However, the problem still exists. I know have it in different accounts even. It doesn't happen a lot, but today for example, I had three corrupted mails. It doesn't look very professional if I have to ask my clients if they can please resend the mail as my mailprogram seems to corrupt them when they enter... If i hit 'reply' on a corrupted mail, it takes the text out of the *last seen* mail as original text. Maybe this info helps? Thanks anyway, it's good to write this down. corrupted emails
Hi, it's happened three times now in the last few days: someone sends me a mail, when i select it to preview it in the window beneath it, it's just grey, as if there is no message. If I hit the rply button, the text of another message is placed as the original text/mail. In all cases I knew these persons wanted something from me so I mailed them and asked them to resend me the mail and I got a perfectly normal mail from them, so it seems something corrupted those mails. My mail 'databases' are rather big, and I run a 10 accounts, but this shouldn't really be happening I guess. Anyone some ideas what I should do? Is there a 'repair database' tool or something similar? -- Lex Thoonen Pêng Smart Web Design - http://www.peng.nl Gran Canaria Info - http://www.gran-canaria-info.com Hollandse Nieuwe - http://www.hollandsenieuwe.com tel. +34 928 88.61.77 Current version is 3.99.24 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
spam doesn't work on one account
Hi, I've got a few mail accounts set up, and I'm using the bayes filter plugin. It works fine, and it's learning too. But one mailaccount, obviously the busiest (murphy), it seems to completely ignore. I've checked the mail account's settings but didn't detect anything obvious. It's been going on for a while, and updating to later versions of the Bat didn't help. Anyone an idea? easy archive
Hi, in outlook, i used to do this: say, on the first of january 2003, i would store all messages up to 31 dec 2001 in a .pst file. The 'fresh' and current .pst file would only contain messages from 2002 and up. If i needed an older message, i'd just open the 2001 .pst file and look the message up. Is there a way i can do this or something very similar in the bat! ? I indeed would like to automate the process as it's too many handlings I now have to do, (I don't know if that's english but I guess you know what I mean) but in my The Bat! version (1.62r) I can only refer to the external file wilt the strings in 'selective downloads' in the sorting office... spam rule for more accounts
I was trying to find out how to create a spam rule that would work for all accounts when I found an answer of Douglas Hinds in the archives saying this: I link all accounts to the same text file, which I continue to lengthen whenever new Spam mongers are found. This is much easier that adding strings to each and every separate account. Now, this sounds exactly as what I want, but how do I do this? I only know my 'rules'thing and I have no clue as how to do what is described above. Does somebody know what he means? importing addresses
Hi, I've been trying to import addresses from outlook 2000, and I've read I should kick out the 'birthday' field, as because of it, I get an error when opening The Bat. Anyway, so I did it all again, made a comma seperated list in outlook and tried to import it into the bat. I don't get e-mailaddresses, although I've matched the fields. Tried a tab seperated file as well, same result. What's the best/easiest way of importing addresses from outlook?
