Well, I am seriously cutting down the time I'm working on SeaMonkey and
trying to cut down on work time in general, so it will take me some time
if I need to look into it.

Fair enough. We have a bug for it now, which is also the minimum
requirement we're heading for for things that need in-product
documentation (Help). I could do the change in CVS, but since you seem
to want to see a patch somewhere and I cannot push the change anyway due
to the template issues I encountered, I'll just leave it this way. SM
2.1 is still a bit ahead, no need to address this ASAP.

I don't require a patch if you do it, I just mentioned it because
someone attaching it would speed up me doing it. If you delete that part
and push it, that's OK by me!

(oh, and no need to build templates if all you do is simple HTML editing)

Yes. The same process as for code I maintain, the same process as used
everywhere in Mozilla. We even file bugs for build machines that need
changes applied.

Filing a bug report for something like this (IMO) simply causes

According to the latest download of Seamonkey 2.1b2pre there is a
process to report broken web sites as described in the following
paragraph:

SeaMonkey comes with a new tool for reporting broken web sites
(available through the Custom Install option). From the 'Help' menu,
select 'Report Broken Web Site' and provide as much information as
you can about the issue that you are encountering.

Ah, that's on this page:

I did a custom install but did not see anywhere that I could load
that option. When I click on the Help menu, I don't see 'Report
Broken Web Site'. Is this in the future? Sounds like a terrific
idea.

Actually it's in SM 2.0 but has been removed for SM 2.1 because the
reports basically went nowhere (no-one picked them up). Bug:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=590102

SM 2.1 website compatibility should be better in general, though, since
it now advertises itself as Firefox in addition to SeaMonkey.

Personally, I can't see any advantage to a browser utility that sends
some kind of error message to a web site. There are so many broken
sites out there that (if this reporting thingy became popular)
webmasters would start directing all such messages to dev/null. I can
envision users-without-clue sending hundreds/thousands of these reports
and possibly causing the site authors to ban access by those browsers.

fine as any IE version... but then it is a Microsloth site. I had no
