Beta 3.0.0.8 - filtering disappeared
G'day TBBETA, As it says, the filtering just stopped working. Everything ended up in the inbox. The filters were all still there, but weren't working at all. Same with 're-filter' - no go, showed 0,0. Rolled it back to Beta 3.0.0.7, and it was fine. Re-filter also worked as it should. Rolled forward to B8, no good, back to B7, no problems. -- cheers, Mic (return address works) Entropy isn't what it used to be. Fitler scheme: should this work?
G'day tbbeta, As I never use IMAP or Bayes filters, I want to mark posts regarding them read. (Well, posts with those subjects in the subject line.) The Filter structure - in Common filters - is: Incoming messages Other The Bat Mark read - Bayes, IMAP, etc TBBETA - Juice TBUDL - Juice TBBETA TBUDL Problem is, I can't get it to mark the messages read. I've got Subject=IMAP (did have OR bayes, but I took it out to simplify.) Mark the message as read Continue processing The rest of the sub-filters work fine, exactly as they did before I added this new sub-filter. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Ta. TB! Filters in V3
G'day tbbeta, After installing v3, my filters are a bit of a mess. Some work, some don't - a real pain. (None of them are very complex, so it's weird.) And most of them should be common filters rather than tied to either account, so they need to be moved. And thanks to this list, I've discovered the sub-filters. As my filters are buggered, what's the easiest way to kill them all and start from scratch? Is there a file I can delete? Filter weirdness (Solved this bit at least)
G'day all, Having what I think are weird problems with the NFS using sub-filters. Not saying it's The Bat, it could be me. [delete a couple of hours work] OK, I've figured it out. I setup the sub-filters as below. The Filter structure - in Common filters - is: Incoming messages Other The Bat TBBETA - Juice TBUDL - Juice TBBETA TBUDL Design aim: Move MY posts to the TBBETA folder, mark read, park Move MY posts to the TBUDL folder, mark read, park Move TBBETA posts to the TBBETA folder Move TBUDL posts to the TBBETA folder What I did was: Create TBBETA - Juice filter Copy TBBETA - Juice filter, change parameters to be TBUDL - Juice filter Create TBBETA filter Copy TBBETA filter, change parameters to be TBUDL filter It wouldn't work. The TBBETA filters did, but not the TBUDL filters. How I got it to work? Deleted the TBUDL filters, and created then from scratch. No problems. sigh Hopefully this will help someone else. -- cheers, Mic (return address works) When you do the wrong thing, knowing it is wrong, you do so because you haven't developed the habit of effectively controlling or neutralizing strong inner urges that tempt you, or because you have established the wrong habits and don't know how to eliminate them effectively.
