Akrobat download

2016-02-03 Thread Klaus Vielhauer via Talk
Hello,
I want to download Akrobat or another PDF reader on my new Windows-10 PC.
Some time ago there was a special version on the Windoweyes website – which I
cannot find.
If possible to avoid the complete Adobe suite?

OT question for someone familiar with total recorder

2016-02-03 Thread Butch K via Talk
Hello, when I convert a cassette tape to mp3 in total recorder, I hear what is
being recorded through the computer speakers. Is there a way to set total
recorder to record without playing the content through the computer speakers
while it is recording? I can't find a setting for that anywhere. Thanks.

Hi to all,
WE9.3 went silent while on this video link:

WE9.3 crashed and I sent the error report.
I tried again, and again WE9.3 went silent; however, WE9.3 did not

RE: app update today

2016-02-03 Thread Michael Massey via Talk
Hi. The setup wizard app used to be called the quick start wizard. Since
Zoom Text Fusion's release a couple of months ago, the name of the app was
changed to the Setup Wizard app. The setup wizard is the app that runs when
you install or reinstall Window-eyes. When the app launches, it allows the
user to set the speech rate, your Braille display settings, the choice of
synthesizer, etc. etc. Every time an app is updated, I check the
information about the update modifications on the app central site. Hope
that helps.

navigating the ribbon in contacts view of windows live mail

Trying to export my contacts in wlm. When tabbing across the home ribbon I
find a control that says “list dropdown pulldown”. Prior to reinstalling

however, it doesn’t. I hear nothing when using arrow keys and tab. The same
thing happens on import and any other “list dropdown pulldown control. What’s
wrong and how can I get it to work again?

Re: Akrobat download

2016-02-03 Thread Jonathan Cohn via Talk
You want to look for Adobe Reader either DC or version 11. You should be able
to find it on the www.adobe.com website as a download.

Also, for an FYI, newer versions of office can now read PDF files directly.

Best wishes,

RE: tool tip trouble

2016-02-03 Thread John Farley via Talk
Hello Mike,

On Windows 7 and 8 there is a tool you can get to remove that irritating
item.

Take a look at http://ultimateoutsider.com/downloads/

While I have used this to good effect on my Windows 7 PC it is clearly not
software supported by GW Micro and will be done at your risk.
Having said that, I have had no bad impact from it.

The only thing you then need to remember each time you do a Microsoft update
is that Microsoft will make upgrade to Windows 10 a pre-checked item in the
optional software list which will need to be unchecked each time that you do
not want it.

Regards, John

culprit is the "Get Windows 10" button. I have to remember to hit alt-f4,

your problem. Hope this helps. The Windows 10 button is a problem, but I
