[RCSE] ThankYou RCSE for the 9303 help!
Thank You to all of you that so graciously lended a helping hand to a not-so-technologically-advanced (to put it lightly) slopehead...flying em' just seems like so much more fun! :) As foreign as the 9303 has seemed, like most things, once I got a grip on it , it seems so much more do-able. I , again, just can't say enough good things about this forum and those of you who belong. The genuine desire to help someone unconditionally is the best quality I think one can have..especially the MANY dumb questions I was asking.but seriously I am truly thankful for all the support guys! Big PROPS for Marc Gellart (and many others , to not overlook anyone)the man must have spent 2 hours on the phone walking me through the thing and explaining in detail how best to set it up for the kind of flying I do. Thats a HUGE task and He never even met me! What a cool Cat! There were so MANY of you that had a hand in helpingI just hope one day I can pass on the same Karma! [RCSE] 9303???
Does the JR 9303 Heli version have all the sailplane programming available in it as well? I have heard it does with the big difference between it and the airplane/sailplane version being switch location? thanks, Walter
[RCSE] Re: Soaring V1 #7257
Try this one. Works well and reasonably priced: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?I=LXHHS2P=7 Gyros are generally beneficial for a poly but not as useful for a flaperon style DLG. [RCSE] Multiplex Slim Star servo?
Guys Gals, I was shopping around looking for some of those new Airtronics digital wing servos for the Stratos 5. Tower is out of them until late April, so I started looking at alternatives. So, I'm browsing around the Tower site and I run into the Multiplex Slim Star servo. Damn, this looks like a heck of a servo for thin wings where a lot of torque is required. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?I=LXGZV1P=7 Thickness: .4 (thin enough) [EMAIL PROTECTED]: 101 oz/in !!! Speed: .10 to 60 degrees !!! Gears: metal Weight: 23 grams (virtually the same as the Airtronics) Apparently, they come with mounts for molded wings, but I haven't found pics yet. Have any of you guys had experience with these? Looks like a killer servo. Any info appreciated. --Jim Laurel RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Re: [RCSE] Hand launch Gyro
While many top pros arn't using gyros I have found it an easy way to add 10ft' average height to my launches. (measured with a ram2 altimiter). Another benefit is a gyro can really save you from a hooked launch. I think for a begining dlg thrower they are a good investment. you don't need an expensive one the MPI gyro is under $50 and works great right out of the box. with the case off it's pretty light I'm guessing 5-7 grams? just my 2 cents Pete RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
