Hi, Bob. Sorry, but I forgot the subject of your post regarding upgrading
to Window-eyes 9.2 from Window-eyes 9.0. The readme clearly states that
you

cannot install Window-eyes 9.2 over a version less than 8.x without
contacting Ai Squared. Because you mentioned that you have Window-eyes
9.0,

you can download Window-eyes 9.2 from the website. Go to the help menu by
opening the Window-eyes control panel with control backslash. Press
alt-h.

Use either the up or down arrow keys to navigate to check for updates.
Press enter. A page will come up with various options. Tab to the button
that says visit the website. After that page loads find the download
upgrade button and press enter on it. Follow the instructions and you'll
be

good to go. After Window-eyes 9.2 is installed then Windows 10 will
install. I don't want to upset any of the list members but, it pays to
read

the documentation, particularly in cases of upgrading Window-eyes. I
checked the readme again so I would provide correct information. You
won't

have to buy a cd unless you choose to do so. I buy a cd each time an
upgrade is released for my own peace of mind, smile. A cd costs $20.

Mike M

P.S. If you purchased a fotware maintenance agreement (s m a), the
upgrade

won't count against your s m a. Since you're upgrading from version 9.0,
you might have to pay $49, but don't quote me on that one, please? I
upgraded from version 9.1, and the upgrade was free because I purchased a
s

m a. If I hadn't, I would have had to buy the 9.1 upgrade for $49 If I
provided any incorrect information or if someone can add anything to what
I

have posted, please feel free, grin. .

Marc,

I didn't see the option to purchase an SMA online the other day but noticed in
one of your previous emails that a request could be sent to sales. I sent an
email request and got an automatic reply that my request had been received and
was being reviewed. What does that mean? Will I eventually get something more
from them or would it be better to just call?

Thanks,
Nancy

 Hi Shannon,
You should be able to order an SMA via the online catalog. Here is a link:
 https://www.gwmicro.com/Catalog/Window-Eyes/?moreInfo=9100-022. Look for the
Add To Cart link on this web page. You can also give our orders team a call
if it would be more convenient. The number is 802-362-3612.

A Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) can be purchased in the US for $199
assuming you own Window-Eyes 9.0/9.1. I believe it will cost around $20 more
if you want to get your software on CD. Please refer to the Window-Eyes 9.2

to Thunderbird. You will need to decide for yourself if you need the upgrade
as each person's situation is unique. The Ai Squared telephone number is

Hi okay I have been trying to upgrade to the latest window-eyes.
And I am unable to cause I don't have an MA left to do so.
So first of all how much would it cost me to get an MA again so that I will
be able to get the next set of upgrades?
Also how much once that is done will it cost me to get A CD copy of the
 latest window-eyes?
So did you address any of the issues with Thunderbird in the latest version
 of window-eyes?
So what all fixes or changes will us windows seven users find in this new
 version?
Or are most of the fixes and improvements for windows 10?
So if you have windows seven still do you really need to upgrade to the
latest version of window-eyes or is there some improvements that will be good
for us windows seven users as well?
Also what telephone number and e-mail address do we now use to contact your
company for ordering and technical enquires?

Hope this helps.

RE: upgrading to window-eyes 9.2

2015-07-28 Thread Marc Solomon via Talk
Window-Eyes 9.2 is compatible with Office 2007, 2010, 2013 and the 2016
Preview. With that being said, we don't do a lot of testing with Office 2007
anymore so it is probably best to go with Office 2010 or newer. You can only
have one version of Window-Eyes installed on your computer. So, if you plan to
switch to the free version, you will need to uninstall your retail license
first and vice versa.

Hi okay I have been trying to upgrade to the latest window-eyes.
And I am unable to cause I don't have an MA left to do so.
So first of all how much would it cost me to get an MA again so that
I will be able to get the next set of upgrades?
Also how much once that is done will it cost me to get A CD copy of
the latest window-eyes?
So did you address any of the issues with Thunderbird in the latest
version of window-eyes?
So what all fixes or changes will us windows seven users find in
this new version?
Or are most of the fixes and improvements for windows 10?
So if you have windows seven still do you really need to upgrade to
the latest version of window-eyes or is there some improvements that
will be good for us windows seven users as well?
Also what telephone number and e-mail address do we now use to
contact your company for ordering and technical enquires?
