Hello to all, this Sunday is the 4th sunday and time for f3f practice at los banos. I will not be able to make it this sunday due to the hollyday. Wind? the forcast is for 14mph from the SSW, the is the wrong way for slope saoring, but the ds hill could be working. Someone will have to make the call as to weather the practice is on or not. Good Luck and Happy Hollyday jj

[RCSE] Profi 4000 what is the value
Thank you to all that responded, I received the feed back that I was hoping for plus some unexpected replies. About half the people that responded offered to help me figure out the radio, this was above and beyond the call as far as I am concerned. Thanks for the offers of help, I am very fortunate to belong so a very caring community of glider enthusiasts. Thanks again jim jacobson jj ---BeginMessage--- Hello to you all, I have a profi 4000 and am thinking about selling but I have no idea as to what to ask for the radio. If you profi people could give me astarting point I would appreciate your input. [RCSE] Airtronics SP7 Module upgrade
Hell, I am going fishing for a Atracs upgrade. I have two Air SP7 Modules and was wondering if there were any ATRACS upgrades out there. I don't care if it is a 4 memory or 8. thanks jj RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. [RCSE] Profi 4000
I am thinking about selling my profi 4000 but don't know what to ask for it, what is a fair price. It is in good condition no cracks, a few scratches. It has software version 2.0, new battery pack 3300 mh Ni-metal hydride, multiplex metal case, all the swithces and sliders work as they are supposed to do. You may be asking why am I selling this profi 4000, it is because my peanut brain can't figure out this radio. Thanks jj RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. [RCSE] Davenport MOM July 6
We have enough pilots to hold the race, the turn out is around a dozen pilots, so there will be plenty of flying for all. The best spectator glider event, Man On Man Unlimited pylon racing. The race will be held at Davenport California at the Big Creek lumber company site. http://sloperacing.com/isr2002.htm#directions Pilots meeting will be at 9:00 am, the race will start when the conditions allow. The last heat will start before 5:00 P.M., followed by the fly offs if there are any ties. We will fly as many rounds as possible, with no through outs. I will e-mail the pilots and helpers individually over the next few days. If you have questions e-mail me Jim Jacobson [EMAIL PROTECTED] jj RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. [RCSE] Acacia planforms
I am looking for the Acacia I II planforms. The ones that show the 3-views and the dimensions. I have searched the regular spots and have been unable to find them. Any tips ? I want to put these dimensions into the Envision plane program for stability calculations. thanks jj RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Cliff, If the DS clown act is in SoCal, why is the meca in your neck of the woods. Apparently the rings of clowns are bigger than you would like people to believe. Hey cliff why is your nose redand sooo big. jj Message: 4 Date: Thu, 28 Feb 2002 06:12:11 -0800 From: Cliff's E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [RCSE] RE: Davenport - the North Keeps getting trounced by the South They probably aren't light wind flyers. We have real wind up here. Oh, by the way, most of the guys up here don't do stupid circles. That usually takes place down your way with foamies. Kind of a clown act you might say. [RCSE] Gel coats - how are they applied
Hello, I am interested in learning how gel coats are applied to the molds. I believe they are thickened epoxy applied to the mold. But how are they applied to be consistent and without the fibers showing through. thanks in advance. Jim and Mary Jo Jacobson RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. [RCSE] Hitec great customer service.
I recently purchased a used slope plane that was equipped with Hitec HS-81 mg servos. One of the aileron servos would not center, it was off by 1/16 of an inch. I replaced the servo with a hs-81mg that I had in my spare parts box. I sent off the servo to be repaired, a few days latter a note from hitec came in the mail confirming that they received my servo. This was a welcomed note because I always wonder if the parcel service losses my packages. Today I received a package from hitec, I opened it looking for my repaired part and the bill to fix it, only I didn't find my repaired part I found a brand new one. The repair order that came with the package stated that the servo had a bad amp, the total cost was $0. This is fantastic, a company that charges a fair price for their products, and is willing to do the work needed to keep their customers. I would strongly recommend Hitec to others. [RCSE] Aireron Cutouts, How do you make them perfect
Help, I had a hard time cutting out my ailerons on a glass wing today. I used an e-xacto knife guided by a strait edge on the bottom skin, got poor results, then I tried a razor saw on the top skin, and got poor results. Ok I butchered them. How do the Experts cut ailerons on glass skins over foam and make them perfect, i.e. no wiggles and no mismatches, I need to know. [RCSE] Old Cheetah need new home
I have an old Cheetah that needs a new home. It is well flown and abused, the fus has a small rip in it but still flies. The wing is not the original poster board but is balsa covered and strong, much stronger than the rubber bands that hold it on. Best of all it is FREE, you pay shipping. I prefer that it goes to a home that can use it as a trainer/ aileron trainner. I don't want it to go to a house that will resale it or stick it into a corner and forget it. For those of you not familiar with the cheetah it is a slope combat plane build in the early 90's for people to smash and bash their planes with out risking balsa or glass planes. It is heavier than the modern EPP planes and needs more wind. The wing and fins are made from white foam covered with poster board paper. The wings are held onto the fus with rubber bands, while the fins are taped onto the fus. All in all they were fun. Jim and Mary Jo Jacobson RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
