running and also with the results.

Obviously, there is no such Web site as
<http://www.speedtest.xfinity.com>; but there is a Web site
<http://speedtest.xfinity.com>.

I do not like <http://speedtest.xfinity.com> because it does not allow
the user to select the remote (or not so remote) location against which
the test is run. It does not even let me know where that remote site
is. On the other hand, <http://speedtest.net/> allows me to choose
remote locations where Web sites that I frequently visit are hosted.

DB, is the "Special Account" in a similar location to your other mail
account or is it somewhere totally different??

The reason I ask is that, some time ago, I received an e-mail with a
Virus attached. When my Anti-Virus scanned the file with all my e-mails
(and their attachments), it found the virus and moved my entire
e-mail file into its "secure" location which, of course, meant I
couldn't get to my other e-mails.

What I had to do was to go into my anti-virus program, to its "secure"
location (I think AVG calls it their "Vault"), get the e-mail file
returned to its correct location, and then, in SeaMonkey, empty trash
(File->Empty Trash) and compact my e-mail account (File-> Compact
Folders) to get rid of the Virus . and then re-scan my entire
computer to ensure the Virus was gone.

If you have re-started SeaMonkey after the Inbox has been removed,
SeaMonkey will have created a new, empty, inbox, etc., so before you
move the old Inbox back to its original location, make sure you re-name
the new files to something different so you don't copy the old files
over the new files and lose your new e-mails.

Hope this helps!

Ironic and idiotic.

another example of silliness. What did it save? One line of code? What problem

pissed off users so there you go! Nice one.

And another thought. Just install the PrefBar addon and presto - with one click
on the "InfoList" icon you'll have the whole list including version #, i.e:

And on a second thought, what's all the fuss about anyway? Who cares what
version an add-on is if it works. If it's not up to date SM checks on startup
and lets you know. Even installs the update if there is one. If you try to
load one that doesn't work with SM modify it. If you don't know how use the
webpage that will convert it for you. These two options have been explained
many times in previous topics.

Right on! And, as I posted earlier, if you want the version all you
need do is click on "More" following the extension or plugin listing.

By design, I'm afraid.

Thanks Neil. I found the bug report:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1161183
Extension/plugin name is truncated in new add-ons manager theme
(they sure fixed the truncation issue... didn't they?)

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1161183#c44
"We are optimizing for the majority of users, and most users do not need
to know the version number as they are on auto-update and will always
have the newest version. Questions like "Which add-ons do I have?",
"Which add-ons are active?" and "What do these add-ons do?" are probably
more frequent questions, than which version number is an add-on, or is
it a beta version."

So they (again) decided what we need to know and we do not have any
alternative options. Would themes be able to change that back to the
older format?

Clicking on "More" next to each Add On gives the version and other
pertinent information.

I do it all the time. I read a message, hit Del, read a message, hit
Del, etc. Sometimes I keep them, sometimes I reply, but a lot of times
I don't know I'm going to delete a message until I've read it.

Sometimes I can see from the author/subject that it's not worth reading,
but most of those are already in the Junk folder.

It would be annoying if I had to wait a few extra seconds after every

I also use the Read and Delete method regularly and have no delay
