How to add a language to an address book entry
I am looking for a way to add a default language to an address book entry. This should help in selecting the right spell checker for the language used to communicate with a contact. I know that I can add a message/reply template, but I am also using folder templates, and I do not want a personal template to override a folder template. I meant this: %Language='%ABToCountry=BR'%- This will use the country code and when there isn't one in the AB entry, it will use BR for British English. You can set a different default if you prefer so. Works perfect. Expert advise needed
I need some expert advise on the following issues: 1. I have created virtual folders to display all unread messages from an account and another to display all flagged messages from an account. When creating I have selected all folders in the account. However: when I add a new folder to the account, then this folder is not included in these virtual folders. Is there a way to automatically include these folders (or to link a Virtual Folder to an account including all of it folders). A side not to this: the 'Select Folders' dialog is not very helpful. I have to individually select each folder. You cannot select an entire account or a folder and its sub-folders, like you can in the Message Finder. 2. For a lot of my contacts I have created separate folders that contain their message history. To do so I have created several filters in the Sorting Office: for 'Read' messages, for 'Replied' messages and for 'Outgoing' messages. These filters usually consist only one line: 'Sender contains [EMAIL PROTECTED]' for Incoming and 'Recipient contains [EMAIL PROTECTED]' for outgoing messages. Whenever someone gets a new email address I need to update the contact information at 4 spots: in the address book, and in three filters. Isn't there an easier way to accomplish this ? -- Robert van der Hulst [EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! 4.0.28.1 on Windows Vista.6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Current version is 4.0.24.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: Some folders are slow to respond
Hi Code, On Tue, 08 Jul 2008, at 11:06:13 [GMT -0700] (which was 20:06 where I live) you wrote about: 'Some folders are slow to respond' I am experiencing a curious problem. Over the last couple weeks, some of my e-mail folders have gotten very sluggish. Clicking on old or new mail in these folders takes a few seconds to respond (the response used to be instant) and deleting mail takes a few more seconds (it also used to be instant). Compressing the folders doesn't help and my hard disk has almost no fragmentation. According to Maintenance Centre, no folders are damaged. The problem folders are small -- fewer than 1,000 messages and the messages.tbb files are less than than 10MB. Interestingly, folders with more than 7,000 messages and messages.tbb files of nearly 2GB are still lightning fast. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any solutions? Have you tried to the messages to a new folder and see how the speed of that new folder then is? It may be corruption in the folder file. And do you have messages with large attachments in the folder ? -- Robert van der Hulst [EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! 4.0.24.27 on Windows Vista.6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Current version is 4.0.24.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

As a consequence I would lose 2 days of email. What are the options to export those and only those. I could do a normal backup but I am afraid that would duplicate every other email that is already in my other version. Can I use TB directly to put these in? How? I apologize if this has been answered in some FAQ list. Install a second language keyboard with the US International layout. This will make the ', , `, ^ and ~ keys so called 'dead keys'. That means that they will not be entered in the text directly, but will try to combine themselves with the next character that follows. So pressing followed by e will produce ë, ' followed by e with produce é. And if you want the accent characters on their own, type the key followed by a space. You can configure your system so you can switch between different keyboard layouts using a hot key. The default hotkey to switch is Alt-Left Shift. -- Robert van der Hulst [EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! Re: Mail Merge
Greg, Does the TB! provide mail merge capabilities? I did a find in help on mail merge without luck. The mail merge capability would create individual outgoing messages. The only difference would be who the message is going and change variables within the body of message.
