Re: Bug verification - SM 2.0 mail composer quotation text space compression

Bugzilla fluent members who can verify and report this SM 2.0 bug would be appreciated. Thanks. In what mode? News? Mail? HTML or plain text, fixed width font? I don't see this looking quickly, but details are needed, since all of those things might change the result. -- Bill Davidsen "We have more to fear from the bungling of the incompetent than from the machinations of the wicked." - from Slashdot ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Have seen it many times on a line where there is a string of multiple spaces which then gets converted to just ONE space in the quoted text. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Replying to this posting i selected this line and used Rewrap. The multiple spaces were concentrated to one single space. SM 2.1, current trunk. This form is dangerous. Each time one clicks on a link like this a new newsserver with the name 'news' appears in the prefs.js. Some people had have a lot of them. :) Hm, just want to rewrap the next lines, but the option is grayed out in my SM 2.1. This time, not normally. Because i am too lazy do correct the lines manually, there will be no rewrap. >Telnet is my friend, as is >the NNTP protocol hand typed. Viewing that article could be hard for people >with >just SM. Well, there is http://messageidfinder.mozdev.org/. Not compatible with SM2 but one of the two add-ons i simply refuse to miss. Therefore i have hacked it.
