No, I figured it out. The form in the main page is broken, sure,
but when you get that list of utilities, click on the "email
dossier" utility. That will give you a real working form.

Or better yet, go directly to this page:

Try just a little harder. On that page, click on the email dossier
link:

Yeah, I found that page when you posted it earlier, and as I said in my
thank-you note, it works fine.

But it's poor website design to offer an input window saying "enter an
email address here and we'll test it" and then return a list of links,
one of which is the real tester, instead of the test results.

Well, if your mail client is getting far enough to get that error, then
it's talking to the target SMTP server, and that server is reporting
the error.

I would guess the problem is at that end - not with your e-mail client.

Their logs would show these problems, if you were able to get that far
into their technical organization - they could determine from those logs
what was going wrong.

Email trouble with v2.0.3 - maybe

2010-02-20 Thread robert . gault
I've been having a problem sending email to a verizon.net address known to be
good. This morning, 5 to 10 attempts produced a popup message saying the
addressee was not a customer and to check the address.
I tried rebooting the computer and initiated dial-up several times to no effect.
The last test I made was sending email to another address which was successful.
Immediately after that I was able to send email to the problem address.
