Re[2]: Create filter

2004-03-28 Thread Jean Site
Hello dAniel,

I apologize,
I have answered sooner with two attachments explaining my difficulties
The message was rejected.

Thanks for help,

I didn't solved my problem

I use french version of The Bat!

I tried that (as you have suggested)

> Take a look at the sorting office, where all your filters are listed
> and can be managed. This is ctrl-shift-s or Account--Sorting-Office.
> New filters will be put to the very bottom of the list and I guess you
> have some filter above that already catches the mail from Bernard.
> In the accountlog (ctrl-shift-L) you can see what filter moved a
> message.

> What do you mean? the "Move to folder" field now defaults to the email
> address, or the filter name?

'Move to folder' stands for 'Déplacer vers le dossier'

> Just tested it here, to set a filter like you did (ctrl-shift-F),
> leave the defaults and set the same filter again. A new folder will be
> created with the From-name on the first call, but the "Create Mail
> Filter" fields default to the same strings on the second call.

I don't understand this explanation.

Now, I'm trying to explain what could have shown the attachments

There are, according to the languages, two boxes

The english box is 'Create mail filter'
The french is 'Création d'une règle de tri'

'Use to' becomes 'Appliquer au(x)
'Move to folder' becomes 'Déplacer vers le dossier'

What I did:

At the beginning, I see
Déplacer vers le dossier : [EMAIL PROTECTED]

First step
Appliquer au(x) : Courrier entrant (Incoming mail)
Déplacer vers le dossier : Bernard (Move to folder)
It is the good filter. Messages from [EMAIL PROTECTED] go to Bernard's folder

Second step
I close the box

Third step
I open again 'Create mail filter'
What a pity in 'Déplacer vers le dossier' there isn't Bernard but [EMAIL PROTECTED]
It's not what I want

Put Bernard in place of [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't work!

The filter isn't created

Create filter

2004-03-25 Thread Jean Site
Hi ,

Create filter

I wish to send messages from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
to folder's name [Bernard], that is to say create a filter.

With the previous version of The Bat I succeeded.

Now, I select one message.

The help says: go to: Messages/Specials//create filter.
In the box Create mail filter, I write 'Bernard' in Move to folder

I close the box.

The filter don't work with new messages.
I open again the box Create mail filter:
In move filter i don't find Bernard but the recipient's name [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I don't understand.
What's wrong?
What do I do?

Re[2]: a folder is missing

Thanks for the help,

> accounts and folders that are created on the system. Check the 'Mail'

I have gone via explorer: Program files/The Bat!/Mail/Jean Site
The missing folder is replace by an empty one: $KNOWN$

This folder ib emty, I suppose that I can't recover lost messages!

>What were the circumstances surrounding the disappearance?

I don't known when the folder disappeared.

The day I discovered the disappearance and the day before I have pressed
Keyboard'keys :Alt, Arrow up, Ctrl and others.

Why?

To go from QWERTY to AZERTY Keyboard;
For quick research in message's list : [Ctrl+Maj+Enter] whithout success.

I suppose I have pressed some keys which are deleted the folder.

Which keys?

The Problem now is: Is-it possible to avoid deleting a folder?

Which is the language used here?

Hi Julian,

In my PC I have now:

Mail server : POP.Wanadoo.fr

You suggest to write something after POP.Wanadoo.fr?
How do you do?

For example, POP.Wanadoo.fr, Exchange Server ?

Import doesn't work

2004-01-04 Thread Jean Site
Hi everybody,

Import doesn't work

I export Address Book from PC A(comma-separeted plain text):
20040104 JSP4 Carnet d'adresses.

I want to import this file to another PC (PC B)

The Bat says import is over.
But, Addresses are not in PC B's address book.

What is wrong?

Point 2 Import file's formats are

LDF file
Business Card(vCard)
Address List (plain text)
Comma-separated(plain text)
Tab-delimited(plain text)
INI file

I don't understand well the differences between them

Which format is more usual?

Thanks Groetjes, Roelof,

I try again

A) - TB is not running
It doesn't start TB
It doesn't make TB check all accounts
Nothing happens.

B) - TB is running

"C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe" /checkall
does not work.

Dos prompt (Windows 2000 Pro)
C:\Documents and Settings\Jean Site> "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe" /checkall

C:\Documents and Settings\Jean Site>
Nothing happens.

He/she could just be using a computer in which TB! isn't installed. Or
could just be interested in learning more about TB! with the intention
to try it out someday. In any event, I'm happy to welcome anyone who
