Hello all - over the last few days I have received a 500 Internal
Server
Error Code error when trying to access my web mail and DHS website.

Also for my web mail I get the pop up box indicating that the site is
untrusted.

A few possibilities:

1. The genuine server at the other end is broken. They probably know
about it by now
(after many complaints), and have fixed it.

2. A domain has expired and you're getting bounced off to a different
server (usually
full of adverts) which is giving the 500 error.

3. Your network has been hijacked and you're being bounced to a fake
server.

A possible solution is to log in to your hosting provider's home page
DIRECTLY and check
your settings for things like DNS. Another option is to post the
exact URL for the
website where you make the initial request - someone here will be
able to tell you if
the DNS is messed up.

GH - thank you for your input. The website address is:
https://webmail.atlcon.net/

In chatting with support, they indicated that they have no issues
accessing the website at
all on their end.

So, in light of the exception I granted due to not being a trusted
site, I believe, I
would have thought that this was addressed and was I incorrect on that
point...

Thank you again,

bo1953

My experience is that ISP's always deny any problems on their end.
Then several days and many complaints later the problem mysteriously
vanishes.

Thank you all for your input.

My ISP provided an alternative login site.

They must be working on it, now.

PBG - thank you for your response. The 500 Internal Server Error
notice does not indicate does not say to contact them. Although the
security exception does indicate that they should be contacted all
the while permitting me to make the exception.

Once the exception is made, the 500 ISE still shows up.

Yes, I get the message "This Connection Is Untrusted" as well, because
they have a bad certificate: "webmail.atlcon.net uses an invalid
security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following
names: *.nocdirect.com, nocdirect.com" (details available under
"Technical Details" of the message).

If I grant a one-time exception, I get the same 500 Internal Server
Error message that you see.

I still say it's their problem, not yours.

2017-05-18 Thread Frank-Rainer Grahl

They have a problem with certificates for sure:

webmail.atlcon.net uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
  *.nocdirect.com, nocdirect.com

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

Firefox also complains. The https site is broken.

This is not your problem, and you can't fix it. "Internal server
error" refers to the web site's server -- there's a problem at their
end. You should contact the site administrator. The error message
usually says that.
