I don't think X-No-archive is the issue. I don't think a single Usenet
provider honors that.

Believe it or not this is the most probable cause as I'm observing
the same behavior with messages (even the complete thread following
including my replies to it) from this group sent by Felix Miata,
which also appear to send using "X-No-Archive: yes". I don't
understand why you're sending it anyway.

I've had it set on my Usenet client for 15+ years. Why change it now?
Been working fine with it enabled all these years.

For quite some time I've been wondering why so few of the messages I send
here seem to generate any acknowledgment of existence, much less an actual
thread reply. I generally use the newsgroup interface very little, mostly
only for quickest archive access. Most of my posts don't seem to show up when
I use SM mailnews to access news.mozilla.org, but they are reliably reflected
back to me when I send using the email interface. My messages are not leaving
here with X-No-archive anywhere within them, nor is X-No-archive contained in
messages I get back from the listserv.

If I try to respond to any message using the newsgroups interface, and also
include any To: or CC:, then I typically get a message send rejected modal
popup, but testing that just a moment ago using the most recent David E. Ross
message shown in the newsgroups interface to try to acquire the exact message
produced no such error.

Anyway please, remove this "X-No-Archive: yes" or put
"X-No-Archive: no" !!!

http://www.loganact.com/agent/agentfaq.html#3-3-3

[3-3-3] How can I add an "X-No-Archive: Yes" header?

In Free Agent this is not built in. (see [3-3-5]
)

For Agent users, this header may be toggled on using...

Group | Default Properties | Post
(see [3-10-5] )

I've never understood why people bother to set it in the first place. It
seems to run counter to the 'spirit of conversation' that is Usenet. If
bits of a thread go missing then it is less like a conversation and more
like just overhearing one side of a phone call. Not the most effective
form of communication...

Hmm.

Could the fact that you have no email address set up (real or
fake) be the problem?

Probably not.
He has been using .@. as an address since at least April 2012.
He has posted at least 61 times this year with that address.

His post beginning this thread is only retrievable post since
AFTER APRIL 22.

He had made a post on April 30 titled "Re: updating to 2.40".
After reading it I had set it as unread an Flagged it [my
personal way of temporarily marking it as 'of interest']. When I
attempt to retrieve it today I get:

Error!
newsgroup server responded:no such article in group

Perhaps the article has expired

 (99020)

Click here to remove all expired articles

He may not be only person experiencing a similar problem.
Within last day or two I had gotten a similar response when
attempting to read another message. *WITHOUT* thinking about it
I clicked "... remove all expired articles".

How to raise this anomaly with appropriate parties?
