No, if the signature verifies the icon changes to a green tick, if not it
stays as a red cross on both buttons, pgp or SMIME.

IMAP: Encoding when only-text Pt.II

2005-04-08 Thread Manuel Breitfeld
Hi tbbeta,

a week ago (Sat, 2 Apr 2005 11:42:06) I mentioned a problem concerning
encoding and IMAP.
I'm afraid this message has no reply. :(

Is nobody using IMAP? ;)

,- [ mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ] -
| I'm not quite sure, if this hasn't been reported yet. Furthermore, I'm
| not quite sure, if this problem is related to this pre-beta cycle.
|
| So, the problem:
| I've checked the option to just download message text if size is
| bigger than xx kbytes.
| When I receive a big message (bigger than xx kbytes) and TB! should
| only display the message text, TB! ignores the message encoding.
| When encoding is quoted-printable the text is shown with the known
| =20 signs.

Your all making me think there is something terribly wrong with my system.
First, most of you have missing icons on your pgp or security buttons.
Icons that I do have and that display correctly. Now your main toolbar
icons are too small and look terrible.

My main toolbar icons, the ones that came with 3.0.9.13 look as perfect as
the screenshot of your 3.0.2.8 icons. See attached.

Unusual for things to work perfect for me with none of the AV's, missing
icons etc. that are being reported.

I'll do this. It seem's that encoding is just ignored and text is
shown as if its encoding is "plain".

Might be, but the same larger distance is also used for a listing of
QTs (In the editor: utilities -> insert -> insert QT)
and I've got no icons assigned to those and now it's using almost the
full height of my screen in stead of the around two thirds of 3.0.2.10

OK, if you want to put it like that I want to tell you that 3.0.9.13 is
working absolutely perfectly here. All icons are fine, look perfect and
are all where they should be. And as for AV's, I couldn't even tell you
what one looks like as it's been so long (Time scale in years) since I've
 seen one.

So to put it bluntly, it must be your system that's at fault, not The Bat!
Maybe you got a different combination of software on your PC, maybe I have
the right mix of hardware, maybe I use TB! different to you, either way
3.0.9.13 is 100% stable here the way I use it and I'm am 100% happy with
 it.

You just got the hump because you can't get it to work properly and I can.
As for being an idiot, you chose those words not me. All I said was it's
working fine here. It was an attempt to help RIT pinpoint what's wrong, if
it's a hard coded program bug then everyone should experience it, I don't
so they, and you need to look elsewhere.

You and anyone else for that matter are more than welcome to come and sit
here at this PC for a day and see for yourself should you so wish.

Please include a signature delimiter in your messages. This consists
of a , i.e., a '-- ' by itself on a line.
This allows your readers, when replying, to quote your text without
the signature and list footers since everything below and including
the sig delimiter is excluded when quoting.

You can easily automate this process by including the sig delimiter in
your templates.

Even if you barely have a signature to speak of, that doesn't make any
difference to whether or not you need a cut mark. You are being
courteous to other readers since at least three lines of text is added
to your signature by the list server.

How to customize Ctrl+] ?

2005-04-08 Thread Peter Hampf
Hello tbbeta,

does anybody know how to access or to customize Ctrl+] on a machine with
  *german* keyboard layout?

In the folder view I have tried to customize the keys for "next/prev.
  unread". (Container "Message List Popup")

As soon as I enter Ctrl+ü (the "ü" on the german keyboard is "[" on the
english one) and press "assign", TB "translates" it to Ctrl+;. The same
goes for Ctrl++ ("+" is "]" on the english keyboard), which will be
  "translated" to Ctrl+=.

  These keys are NOT working!

If I do the same inside the container "MLV popup", these keys ARE working,
but only in the message list, not in the folder list window.

Any hints to point me in the right direction?

AV closing message in Folder View

2005-04-08 Thread Mary Bull
Hello Everyone!

1) I had 4 messages in View Folder minimized to tray--3 in tbbeta folder
and 1 in the In-box folder. (I was considering whether I would reply
to those I had minimized to the Windows taskbar tray.)

2) I checked something in SmartBat and then closed SmartBat.

3) I went down to the Windows taskbar and left-clicked The Bat!'s bar
(just to the right of Start)

4) Then I right-clicked the mouse with one of the minimized folders selected.
   It closed.

5) Tried for closing the next and got AV "address 0040721D ... read of
address 0004." Clicked OK, got AV "address ... read of
address ," which repeated upon clicking OK and would not
close. I ended up closing TB! with Windows' Task Manager.

Upon relaunch, I cannot reproduce the problem. Just reporting it for
the record.

This is the second instance of unreproduceable AVs I've had while
running the current beta.

Aside from the ones I confirmed for Boris Anders in customise Toolbar,
I've not encountered any reproduceable AVs.

V. .13 is very stable otherwise and pretty satisfactory for me.

Re: grouptemplate

2005-04-08 Thread Roelof Otten
Hallo Cees,

On Fri, 8 Apr 2005 17:16:23 +0200GMT (8-4-2005, 17:16 +0200, where I
live), you wrote:

So have I. One of those enables me to use the same template for all of
the TB lists, while maintaining it just at one place.

C> Why is it that whenever I write a (new) individual message to a
C> member of that list, this template is also used??

Because that's the way it's intended.

C> In case of one on one message I want to use the general template,
C> NOT the group-template.

There are two ways to do what you want, the first is to create a QT
and start that manually when you're addressing the whole group.
The second way is using the same QT but use an %If: macro in your
group template that tests for the number of addressees.

However this is no subject for tbbeta, because it's just the normal
way TB is behaving. So any follow-ups would be more in place at tbudl
or tbtech.

No - this icon to verify a signature is also displayed over here.

I mean the icon to import a public key - that's something else - and
*this* icon is missing (not only) here.

scheduled update of a backup worked

2005-04-08 Thread Henk de Bruijn
Hi,

Also with this version I tried to make a regular backup and a
scheduled update of a backup and both worked!
In the former version I had a problem with having to add a password
while updating an existing backup, but this version is working like a charm!
I made a backup yesterday backup1.tbk and the upgrade made a file
backup2.tbk
See how it continues..

OT: Getting hitched, ball-and-chained, de-bachelorized etc.

2005-04-08 Thread Leif Gregory
Hello all,

Well friends, the time has come.. Rachel and I will be married this
Saturday, the 9th, at 6:30pm. We're both really excited, and there will
be many pictures I'll post up after we get back from our week long
honeymoon to our house in Mexico.

I have been ordered (see? She started already ) that I am not to
take any device with me which could be used for communication purposes
to the outside world. At this point I'm wondering if she's going to
hook me up with a tank full of something other than air when we go
SCUBA diving and leave me on the bottom as fish food. She swears she
didn't just marry me for my pitiful State employee salary , but
you never know.

So... I'll be out of touch until 18th. Take care all.

everyone tells you to (on the day) if you want a bit of time out to
