Re: 5.1.6 MSI files
Hello mse, m Hello Maxim, MM Hello Tbbeta, MM http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/intpack_5-1-6.msi MM http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/thebat_home_5-1-6.msi MM http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/thebat_pro_5-1-6.msi MM http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/thebat_rus_5-1-6.msi m the installation worked here, however there seems something wrong with m language selection. After install it launched with an English GUI although m German (my OS language) was selected in the Language Menu. Changing to m French changed the language, switching to German again translated the m column headers right away, but most menu entries remained French. Some m where translated though. m I installed the Pro version with all options enabled (Core files, GUI m language and dictionaries). m Is anyone else seeing similar things? A user on the German board batboard.net found (and I can confirm that) that the issue is related to the thebat.lng-file. Changing back to the lng that came with 5.1.2 resolves the problem. For some reason, they are all asking me for the path to TheBat's 4.0.16.2 MSI. That is especially strange, since I ran 4.2,44 since it came out and haven't had the 4.0.x version on my system for a very long time. I don't recall any of the 4.x MSIs ever asking about this, so I consider it a 5.x series bug. Well, FWIW, I could not get the cascading menu feature to work *AT ALL* in 5.1.2, but by de-selecting all of the options for it in each of my address list groups, my ENTIRE list of favorites would appear in both the Create a New Message /and/ the RMB in an address field drop-lists. After installing 5.1.6, the cascaded menus are working again in the Create a New message drop list and once again, *ALL* addresses have been removed from the RMB menu in the address fields. With this feature's functionality changing with every release (for me, at least), it seemed like RIT was actively working on it. However, I'm now starting to believe that there may just be an uninitialized variable or two involved and every compile is leaving them with different random values that cause different aspects of this feature to work (or not) in different ways with each release.
