Bugtracker status changes

2010-12-30 Thread mse
Hello Ritlabs,

I'm sorry to bring an old topic back to the surface but
there has been a bugtracker update a while ago addressing among other issues
the problem, that reporters cannot close issues they filed themselves.

Question: With Version 1.2.1 should reporters be able to close their own
issues?

Some of mine are in resolved-state and I cannot close them.

Best regards,

I just checked with Opera and IE (both with clean caches, just to make sure

Reports created by me with status resolved can be reopened by me, but I
didn't check what happens when I actually do that. I could try with that

Ah, that's the clue...
Summary: I can now perform status changes from verify wait to resolved or
(this is new:) from verify wait to closed for issues created by me.
I can perform status changes from verify wait to resolved for
issues not created by me.
All other privileges referring to status changes have vanished.

So now I can close bugs, but starting from verify wait I must skip the
resolved status. That's
something I can keep in mind.

Thanks a lot for your efforts!
Now it's Mantis' turn to fix this.

AFAIK it is a 2 step system, i.e. at first you have to change the
status from Verify wait to Resolved and afterwards you can close
the bug.

Verify fail never was. Is that correct behavior?

It seems to me that you only can set this status if you are the
initial reporter of the corresponding bug. In this case you have to
click the [Reopen] button. = Reopen means Verify fail, okay!? ;-)

Cheers and of course a Happy New Year!

I'm afraid that would have to be implemented by spell checkers (SSCE,

I don't think it will work quite that way. There was an original 3 digit system
which was replaced with a 4 digit system. If you know the original it will
still work but if you just chop off the leading zero you will get a different
character ☺

No, under Windows it is always assumed that missing leading digits are
zero. I know this very well, because i often use @ which is ALT-64 and
not all keyboards have that sign...

Access to Mantis Bugtracker

2009-02-06 Thread Jens Franik
Hello The Bat! Beta Tester,

did you ever think about getting into Mantis without your (default)
Browser?

Here is the Solution for Win/Mac/Linux

There is a Simple small XUL Runner which can start Webapps like the
where stand-alone.

I did compile a Webbapp named Ritlabs-Bugtracker.webapp which you can
easily use to access Mantis Bugtracker.

You need to have mozilla-prism installed first

,- [ ]
| Prism (formerly, Webrunner) is a prototype application that lets
| users split web applications out of their browser and run them
| directly on their desktop.
`-

http://labs.mozilla.com/projects/prism/

Then start the Webapp from
http://www.de2all.de/thebat/Ritlabs-Bugtracker.webapp

Have Fun
