Boy, see what communitions can do. Why do some of you just fly off the handle and trash someone because you don't get instant communitions. Slow down a little, it's kinda like flying thermal gliders, slow and easy, espially if your in a tight turn and going up. Since then, a lot has happened. When I wrote this message last week, I was quite frustrated about not being able to get in touch with Barry after numerous attempts on my part. It was my first order from Barry, so I didn't know him too well, and didn't know what to expect. However, now that we've had time to talk things over, I can understand how it all happened. Barry's business is growing fast and, while that may cause problems for some customers as he grows, it is ultimately a good thing for the hobby! I have since placed a much larger order with Barry and have been extremely pleased with his service. True, I was upset last week when I wrote the post below, but when a guy steps up, fixes the problem and takes steps to improve his service, he deserves our business. Barry is a stand up guy and you can do business with him with confidence. [RCSE] Re: Barry Kennedy Vrs Others..a personal experience
I can sympathize with some of the stories here. I placed an order with Kennedy Composites on March 1st. At that time, Barry told me that all the items I ordered were in stock. He gave me a total and an hour later, I sent him $245 via PayPal. To date, I have not yet received my order. Starting in the first week in April, I started sending Barry emails to check on my order. Now, I understand that alot of the vendors in this hobby are in the business part time. I understand that Barry had the Toledo show in the first week in April. I don't have a problem with that. I don't have a problem with delayed orders in general. But seriously, is it too much to ask to take 60 seconds to reply to a customer's email? I expect that when I have given someone my hard-earned money, that they at least do me the courtesy of returning my phone calls and emails. Even a one line email saying Hi, sorry your order has been delayed due to whatever would be satisfactory. But to completely ignore all my communications is UNACCEPTABLE. I wonder how Charlie Britt rates not one, but several phone calls from Barry. Gee, guess I'm not on the right list or something... Re: [RCSE] Re: Barry Kennedy Vrs Others..a personal experience
Well, I ordered an Organic from Barry almost a month ago but I knew it wasn't in stock. He then received them from Vladimir but some fuses had a problem which he offered to ship me anyway so I could fix and fly until a new one could be shipped without charges. I could then keep both fuses. Barry later figured out the mini Graphite fuse is basically the same as the Organic with the exception of the rear wing bolt. For my trouble to drill a new hole in the fuse, which is a 2 minute job he sent me also lots of free goodies, which certainly put him in a loss for this sale. So I must say the shipment wasn't as fast as I wanted but Barry went well beyond his duties to get my little toy plane the way I wanted. By the way he also got the color I wanted what I would say is surprising for a plane that was in the unobtanium list no long ago.
