Ive seen decent UPnP stacks on cheap players and outrageously expensive devices with very crappy stacks - it does not correlate well. The problem of UPnP is that the standard is not great although its acceptable but what kills it is the lack of proper interoperability and validation tests. So you end up with crappy SW created by monkeys (and there a lot of these in sw, they are just randomly typing on keyboards hoping for something to happen). The extra difficulty is that the bridge is a bridge so I dont control either end. When you just build a control point, you can fix a few parameters, that make things much easier (like decide you only send pcm/wav). But for example, some stack cant understand that what they are being served is not a file, which cannot be accessed randomly. Usually Im trying to help as many people as I can to make their device work but sometimes its just impossible without making a custom version which I cant do. Ive added a great deal of flexibility, parameters and operational modes in this bridge which unfortunately explain why you have so many parameters but sometimes its just not enough. Thanks to all for your replies... sounds encouraging. Probably the best step would be to spend a little $$ on a low end device and play around with the plugin before pulling the trigger on a unit. Will see if there are any dealers in Kiwi Land for the unit but probably wont be. Might see if there are any Naim products that look attractive as there are Naim dealers here. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Qobuz Streaming Service and PiCore Player
I have signed up for a trial Qobuz account. I cannot see it on my LMS music system. I can access my account and play with it on my laptop but not through my stereo system, which consists of: Raspberry Pi PiCore Player And for a remote I am using my remote from my old Squeezebox Duet. I searched through the Forums and read this https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?97146-Qobuz-com-streaming-plugin=qobuz I believe I followed the instructions but no success. On my laptop I went into my Logitech Media Server settings > Plugins and clicked on the Qobuz box. Then entered in the Advanced Tab > Settings my Qobuz account name and password and selected a few options. I restarted my computer. I restarted my piCore Player via my Duet remote. When I switched the piCore Player I am not seeing a Qobuz in my list of applications on my remote. I attached a couple screenshots that might be relevant. One shows the Qobuz listed on the Online Music Library Integration tab. The other shows that "Your player was not found." I am currently using streaming successfully on my system (Pandora and various online radio stations). How can I get Qobuz to show up?
