Hi TBBeta, I am far from being an MS basher but do I remember correctly that there might be a kind of super key with the US authorities?! Doesn't matter I'm not working for Microsoft, so there is no super key for the US authorities. CDs for archiving aren't a problem :-) You have to encrypt the data before archiving, haven't you? Yes, but that can be done while copying the data... All things considered you've done it, you did really convince me: I'm against a Save decrypted option. Hi Dierk, :-) I meant the HD of the person recieving the encrypted mail. No need to encrypt everything twice. You use an encrypted NTFS partition? Or a similar scheme, even PGPDisk or similar? Yes for the first question. I'm on the bright side here, I work in a company producing such stuff :-) Not only do I have to rely on the fact that my correspondents *do* use encrypted HDs (what about CDs for archiving?), Why? If you send your message encrypted, you can't make sure that it stays encrypted, can you? If there is an option in TB! that you can save decrypted messages, some will use it some not. Hi Dierk, 3.0.2.8 is a beta and it hasn't been out too long. I'd rather see some changes in-between versions ... well, but there is a change in the way the betas are done. Re: The Bat! 3.0.2.8 is now available
Hi 9Val, [*] IMAP: multiple connections to server (Fine Tune option) Well, I have multiple connections now, but that seems to be somewhat randomly. First of all: Tasks are added to the list even if the same task already exist. I have 4 entries in the list to get the message list of the Inbox and all show connection one. Every now and then I can see that a connection 4 is used to get some more information about my IMAP account, but the list of entries for connection one never shortens. I tried to abort all tasks. That closed the CC but after hitting the Get New Mail button all task are back again. Same happens if I try to synchronise all folders. Now I tried what happens to the threads if I close TB! Most them are back again, well that was what I expected as there are 14 folders to sync. But why are there two entries saying they use connnection one and are doing something? (Now there are four in Status executing, but with no state.) I will have a look what happens if I use 10 concurrent connections now... First I wrote that it doesn't make any difference, I was wrong. I have to write it again, as TB! crashed while I was typing. Hi Michael, I love this program and this is a very stable version. I think it needs to be released. I have had no problems. Well, I have. IMAP is still kind of broken. Hi Cristina and Mary, Nor did Sygate. I think it's that some critical number was unchanged with this latest .msi. Maybe the one that says v. 28 when it's v.29? Hi Eddie, Sorry I just now downloaded the new TB!pro but it still tells me 8. I'm wondering why some get the proper files and some not. had the same problem yesterday downloading with Firefox. Hi Dierk, IIRC, other programs just leave such files and directories; they only remove what the MSI install log shows to be installed originally. Hi Paul, You can find out by simply starting msiexec from a command line. Version 2.00.2600.2 - I have no idea how up-to-date that version is though. I think I know now, where the problem is. Re: HTML bug
Hello all, nice discussion here. But if I open the tab with the uued-... I get a table (which was to expect) showing only thin lines where text should be rendered. Maybe this is due to an error in the html file or not, I wonder why nobody mentioned this before. -- So long folks, Raymund TB 1.54/39 -- _ Archives : http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Wish List : http://wish.thebat.dutaint.com BugTraq: https://bt.ritlabs.com/
Re: beta/26
Hello Peter, So switch them off ... What's the problem? I hadn't expected that. So I thought it was connected to the msg-id protocol. TB! stores these setting in different places for 'Preview mode' and 'Folder view mode' so you can easily change the settings for folder view mode (as this is what opens up when you click on a message ID link) without affecting the settings for your preview mode. Don't know if I like that :-) So long folks, Raymund -- _ Archives : http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Wish List : http://wish.thebat.dutaint.com

Re: 10e? (was: Bug: Date macros go awry)
Hello Dierk! Maxim wrote about it on list in an answer to a bug report. There hasn't been an announcement with a changelog. And that's why I don't understand the hype about this beta. (I use it too :-) I believe it too be an intermediate version only for testing purpose of that special error. Maybe maxim should have wrote the mail to the testing person directly. raymund -- _ Archives : http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Beta: 1.54 beta/10 Wish List : http://wish.thebat.dutaint.com
Problem with MailTicker
Hello, my mailticker sometimes forget were it belongs. I normally drag him to the button of the window and let him snap there. (Still would like to see that it acts like a taskbar and shrinks the workspace for the other windows...) Anyway after changing the solution without getting new messages and switch back to the original solution, The MailTicker suddenly pops up at the bottom of the old solution which means right in the middle of my screen. Re: right click on the scrollbar
Hello Marck, Furthermore, the scroll-bar context menu is available throughout Win2k and is not peculiar to TB so we can stop discussing it here now, OK? :-) No, cause in the other programs the scrollbar works correctly. Only TB! don't know how to handle it... Re: 1.46 Beta/1 is now available
What are other urgent issues please? :-) This annoying feature that you can't close the connect to server window. (Still there with TB 1.46/1 and Win 2000) Maybe it is possible to change the behaviour of the editor window if there is a in the text TB think it is an quote. (Most likely for my part it is is a not.)
