If you are running Windows 10, you will have to pay $49 for the upgrade to work
on Win 10. Contact Window Eyes support with your serial number and they can
help you get the latest version.wesupp...@aisquared.com

not really, as I think I did say, it is already running 9.0, and that is the
  only disk version I have.

I'd be glad to help you. Install version 8.4 and then you can easily
upgrade to 9.5.3.0. Thanks and hope that this helps.

  hello all,
have recently installed window-eyes on a new computer, but am having trouble
  getting the right upgrades.
the 9.5.3 upgrade says that it needs 9.2 or later to upgrade, but the latest
version I had on disk to install was 9.0.
so please could someone give me a link to an upgrade that will work with
9.0, that I could run, and then get the 9.5.3 one, thanks.

well, you can add them, but they come back from time-to-time, but once you
add them, you do not have to click on yes and if you have to add one for
outgoing mail, the mail will not go out till you do. to add them, you do the
following:

1: press alt plus t for tools then p for personalities
2: arrow to the account that is receiving the notice, if only one account,
press alt plus enter on domanant otherwise alt plus enter at the selected
account
3: once there, you are on the outgoing mail properties, shift tab 6 times to
secure socket when sending ssl info button and press enter if incoming mail,
first press ctrl plus tab to move to the incoming mail properties then do
the first part of the step
4: shift tab to certificate manager button and press enter
5: now, press the right arrow till nothing is spoken by the screen reader
6: now, tab 9 times to add certificate button and press the space bar
7: now, find the done button at the bottom of the screen and press the left
mouse button. you're almost done.
8: tab to the ok button and press enter and then tab to the ok button once
more and press enter.

you may have to close all windows with ctrl+w and then open the inbox with

if you only have one account, you can find the incoming and outgoing
catagories with alt+t then o for options and is easier to exit back to the

If anyone has any thoughts on how I can resolve this "fatal initialization

Re: Problem Solved:Window-eyes Not Reading Certain Windows Reliably

2016-11-05 Thread David Goldfield via Talk
Steve,

First, Loy's suggestion below is worth an attempt, as I'd hate to see
anybody going through a reset if doing so can be avoided. In my case,
running the diagnostics Loy describes did not solve the problem for me
but, if it does for you, it's a very quick fix.

With my computer, it was upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I
eventually upgraded it to the anniversary update. The reset option has
the option of keeping personal files, which I chose, but even this
option will erase any programs that you have installed. Therefore, while
a reset will likely solve the problem you're having you will have to
reinstall and, in most cases, reconfigure all of your software. In my
case, the issue I was having with Window-eyes was one of three issues,
all of which were likely unrelated. The other problems I was having is
that my backup would fail at around 4 percent and I'd get an error every
time I would launch System Protection. I found these problems to be
extremely inconvenient. I did call the Microsoft answer desk but all of
the attempts the rep tried to implement did not fix my issues. He was
willing to escalate the problem to a higher tier but I concluded that
performing a reset and reinstalling my software would actually take less
time than having another rep trying more solutions and so a reset is
what I chose. Again, it's something I'd prefer to see you avoid if at
all possible. If you do decide to go ahead with it, be prepared to use
Narrator for part of it.

As to what may have caused all of the problems I was having in the first
place, I'm not sure. However, while I can't prove it I'm thinking it may
have been when I ran the Kaspersky removal tool to remove an old version
but, again, I can't prove it.

2016-11-05 Thread Steve Jacobson via Talk
David,

I have tried the repair without success and have it on good authority that a
reset is necessary. I did not realize that leaving personal files would
still remove apps, though, so I appreciate that explanation. Using Narrator
is not a problem here so I have to just decide if it is worth taking the
plunge. Thanks for the input.

However, while I can't prove it I'm thinking it may
have been when I ran the Kaspersky removal tool to remove an old version
but, again, I can't prove it.

hello all,
have recently installed window-eyes on a new computer, but am having trouble
getting the right upgrades.
the 9.5.3 upgrade says that it needs 9.2 or later to upgrade, but the latest
version I had on disk to install was 9.0.
so please could someone give me a link to an upgrade that will work with
9.0, that I could run, and then get the 9.5.3 one, thanks.

  Simon

forwarding a message with Windows Live Mail without making an attachment

2016-11-05 Thread Kim Lingo via Talk
I think I figured this out accidentally a few days ago, but I must be getting
part-timer’s disease. Anyone know how to do this? Using Windows 7, and a Dell
laptop computer with WE 9.5.3.
Thanks,
Kim Lingo
