Good afternoon list

Prior to W-e 9.1 and iTunes 12.1 I could very easily add by pasting a

W-E tech support suggested some articles that explain how to do this
with iTunes 11 so probably not with W-E 9.1 since they wer done before
9.1 came out.

I want to copy songs from my my music folder and paste them into a
playlist in iTunes 12.1 but can't get to a place where you can paste.

Anyone else having this problem or know how to do this???

What has this to do with window-eyes? I think that is what this list

It's not quite enough to belong to a local library. Your local library had

Mine subscribes to overdrive, but not oneclick digital. I wish there was a
way I could get a one click digital membership because the borrowing
restrictions with one click digital are better than with those libraries
that subscribe to overdrive.

Hi,
The best place to get book and lessan to is one click digital dot come for
free..You need a membership to a local library in your town. Then go to
oneclickdigitall.com and register. You can go to the website check the book
with your PC and lessan to it on your Iphone, Ipat etc. It is the best and
they have over 10k audio book that you can check out. One more thing, you
need to download the oneclick app in to your smart device.
Good luck.

Hello Butch,

I would not mix Talking Book files with MP3 files on the same
Cartridge. Instead, just use a normal Flash Drive, load it up with
your MP3 files, either in a folder, or not, doesn't seem to
matter. Plug in the Flash Drive into the NLS player. Remove any NLS
Cart rage, because if one is in the machine, it will take priority,
and the NLS machine will not see the Flash Drive.

With the Cartrige removed, turn on the NLS player, and you machine
should recognize the Flash drive and its contents.

I usually listen to lessons of various types, and so put files on the
same topic in a folder of their own.

You can have as many folders as you wish on the Flash drive.

To move through the folders, the NLS player has that short Bar Button
up at the top end that selcts to go to the next file, folder, or part.
If you've selected Folder, pushing the left or Right Buttons will
move you forward in the line of folders on the drive, or backwards.

The NLS machine does not tell you the name of the folder. This would
be nice, but the NLS player is not made as an all purpose
player. So you can move to the next folder, and start to play the
first file in that folder. Doing this will give you enough info to
know what folder you are reading files from.

With my machine, I think I listen to more MP3 files than I do Talking Books.

I am looking for beginner Programing Books in MP3 format, if any of
you happen to know of any, or and direct me where I might find some.

I am looking for books teaching Python, or C Sharp, or Visual
Basic, to write Apps for Window eyes, and other things.

I know a little about programming, but not enough. Am hoping to add
to my knowledge.

As for your second question. In the Window-Eyes settings tree view in the

Yes they will, if there is nothing else on the drive or cartridge. You only
have to use the folder if you intend to mix them with NLS books. Pam.

I was just going to say the same thing. On my digital player, MP3 files
on a USB flash drive or cartrige, have to be placed in a special folder
called audio+podcasts. They will not be recognized any other way.

Almost every time I use this system, some time during the usage, I
loose Speech.this happens mostly when I am using I.E. 11 and

However, the system can loose speech, or Lock up and any time, it

I have considered upgrading to Win Eyes 9.1, but am still going to

I have done everything I can think of to make this system as clean as

I thought I would download and use one of those programs that update

There are several of these kinds of programs, and some are probably

Have any of you used one of these programs, and was it read well by

If you had good results, and was not over whelmed with Pop Ups and
other odd things happening after using such a program, can any of you
recommend what worked for you?

Thanks,

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately, nothing has changed in regard to accessing the message
content of my Outlook 2007 email.

I have noticed one thing which strikes me as rather strange. As I am
reviewing message content with the mouse keys, it is quite clear that what
represents the content of several different emails. Today, I clearly
noticed that while reviewing one specific email, I found fragments of at
least 2 previous emails. One I had just read, and another had content from
another I replied to.

Strange, although I doubt that it sheds much light on my problem.

Have a great day.

2015-04-18 Thread via Talk
I have done this successfully, but its definitely tricky. You want to
hit the link which says reply, from there, what I have done is to pass
over the options like bold, etc. and turn off bm and eventually after
doing that I tab into rich edit box where I can type -- its the last
thing in that list. Its a mess, but doable is all I can say.

Subject: Problem with Firefox.

I have a problem with Firefox Firefox not responding. I get so far in a
particular page and it hangs up.,

For example, I was trying to set up
Firefox so that it would read with the mouse keys. I attempted to star
the first part of the task then it hung up.

I have upgraded to the latest and I have recently upgraded to Window
Eyes 9.1.
Am I missing something?

My next move is to restore the Windows 7 machine. I really don't want
to do that, but anything that you folks can think of would be appreciated.

RE: Accessible Driver Updater?

2015-04-18 Thread Rod Hutton via Talk
Hi James,

Complete failure of both drives.
It started with the primary drive starting to get errors, and Windows
prompted me to backup the drive since clearly it was failing.
So I backup that drive, and then the same thing happened to the secondary
drive, a totally separate drive in the other drive bay.
Had to start from scratch with brand new drives.
What a nightmare.
I figure the Driver Detective simply installed the wrong drivers for both
drives and this unbalanced the msomehow, causing them to fail.
Never again. Smile

All the best,

Rod

Hi Dave,

I lost two hard drives on the same PC using one of those utilities.
It was called Driver Detective, and this goes back probably seven or eight
years ago.
For this reason, I don't recommend these utilities at all.

Rod

Hello to the List,

I have a Win 7 64 bit system, running Win eyes 8.4.

Almost every time I use this system, some time during the usage, I
loose Speech.this happens mostly when I am using I.E. 11 and
attempting to read a web site.

However, the system can loose speech, or Lock up and any time, it
doesn't always happen when surfing the web.

I have considered upgrading to Win Eyes 9.1, but am still going to
wait for a 9.2. I don't want to trade fixes for one problem, and get
some new ones.

I have done everything I can think of to make this system as clean as
possible, trying to not have software conflicts.

I thought I would download and use one of those programs that update
all Drivers found on the system.

There are several of these kinds of programs, and some are probably
better than others.

Have any of you used one of these programs, and was it read well by
Window eyes?

If you had good results, and was not over whelmed with Pop Ups and
other odd things happening after using such a program, can any of you
recommend what worked for you?

Thanks,

Dave

Rod,Thanks for your detailed discription of what happened.

I have a friend who just discovered Driver Detective on her system. She is
certain that she never installed that software. Up on my reccomendation,
she deleted it. I hope her system doesn't go down. I'll email her and
suggest that she might want to consider backing up her important files.

Thanksfor the heads up.

you know you can get a not responding message with many programs. then after
about 30 seconds they will start responding again if you wait awhile.
