Upgrade troubles
Hello all, I have an installation of The Bat! on my desktop at home and my laptop. Every Upgrade I did on the desktop was a success. Every upgrade I did on my laptop was a failure. I have been using The Bat! since November 2002. When I update on my laptop (1.xx and now 2.00.6) I always lose folder settings and templates. Also every account and folder gets an duplicate account and folder. And when I delete a duplicate account or folder the original disappears also. Off course I made a backup before I started the upgrade. But restoring the backup still leaves me without folder settings and templates. It's getting a real pain to go to every folder and account. Any ideas? -- Best regards, Ricardo van Eck The Netherlands Using The Bat! v2.00.6 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.00.6 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

So I do agree with some that Ritlabs asked to much € for 2.x. Some feature requests
Hello all, Novell made there GroupWise API's available for other software developers. A GroupWise plugin for The Bat! would be great! When I can connect The Bat! to a GroupWise Server I don't need two clients anymore (GroupWise client and The Bat!) And since GroupWise is the second most used Enterprise Collaboration solution it should be wanted by more batters (I think) Also a Linux version of The Bat! (ok, this isn't a small request) :) I want to drop Windows, but The Bat! is keeping me from doing that. I read that The Bat! under Wine isn't that great. Maybe some other Batters have tried this? Last request. I'd like to see a Calender, like there was in some previous beta's. That calender should have CAP support. (Calender Access Protocol). It a new protocol that most calender, e-mail client developers are going to use. (except MS because of marketing reasons). It lets you send appointment and other calender stuff between different e-mail clients. Very neat :) Until now, only GroupWise 6 and 6.5 supports it, but more are coming! -- Best regards, Ricardo van Eck The Netherlands Using The Bat! v1.62r on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.00 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

iPac Sync
Hello all, I think I already know the answer but then again, it's free to ask... I just heard that everyone at our company is getting an Compaq iPaq 1915. Main reason of course, so we all can sync our e-mail and agenda/appointments with our laptops and so on. But I'm one of few who's not using LookOut. Does anyone know if its possible to sync with The Bat!? Plugings, third party software, what ever... Account settings gone
Hello all, I tried to create a new account in The Bat! v1.63 beta/4. The next day I noticed that the account settings where gone. So after trying again, the same problem occurred. I deleted the account, renamed thebat.exe (the beta) and placed the original back, 1.62 x-mass. Again, same the problem occurred when creating this account. So now I've found the problem.
