[RCSE] Radio Channel frequencies
HI All, I remember several years ago some one had posted a formula that would get the channel number if you knew the frequency. I thought that I still had it and was going to re post it for this recent thread but alas I couldn't find it. Does anyone still have and would you re post it to the list. Thanks! RE: [RCSE] all this chat about chargers???
While we are on the subject... I pulled a plane down to charge that I haven't flown for about two months and found that I had left the on/off switch in the on position. The battery is 1100 mah and is less that a year old. When I hooked it up to my new Litco Alpha 4 it showed an open circuit and would not charge. I plugged the dead battery up to a wall wart charger and left it on for 14 hour. The battery took a charge so I was able to cycle it with the Alpha 4 3 times. Would you trust this battery in your plane? Why couldn't I get the Alpha 4 to charge it? Thanks, Gary Baldwin Tallahassee, FL
[RCSE] What do you use?
Hi All, I maintain the winches for my club and I always put #30 - 295 lb. twisted line on the winch spools. We have a lot of blackberry plants and the really chew up monofilament line and of course the twisted line doesn't tangle when it is new line mono does. Braided line just doesn't seem, to me any way, to have the snap that the twisted line does. We also use #9 - 84 lb twisted line on the retriever. What line do you guys and gals use and why? [RCSE] Old plans
Hi All, I'm wondering if anyone can help my friend who is looking for some old sailplane plans. Here is a copy of his note to me. Please response directly to him. I am looking for the article about the Schweizer TG-2 sailplane in the April 1984 issue of MAN. I would like to read the article and look at the plans before I buy the full size plans (they are 29.95). The plan set number is FSP04842. I would prefer to have someone send the article to me by e-mail but my fax number is 850 488-9393. This is my work FAX so be sure to put my name on it. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks! [RCSE] First Emerald!
Hi All, I just received my first moulded sailplane, thanks to Ed Sleger and Skip Miller! Of course it is gorgeous and I want to do things right so my question is about mounting servos in that moulded wing. Yes I have read the direction and I know how Skip suggested to mount them but I know that this question has also been posted to the list a year or so ago and that there are other elegant ways to solve this task. Please send to me privately or via the list how you like to mount your servos in a moulded wing. Thanks. [RCSE] Elevator Servo?
Hi All, I think that most of you would agree that the elevator servo in a TD plane (that's all I fly) is the most important servo in your plane... so which servo do you use in your open class plane in the mid 60 oz weight range. Scobie, I just weighed them both (case on, I'm not ready to remove the cases just yet) and the Berg is .65 oz and the JR 610 is .445 oz on my digital scales. Hope that helps.
