Search function freezes
I am running TB 5.4 on Win 8/64 It has been running without problem until recently the search function (F7) freezes on searching a particular account. In that account I have noticed that some emails cannot not be read and there is a popup which says Cannot read the base header. I was wondering if this is causing the problem and if so is there a way to rebuild the messages. Currently there are over 1200 messages in it. Help would be appreciated. Re: Encryption
Hi MFPA, thanks for the info. As an alternative to OpenPGP, another email encryption method The Bat! can handle is called S/MIME. S/MIME I've found the Comodo site to get a free s/mime certificate. But I don't understand configuring it in TB in the S/Mime TLS preferences window. In the address book I can at each user import a certificate, but which one? The public one I get from them or my private one? Sigh... in short.. I simply don't understand this and the Help info from TB looks to me cryptic too. Isn't there a kind of helping wizard, telling me step by step what to do without the need of understanding what I did? :-) Kind regards, Guus -- Regards, Gunivortus Using The Bat Vs. 5.4.8 under Windows 7 64 bit POP3 only. Hello TBUD Listers, I just recently discovered that I could add the line %SetEditor=1 to my NEW and REPLY templates to guarantee that Plain Text would always be used in those instances. I just noticed that when I reply to a list message, the subject line is empty when it should contain the thread subject. If I take the SetEditor line out of the template, the subject line is once again filled with the thread subject but I'm back to an HTML editor. Is there something else I should add to the templates to guarantee the thread subject carrying over? -- TIA, Jack LaRosa :usflag: Central Alabama Using The Bat! ver: 5.2.
