Still present in 9.4.

Do you want to create a bug report or should I?

I see you don't have staff in your office who would click on any attachment,
especially when it ways "invoice" or "payment". I am in the logistics industry,
and we received targeted emails with malware payment; called "vessel delay
notice" or "shipping documents" which are subject and attachment names we
received legitimately regularly.

I have also encountered websites of government ministries were I had to look up
something and avast! sounded an alarm because the website had some malware it
wanted to download onto my computer. I don't click on suspicious links, but
legit URLs can be infected too.

So, please don't tell me that AV software has no use. Thanks.

When I tried to replicated by replying to this message which I am replying to,
everything worked as expected.

However, I just encountered the cursor jumping when inline-replying again. I
will send it to Stef for analysis.

I have opened a bug report, as I think this should be fixed before the release:

Almost all so called "Anti Virus" is snake oil [1][2].
Only use "Brain 1.0"!

Exactly! Thanks, sometimes I'm blind. I had searched the menu navigator for
"preview" and that did not show this.

Seriously? I'm a paying customer and quite happy with it, espeically the mail
and web shields. At the time I chose avast! (many years ago), it was
recommended over Windows Defender. Things change, and I will do some research
on this.

I suggest you get rid of Avast, it turned into spyware. The built-in Windows
Defender is more than sufficient for home users.

Preview pane missing

2021-07-03 Thread Thomas Fernandez
Dear TBEETA,

Writing from my laptop as my PC's TB! became inoperable. I installed 9.4 from
the MSI, and all was normal, I even posted a message here. I left TB! open as
usual while working on something else, and then when I went back to TB!, the
preview pane was gone.

Workspace / Window split / Full-height account tree remained unchanged. I
played around changed to other window split settings, but in no setting is the
preview pane visible in any more.

Went back to 9.3.4 by using the msi file for that, and still no preview pane in
any window split setting. That's what confused me the most. If it is a bug in
9.4, all should have gone back to normal after going back but it didn't.

Any idea what the reason could be? I probably inadvertedly hit some crtl-key
combo...

Remark: avast! updated in the background and I thought that may have to do with
it. However, I disabled avast!, restarted the computer, and still no preview
pane. (I have enabled avast! again, don't worry.)

(I have also not connected to any network printer spooler, so we can rule that
out.)

Thanks for any hints,

Thomas.
