latest available version number in BT is 3.51.10, he was unable to set
higher number, because it is not available yet. This is BT error, I
think.

This is what I'm doing now, actually switching between receive date and
create date, because some sender has corrupted clock or wrong timezone,
scrambling the list order again.

I thought that using receive date could lead to a quite perfectly ordered
list. (I know that during its travel between the sender's server and my
server mail can get struck in some queue and so I can actually receive
some mail out of order, but this is the best we can get)

I also seem to recall that in older versions of TB I had no issues with
"receive time" sorting, but maybe it was an old 2.x version.

Now I'm running my own mail server, so my pop3 server is on a 100 Mbit
connection, and I get mail very fast, maybe 50 messages/second.

Maybe another solution could be not to sort anything at all, this should
show messages the way they are loaded into message base, but this could
not be an option, depending on the way messages are actually inserted into
the database.

Anyway, I'd like some feedback from Ritlabs: is this a bug? What's the
resolution of the "received" timestamp? Can this problem be solved easily
or not?

Thank you so very much for the clarification. I will be most pleased
to be able to check out and, I hope, confirm the fix when the next
beta is released.

It seems, in a way, like a small bug, but it has the potential for
causing serious misunderstandings.

Message time question

2005-07-28 Thread Terry
Hello TBers,

In moving a message from one account to another account, the received
time changes on occasion.

POP to POP - no time change
IMAP to POP - no time change

POP to IMAP - date retained but set an hour ahead
June 25, 2005 14:52 to June 25, 2005 15:52

IMAP to IMAP - date set to current date and time one hour ahead
June 25, 2005 14:52 becomes today, current time + 1 hour

I can sort of understand why the time might change if it was an IMAP
account - that's when it was "received" in the new account. But that's
not really the received time. It seems to me that it shouldn't change.
Or at least I'd like it to not change. Is this unexpected behaviour?
Or expected? If it is expected, is there some way I can change it? I
have no explanation for the + 1 hour thing.

Terry

Yes, you may be right and this may be the reason. While I was away I
could notice in my laptop (quite old)that the "process" lasted 3-4

I could live with this bug because I could easily revert to 3.02.10,
process the web queries and return to whatever was the version I was
