Re: 3.61.14 Watch Failure
Hello Bill, With the latest build I can neither add watches or remove existing watches. My watch folder is not being recognized - the only choice from Specials is to create a new watch folder :-( Yes, there is something wrong with watch folders and I think is is not new to 3.61.14, but I have not had the time to investigate and report on BT. I have found a 'dirty' workaround for the moment: 1.- Add a new watch folder 2.- Exit and restart TB. 3.- You should now be ale to see your existing watch folders including the just created one. 4.- Delete your last created watch folder and you should still be able to see your previously existing ones. 5.- I have done several restarts and I can still see the existing watch folders. I still have to try a reboot and see what happens then. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello Gleason, I get internal error 2349 when installing. When restarting TB, the version number is still 3.61.14. What does internal error 2349 mean while installing? This is a Windows Installer (MSI) error. It means Copy Resumed With Different Info. It most commonly occurs because the CD is dirty or scratched. Re[2]: The Bat! 3.62 is now available
Hello Melanie and 9Val, Subject: Re: Preview f=?ISO-8859-1?B?/A==?=r die Reiseseite As I see, the problem is when after decoding you have some character left... I mean, MIME coding stores 3 bytes using 4 byte (more details: http://www.helpdesk.umd.edu/topics/email/protocols/315/ ), in this case, /A== stores only one. So, /A== decodes to ( /=63, A=0, = are pads, signals the end of encoding) 63, 0, that is in binary form: 11 00 that is if we group them as 8bit bytes: 1100 that is in decimal: 252, 0 Character 252 is: ü I dont know, how the encoding is done in TB!, but if I would do it I would assign 0 to =, decode that 3 bytes to 4 bytes, and stop outputing chars to the output string if I find a char 0 amongst them... That extra character at the end must come from some predefinition of the output string length, so put a check after the encoding that runs through the string and cut the end if the char is 0... -- Vili Current beta is 3.61.14 (Echo) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hello Thomas, You would do everybody a favour if you also included a synapsis of the bug or at least the title of the bug report. Thanks. See below. V https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5213 Can't move to a folder by typing its name When the folder tree is in focus you can move to a folder by typing its name or the first few letters of it. Well, this does not work in 3.61.14, nothing happens when you start typing. I have just verified it did work in 3.61.13. Same thing happens when trying to move a message by Ctrl+V on the message list. When the 'Move Message(s) to' dialog opens, there is no response to keyboard strokes. This also worked fine in 3.61.13. Re: Folder settings not saved
Hi Peter, Monday, October 24, 2005 you let us know -at least in parts- : here it is still not possible to change any folder settings and make them stick. They are lost the next time I access the folder. It worked well up to beta 36104, presenting a confirmation popup to save the changes or not. Not any more since 36105 and not in my copy of the 3.62 release. Is it just Dmitry, Martin, and me? I played a bit with the settings, changed the sorting order like you described in your bugtrack entry and found out that the confirmation dialogue (if I want to save the new settings) showed up only once when exiting TB afterwards and then no more. If I first go to another folder (in the same account or another one), I am always asked. Re[2]: The Bat! 3.62 is now available
Hi, My opinion. The beta testers are complaining about serious bugs here for days and weeks now and Ritlabs is going to release a final version again. TB Why do you think I gave up beta testing? I've been asking for ages TB what's the point of beta testers when for years we've just been TB totally ignored. Same here. Not one of the bugs I reported even in v3.0.1.33 has been fixed until this day. The new bugs that have only just developed since then are over the top. Another ABBA-title comes to mind: Why did it have to be me? TB Upsetting really, you think your helping to produce a blinding TB email client but all RL are doing is laughing at us. Would anybody like a quote of the current number of people I had to advise not to register TheBat just yet because of its desolate condition? Only today I got another mail there is a v3.60 and it's looking good, shouldn't I...? Re: PGP-encrypted message containing just url appears empty when decrypted from within TB!
Hello MFPA! On Monday, October 24, 2005, 3:42 PM, you wrote: Also, my tests may not be relevant enough for me to report them in a note to 5222. What do you think? The common factor is that an inline PGP encrypted message containing just a URL does not decrypt as it should. I have done some further testing and added a note to https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5222 One of the tests, reproducible in 5 tries for me, was: 1) Create a message to myself with nothing but a URL in the body text 2) From the Privacy menu choose Encrypt when vompleted 3) From the Privacy/OpenPGP submenu choose Fncrypt entire text. Result: When I received my message, I clicked on the Decrypt button. The encrypted message remained visible and a Decrypt Tab appeared to the left of the body text. When I clicked on that, I received a Windows notification box that said: No application is associated with the specified file for this operation. Since this behavior occurred using beta 3.62, I am CCing this report to TBBETA. My supporting note to your BT note at https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5222 describes the above behavior. I cannot reproduce the blank body text, upon decryption, in beta v. 3.62, when I simply check the box Encrypt when completed, using in-line OpenPGP. But it is abnormal to get a Decrypt tab that won't function when I add Encrypt entire text to the mix. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat! 3.62 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 3.62 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
