Have compressed the msg.base after your import?

Re: Filter question

2002-02-22 Thread Luís Avelino Relógio

Hi,

When filtering using Kludges, I'm kind of puzzled ...

For example, I get mail from a mailing list where the sender may be
 one of
 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 etc
There is no guarantee as to what node it will come from or whether
they'll introduce a new node. So, I'd rather not introduce a lot of
 alternative filters.

As if that's not enough I get another list from the same hosts ...
 [EMAIL PROTECTED]

With that data you may try to 'accept @a.xyz.com and not
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. Or 'accept listb@?.xyz.com' where ? should be any
character. For the last one a regexp like 'list\@.\.xyz\.com' would
solve the problem.

Beta Question

I know this isn't the Beta list, but there are several (many) Beta

There are a lot of small, niggling things; nothing serious by now
(although you may have a problem with general protection faults on
shutting down, or with slowness of the new HTML viewer, neither cause
any lasting harm).

Certainly, I've used it for business since about beta 20 without any
difficulties.

I haven't had any recent GPFs or equivalent from TB! betas in some

is slowness a problem. I think almost anyone would be comfortable with

It's a feature. This way, you will not have unread messages in your
trash that you deleted *deliberately*.

With TB!, you don't have to worry about it. The mark as read is only
for your eyes. TB! will not go to the web to download external images,
etc., so there's no way the spammers can track you. As long as you
don't send receipt confirmations, and you don't click on their remove
me from your list links, spammers will never know if you read their
junk or not.

That isn't so. When I filter spam straight to the trash folder, I have

Actually, I'm thankfull for that. It was one of the things that was
driving me crazy in OE because it kept saying that I had unread mail
simply because I moved it to the trash. I prefer TB!'s behaviour. If
something goes to trash, I don't want to be reminded of it being

The only solution to this is probably to create a separate folder and
set your filter to dump the messages there. I use this method myself
by having a folder called 'SpamTrap', this way I can still see which
messages were sent to me and which are probably spam so I can still
retrieve the ones that were inadvertently put their by my overzealous
filter.

Not for me, it doesn't. Wonder why. I just did a purge and

of course, after that, being only on the application title bar

Purchasing Norton Anti Virus 2001

2002-02-22 Thread John Doe

Hello,

Hope this works. I just recently got TB. I have poured over the
online archives, and it seems to me that Norton Anti Virus 2001
is *the* virus scanner to use. The problem that I am having, is
that I cant find a place to purchase it. I went to Amazon.com,
but they are sold out, and it seems that Symantec only sells
2002, which I dont want after reading the posts about it. I have
found a few sites that let you download Demo versions, but I dont
think they can be activated by Symantec anymore. Can someone be
so nice as to point me to where they purchased their copy??
Downloadable would be prefferable, as I like instant
gratification, but at this point ill take anything :)

 Thank you!!
