[symfony-users] [Sf2] Proxies not autoloaded
Hi, With auto_generate_proxy_classes set to true, everything works, but if I set it to false, the Proxy classes cannot be found. I ran doctrine:generate:proxies, which outputs Proxy classes generated to ~/app_name/cache/dev/doctrine/orm/ Proxies $ ls ~/app_name/cache/dev/doctrine/orm/Proxies ApplicationUserBundleEntityUserProxy.php PHP Output : Fatal error: Class 'Proxies\ApplicationUserBundleEntityUtiliserProxy' not found in ~/src/vendor/doctrine/lib/Doctrine/ORM/Proxy/ProxyFactory.php on line 92 What should I do ? [symfony-users] sfBreadNav2Plugin when using PostgreSQL
Hi all! i am new to Symfony, I started on a project and selected propel for ORM, and sfBreadNav2Plugin for menus, database is implemented on PostgreSQL. [symfony-users] Wrong date and currency format for locale
Hi, i live in Argentina and speak spanish, so my default culture is es_AR. Ive setted the default culture in apps/frontend/config/settings.yml When I print todays date using the format_date helper it prints 12/25/10, which is mm/dd/yy. Normaly in Argentina the dates are displayed as dd/mm/ such as 25/12/2010. Also when using the format_currency like echo Tengo . format_currency(500) i expect this output: Tengo $500, but i got: Tengo 500. I couldnt find a way to change the date formating or the currency formating for my locale. Is this a bug or im missing something. I am working on a board-type app, using a database model that
implements Doctrine's Nested Set behaviour. A hierarchical model where
Categories have Sub-categories that in turn have Ads.
I am fetching my data with only one query by using the documented
method Doctrine_Tree_NestedSet::fetchTree(), as so:

result?
The class sfDoctrinePager expects a query, which I cannot provide
given that I had to pass a query in the first place to be able to use
the Doctrine_Tree_NestedSet::fetchTree() method.
Ideas, anyone?

[symfony-users] admin-generator, dynamic forms
Hi,
Im trying to make some research, and trying to figure out if there is
any way i can make some dynamic forms with the doctrine:generate-admin
task..
I mean, i have this schema:
Calendar:
columns:
type: { type: string, values: [daily, weekly] }
weekday: { type: string }
repeat_value: { type: string }
And when i print my form, i get a select form field for my type...
what i would like is:
when i select daily, i can see the weekday form, and when i select
weekly, i get the repeat_value form..
It this any possible with the admin-generator any way, or do i have to
customize a module if i would like to get this functionality?
Hope that someone will give me some feedback, just trying to keep
everything as simple as possible.. but i cannot really see how symfony
can help me with this task?

I am new to the framework and I have been going through the jobeet tutorial. I am in day 8 of the tutorial working through the unit testing chapter related to testing slugify part. [symfony-users] NestedSet admin generator
I have been struggling to generate a form which has fields to use the NestedSet behavior. I have my yaml schema defined like so Geography: actAs: NestedSet: Sluggable: unique: true name: friendly_url fields: [title,id] canUpdate: false columns: title: string(255) description: string(255) meta_title: string(255) meta_description: string(255) When running ./symphone doctrine:generate-admin backend geography the resulting fields just have text entry values for the level, lft, and rgt, fields. I have searched quite a bit for information, but the only tutorials I could find reference adding a widget called sfWidgetFormDoctrineChoiceNestedSet which doesn't appear to exist anymore. Has this functionality been removed? I am wanting to run a daily import script for my symfony site, what I want is to setup a cron job in Cpanel and just have it run a script on my server. I am running into a problem with setting this script up, I can't get it to actually run any code. This was pretty much the only thing I could find on the topic: http://www.lampjunkie.com/2008/04/how-to-use-symfony-and-cron/ and it appears to be kinda old and not working for me at all, tried to modify its a little and still no luck. What are people using to get symfony fired up and running and then run either a specific module/ action or just straight code? Any helps is great. I found that title is being obtained from the layout.php which is being applied to all pages taking it from there. I got the same question a few seconds ago and got it through
now. The parameters are still there. Since the method used is POST and
you have to use $request-getPostParameter('YOUR PARAM') to get the
value. However, you have to go back to the form in your browser and
get the new parameter name since symfony changed them.

[symfony-users] Multiple Choice Validator invalid with AJAX
Dear Symfony Users, I have a odd problem with the sfValidatorChoice and AJAX and need your support. The validator (with 'multiple' = true) works fine when I test my form via a normal submit (using the input-submit button), but returns invalid when I test it with multiple selected values online with AJAX (ajax request is sent to a route which returns only the html- form without the layout which replaces the form on the page) - although the input is actually valid. This is my form configuration: // The options for the select box $catalog_article_group_options = array( 'frames' = 'Frames', 'sunglasses' = 'Sunglasses' ); $this-widgetSchema['catalog_products'] = new sfWidgetFormChoice( array( 'choices' = $catalog_article_group_options, 'multiple' = true ) ); $this-validatorSchema['catalog_products'] = new sfValidatorChoice( array( 'multiple' = true, 'min' = 1, 'max' = 6, 'choices' = array_keys($catalog_article_group_options) ), array( 'required' = 'Please select at least one article group.', 'min' = 'Pease select at least one article group.' )); The setup is clear: The user should select at least one article group form a Select-Element, but can select more if he or her wants to. Testing this form via normal submit in my development environment shows correct behaivor. If one or more values are selected, the input is valid. When I use the form via AJAX the behaivor is different: When I select no value I receive the min validation message, which is correct. Same with one value selected, which returns valid. So far, so good. Now it comes to the error: When selecting more then one value and validate this request this returns a validation message invalid. When I compare the POST- requests of the normal form-submit and the ajax request they are the same ( decoded it says ...lead[catalog_article_group] []=frameslead[catalog_article_group][]=sunglasses...), even the content-type is identical (application/x-www-form-urlencoded). So the request looks fine to me but symfony behaves differently. How come? Has anybody experienced a similar error? Might the reason lie in AJAX (although the request seems to be the same)? [symfony-users] Symfony 2/Twig and page specific javascripts or stylesheets
Hi,
I'm playing with Symfony 2 and Twig and i have a question about
javascript and stylesheet tags.
It seems impossible to set any page specific stylesheet or javascript
because in the template inheritance the parent is rendered before the
children.
Because of that we are not able to do something like :
layout.twig :
head
title/title
{% javascript 'js/myscript.js' %}
{% javascripts %}
/head
index.twig :
{% javascript 'js/index.js' %}
{% extends SiteBundle::layout.twig %}
It really limits the interest of javascript and stylesheet tags, or
maybe there is another way to do that ?

Hi, I managed to get symfony to work on free hosting (freehostia.com - no advertising intended). Basically, the root of the ftp was like this : /public_html And the executed code was in the public_html folder. This meant I could but all the content of the web folder in public_html, and the content of the other folders next to the public_html folder. All that was left to do was configure symfony to use the public_html folder instead of a web folder. [symfony-users] Bug in doctrine:mapping:import Symfony 2 CLI command?
Hello, I tried importing mapping information from a database containing 15 tables, all tables had primary keys except for one which was causing the following exception: -- [Doctrine\DBAL\Schema\SchemaException] Index '' does not exist on table 'setting'. -- The table 'setting' DID NOT have a primary key. Although it'd UNIQUE and other indexes. The import went fine when I converted the unique index to primary key. Is this a bug? [symfony-users] Symfony ORM - Bi-Directional ManyToOne
Not sure if I should have posted this in the Doctrine group but it does relate to Symfony2 code. I'm trying to create a bi-directional ManyToOne and OneToMany relationship between Trackers and Tickets. * A Ticket belongs to a Tracker * A Tracker can have many Tickets Should be pretty straight forward but I can't get the tracker_id to be anything other than null in the DB. I use Symfony 1.4
I want to configure a select double list using
sfWidgetFormSelectDoubleList.
My question:
- How can a configure the ASSOCIATED items?
To the widget's constructor I give the possible options via
'choices' option, ok. But what about the selected defaults?
I figured out that the FormField's '$value' property holds
the array of associated items, but where can I set this?
I really don't wan't to make field's $value public and set
this in my input template... ;-)
Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
