Thanks

Try creating a new profile(Tools==>Switch profile) and test whether the site

Great suggestion as it works! Now I'll have to compare the new profile with my
original one to find out why it makes a difference.

Flash Problems

2013-11-08 Thread Sam Cook

Well, Flash no longer crashes, it just doesn't work.
I checked out a site with Flash (oskaloosa.com) using Chrome and it worked
perfectly.
With SeaMonkey, it appears to partially load the app, then freezes.
Partial picture, no sound.
I actually had to do a 3-finger salute (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to kill it.

Why should we fiddle, fiddle and again fiddle for each bug of SM, my

I've been trying to determine why having a new profile permits maps to be drawn
on the www.detroitgasprices.com site. The only thing that seems relevant is that
my old profile prevents Java Platform SE 7 U25 10.25.2.17 from running

is "always active."

Now this may not cause the change in drawing the maps but can anyone tell me why
this Java plugin is accepted by the new profile and not the old? I have scripts

On the news.mozilla.org news server, I subscribed to mozilla.test but
not to mozilla.test.multimedia. I cross-posted a message to both. My
message appeared in mozilla.test. Then, I subscribed to
mozilla.test.multimedia. My message was there, too.

NO, you do not have to subscribe to a newsgroup to post to it.

HOWEVER, some news servers reject any messages that are cross-posted.
This might apply only to messages from subscribers to such a server --
mnessages originating with that server -- and not to messages
originating elsewhere and being propagated between servers.

Only way to fix old profile is to disable all plugins and
extensions/addons and enable them one by one and also go through entire
set of preferences in Edit==>preferences.

It is tedious if you have lot of plugins and extensions/addons.

I had to fix my profile when i moved from 2.21==>2.22 as addon
compatibility addon which i had stopped behaving well.
