2004-10-05 Thread Charlene Ferrara
Good evening Mary,

Tuesday, October 5, 2004
you let us know :

However, alt+F1 as referred to in the subject line causes absolutely
 nothing to happen here.
So Gary may be right, both of you have a non-functional shortcut. As you
say. you are rather clicking the mouse than using shortcuts, I assume
you haven't changed a thing in TB's configuration. Has anybody changed
the shortcuts either by incident or accident; you, Gary?

Hi Gary and list,

On Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 14:22:13 GMT -0500 (which was 21:22
where I live) Gary wrote (at least in parts) and made these valuable
points on the subject of alt+F1 (help/about):

When I go to help/about... TB! locks up... strange. I really have to strain
to minimize TB!, and then it will work again, but I never see the about
 section.

Cannot confirm, neither with help menu nor with Alt/F1

The search works the same way as in the main window's message list -
Should it works also in filter list? Then I have something: 3 Filters:

abc (1. Filter - selected)
bcd (2. Filter)
gfh (3. Filter)

If abc is selected, and I typ b in search window, nothing happens.
If I typ bc nothing happens, only if I typ bcd and wait 2 seconds
(too long, I think) it works.

If abc is selectd, and I type g in search windows, nothing happens.
I must type gf to jump to third filter, but g should be enough,
right?

If gfh is selected, I must type abc to get to the first filter, a
should be enough, right?

I have not changed any shortcuts since early 2x.. and they were just for
IMAP commands only.. All has been fine until now. Neither shortcut, nor
mouse click work for me, with mouse click temporarily locking up TB! until
I wrestle to get it minimized and restored.

The Bat! 3.01 RC4 is now available from
 http://www.ritlabs.com/en/tbbeta/

Just had an interesting one.

In another program (zipgenius) with the bat closed. I went to it's menu to
report a bug. It brought up a new message window as I would expect but
after I sent it.

I then went to the bat and brought it up and there was a space where the
splach screen was but it had nothing in it.

I then moves the bat out of the way.

Images sent in PM to 9Val.

btw, any design suggestions are welcome.

Someone reported several icon-bugs in the german board

1. Icon Message Search in main-toolbar (row 1; column 9) uses the icon Search Text
from editor (row 3; column 9)

2. Icon Create a new contact in addressbook (row 2; column 13) uses
the icon from a normal entry (row 4; column 17).

3. Icon Create a new group in addressbook (row 2 column 14) uses the

Can you say some words about these?

Shift-Ctrl-M marks the entire thread read. I just want
to mark a subthread as read.

Not possible today, at least not with standard TB! commands. Would be
a great feature though. I vaguely remember seeing a BT item about
this, but I'm not sure. If there is none, please create one.
