Re: Reprogram the accountpanes tab Unread
Hello qe3ee, What I would like to do is to highlight mails replied by ME in one of those tabs. If I understand you correctly you want to highlight the messages you have replied to, not your replies. Correct? If my assumption is correct, do the following: 1.- Set up a Colour Group with a name and attributes of your choice (you don't really need to assign a colour or font, you may use defaults). Let's say you call it 'Replied'. 2.- Set up a a new filter in 'Replied messages' category and call it as you wish. - General - Condition = Any message - Actions: Set message colour = Replied - Folders: Either 'Any folder' or the folders of your choice. 3.- Create a new Virtual Folder named 'Replied'. - On the Filter tab: - Select 'Advance filter settings' and then: - Colour is 'Replied'. Reply to any message and take a look at your just created VF :) -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello qe3ee, Friday, July 8, 2005, 6:11:40 PM, you wrote: I have laborated with various values from the kludges. Example: From: yourname [EMAIL PROTECTED] only filters the threads that i have replied my self - i.e. it only filters threads someoneelse started. I'm not sure what exactly you want. If you want mails you have replied to in that folder try to filter on message (attributes) is replied. How do I mark mails that I want to watch to be replied. You can flag them or assign them a colour group and filter on that together with fast search not replied. That way they disappear from the virtual folder as soon as you reply to them. If I right click the sent mail and choses Watch replies in... nothing happens. Create a chat folder first. Then you can mark mails to be watched in that folder. All replies to that mail should appear there. I've found this not to be completely reliable but try for yourself. How may I use the filtering capacity under the Account - Sorting/Options filters - Replied Messages? These filters become active when you have replied to a message. You could have them moved to a different folder when you have replied to them for example. -- Best regards, Andre The Bat! v2.12.00 on Windows 98 4.10. Are SC you after all messages in a thread that you have replied to? Just the SC replies, just the messages that you replied to. Yes exactly! - Just the threads that I participate in. ALL OTHER threads is of no interest for me. I just want to see the threads that I'm involved in! :D I have thought of filtering mail-threads that I don't participate in but that just went wrong. I have insuficient options as I see it in the alternatives in the regulare Office/Account filters. The filters in the virtual folder are however more usefull. MAU's proposal: My original and first tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com filter located in Incoming Mails looks like this: BeginFilter Name: tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com Active: 1 Source: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Target: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bat! User Discussion List CopyFolder: none MainSet: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Actions: faoContinueProcessing AddGroups: DelGroups: ForwardTemplate: ConfirmTemplate: ReplyTemplate: FwdAddr: RedirectAddr: NewAddr: NewTemplate: ExtCmd: ExtFile: ExtractDir: ColourGroup: default AddAddrItems: afiFrom, DelAddrItems: afiFrom, HotKey: 0 IsOfColour: default SizeBigger: 0 SizeSmaller: 0 AgeOlder: 0 AgeNewer: 0 InAddrPos: 0 OutAddrPos: 0 InAddrGroups: NoAddrGroups: KillFile: KillMethod: 0 SaveTemplate: SndFile: SysSound: 0 SoundTime: 0:00-0:00 AllowTime: 0:00-0:00 EndFilter The next filter in concern (proposed by MAU) is located in Replied Mails and looks like this: BeginFilter Name: tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com Active: 1 Source: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bat! User Discussion List Target: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bat! User Discussion List CopyFolder: none MainSet: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Actions: faoContinueProcessing,faSetColor AddGroups: DelGroups: ForwardTemplate: ConfirmTemplate: ReplyTemplate: FwdAddr: RedirectAddr: NewAddr: NewTemplate: ExtCmd: ExtFile: ExtractDir: ColourGroup: Replied AddAddrItems: afiFrom, DelAddrItems: afiFrom, HotKey: 0 IsOfColour: default SizeBigger: 0 SizeSmaller: 0 AgeOlder: 0 AgeNewer: 0 InAddrPos: 0 OutAddrPos: 0 InAddrGroups: NoAddrGroups: KillFile: KillMethod: 0 SaveTemplate: SndFile: SysSound: 0 SoundTime: 0:00-0:00 AllowTime: 0:00-0:00 EndFilter Very nice idea MAU! :star: This second filter is the filter that marks the mails as replied by colour group and thus viewable i *Replied* VF. When I expand the VF advanced filter to one more condition: OR Message (attributes) is replied I will see the mails between two of MY mails marked with the proper colour group aswell. I didn't give up! I follwed up with another filter similare to MAU's idea and located it directly after the first filter in Incoming Mails: BeginFilter Name: tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com qe3ee Active: 1 Source: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Target: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bat! User Discussion List CopyFolder: none MainSet: 10qe3ee tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com AltSet:1: 10qe3ee on TBUDL tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com AltSet:2: 00qe3ee [EMAIL PROTECTED] Actions: faoContinueProcessing, faoRegExp,faSetColor AddGroups: DelGroups: ForwardTemplate: ConfirmTemplate: ReplyTemplate: FwdAddr: RedirectAddr: NewAddr: NewTemplate: ExtCmd: ExtFile: ExtractDir: ColourGroup: Replied AddAddrItems: afiFrom, DelAddrItems: afiFrom, HotKey: 0 IsOfColour: default SizeBigger: 0 SizeSmaller: 0 AgeOlder: 0 AgeNewer: 0 InAddrPos: 0 OutAddrPos: 0 InAddrGroups: NoAddrGroups: KillFile: KillMethod: 0 SaveTemplate: SndFile: SysSound: 0 SoundTime: 0:00-0:00 AllowTime: 0:00-0:00 EndFilter Conclusion: Only Mails that have a name in advance of the mailaddress is filterable like this! I recieved a mail from Mark Partous, in an earlier thread. As he doesn't use thename-bla-bla-name at all in the headers To: name-bla-bla-name tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com field, mails like those aren't filterable like this. ALL of you have been charmingly helpful. Thank you! -I will try to make this global for my the bat! or at least one VF for every account.
