believe that the mind is part of healing.. if you call that

RE: CS>Dave Darrin< remove from list

2010-10-03 Thread Neville Munn

The place for ones personal religious or spiritual belief is NOT the public
domain.

Follow the guidelines, show due consideration for others beliefs and
philosophies, and show such support in private, after all, it is an individuals
personal philosophy and it should remain as such, hence one will avoid any flak
which is bound to be incoming. Some take religion and/or spirituallity quite
serious, and that's a double edged sword, so it would be better to keep it
private and avoid inciting such responses from those who hold a different
philosophy.

You're entitled to yours, I'm entitled to mine, keep that in mind and
everything'll be sweetsay n'more, say n'more.

Oh, get a GRIP!

The mean spiritness being shown is way more offensive than an
innocuous affirmation for healing.

PC really sucks!

Well if that don't smack of religion I dunno what does ...?
If he meant Ra the sun god, the sacred cow of India, or Inca, Mayan or Aztec
human sacrifice, then he should have made that clear and it probly wouldn't
have been so offensive.

Some reserve the right to NOT subscribe to such ideals, and that right should
be RESPECTED!

Besides, from what I can tell Robert was not addressing his comment to you.

Doesn't Mike also have some sort of rule about being civil?
