[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bug or Raspberry Pi to slow?

2022-02-27 Thread Hellsblade

Hi,

My log is flooded with this error;

Code:

[22-02-28 06:31:26.8521] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (455) Request
failed with error: Bad dispatch!
  [22-02-28 07:03:52.6328] Slim::Control::Request::execute (1888) Error: While
trying to run function coderef
[Plugins::MusicArtistInfo::ArtistInfo::getBiographyCLI]: [Not an ARRAY
reference at
/config/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/MusicArtistInfo/ArtistInfo.pm line 229.]

I removed the music and artist info plugin and put it back in and did a
clear db and rescan.

I like the biography part of LMS, especially in the material interface.
I think it's coming from the all music website. Even old dutch artists
are found :o .
Or is maybe an old plugin interfering or can it be my adblocker (pihole)
is blocking (it does when i go the website).

Below the LMS i'm using on docker I tried the latest and stable
releases;

2022-02-27 Thread darwinesque

Happy to try it in a little bit. I'm still on an aging Mac mini running
10.15, but Apple's rumored to release an update to the mini at a March 8
event. Planning on upgrading as soon as an M1 Pro/Max variant is
available.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Any macOS 11/12 user out there?

2022-02-27 Thread MrC

MrC wrote:

Playing all day today on the M1, no issues during playback, selection,
normal usage.

I only ran into two issues, I don't believe having anything to do with
this experimental LMS:

1. The install and initial scan started fine. But I noticed that the
Pre-caching Artwork stage was stuck (or taking way too long; LMS was
trying to scan all of my media)

37368

I stopped the scan (by stopping the server, the re-scan buttons didn't
help), started the server, and then went to configure my audio paths.
Doing a clear and full rescan would immediately return, doing nothing.
I quickly realized this was an issue with Full Disk access not being
allowed for bash/sh. Once I allowed those, the scan completed quickly.
Unless I'm mistaken, it appears the post-install, initial scan is owned
by a process that was given full disk access (e.g. Installer, which
invoked the Allow privacy pop-up), so it could succeed. But once I'd
stopped LMS, and the installer was done, subsequent re-scans no longer
had access to the files (which happen to be on my other Mac, so network
volume access). This was the first time LMS has been installed on this
Macbook.

2. Some jpeg, perhaps one that caused the issue above, resulted in this
error from Image::Scale:

37369

I wonder which file has this issue?

Anything in particular you want me to focus on?

Qobuz also displays track time IF the album or playlist is in your Qobuz
library and you have Online Music Library Integration switched on and
you have selected it via Albums or Playlist etc rather than via Qobuz
menu item

Is there a setting to show each track length on the left menu when going

To somewhat answer my own question. It's in fact easy to force a time
sync in Windows via the option in Settings. But I've
discovered that Win only syncs time of its own volition once very seven

1) can't access local library from player. player says to install LMS

2) can access and play local library on same player from the web

3) volume can't be controlled from web interface but other controls can

This happened after I changed Firewall settings, but was working for at

Hi and thanks for replying. Various comes in the artist section under V.

It seems to be working now, so I will never ever change it again.
All I have to do now is making the "IgnoreFiles"-Plugin work.

I'll reboot anyway and see if it helps - it's true that I don't so often
reboot the laptop that LMS sits on when I'm in Paris ...

Anyone know of a non-reboot way to force local system time to be
"perfect"?

But thanks for all the work on this, Stuart!

Actually, I might have changed my mind on this! It may be a particular
problem on the 9600 non UK streams that means that the calculation is
slightly wrong. This may be a bug.

I've got to the bottom of your problem. Its the time on your server is
5 seconds or so behind. This is causing the BBC Sounds plugin to think
that it is ahead of the live radio time and waiting a number of seconds
before starting to stream to make sure the audio is available.
It resets doing this at the start of the next programme, that is why you
are hearing the pause at the end of each programme. You are probable
finding that when you start live radio its taking a while to get going,
this will be for the same reason.

Your server time is probably drifting while you have it on, is it worth
scheduling a regular weekly reboot or something to get it o resync its
time?
Or is there something you can do on the server to make sure the time is
not drifting?

Looking at the log, when the programme starts, the plugin thinks
current live radio time where audio is available now is 19:30:00. But
your server time is 19:29:57 (GMT) so the plugin thinks it needs to wait
3 seconds before the audio is available so that is why you hear the
pause.

For now, I think if you reboot your server it should sort itself out.
In the mean time I'll have a think whether there is something I can
change in the plugin to make it more tolerant of time drift.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] QLogitechMediaServer for Qnap with QTS 4.2 or higher and x86_64/I686/X86 support !

2022-02-27 Thread Hayrickshaw

Hi
I have QLMS running in a holiday home. Sometime between Sept 21 and now
it has stopped working; it plays for around 1 minute and then the player
(Logitech wireless codec) crashes. Is there a known issue with recent
QTS updates, perhaps the disabling of the admin account, that might be
causing this? I get the same problem using a speaker via Chromecast
bridge so I don't think this is a player problem.
I am running QLMS 2.25.01 on a TS251, 8Gb memory, QTS 5.0.0.1932 build
20220129. Are there logfiles that I should check?
I have been an LMS user for many years. Thank you to the community for
all your work.
Best wishes
Rick

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Is it time to get rid of the Video & Photos scanner?

2022-02-27 Thread HeadBanger

A poll associated with this post was created, to vote and see the
results, please visit http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116014

Question: Can we remove Video/Photo scanner support?

- Yes, I never use this feature.
- NO! I use LMS to stream videos and photos to my TV and/or other
  streaming clients.
- What's the media scanner? Should I try it?
- I don't care.

I vote remove it and rename to Logitech Music Server 😀
