Yes, I e-mailed Ritlabs to ask how I should proceed, and they told me to
upgrade to v5 (with a 30% discount), then e-mail them with the serial number
and they'll give me a registration key valid for v4.x.

Thanks for sharing info with us.

If I understood correctly you're to be given a new key for v4 after
e-mailing them a v5 key.

What about future use of purchased v5 key when v5 release works stable?

Will you be able to use a key you purchase now and they downgrade or
you'll have to purchase new licence/upgrade?

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I'm not really bothered about the html editor - I normally use plain
text anyway.

I have a v1.60h business edition licence, so I'm not sure how I should
upgrade. It isn't clear from the website, but I assume I'll have to buy a
licence from scratch. I'll try e-mailing them, anyway.

Thanks again,

You get a 30% discount on a v5 licence if you already have an earlier
licence.

But the matter here is not to move to v5 version that is not ready as
a marketing product yet but to v4.

Do they allow usage of v4 if a client have v5 licence?

Hi Mary,

Are there any major problems with v4.2.44 that I should be aware of?

Moved back from version 5 to 4.2.44 due to all reported by me issues.
So far none of them happened in v.4 (almost 4 weeks) ; except that
for some e-mails while replying there is no text at all after
Reply Window pop ups. Change a Text format to any text and back
to what you had makes message appears.

Imported over 29k messages and works fine.

Will test new release when I have more time - maybe next week.. :(

Alternatively, I see v4.0.38 and some earlier ones are still availble for
 download.

 Any recommendations?

I am running v4.2.42 and I have no problems with it except that it is
about time we had a more capable html editor. Everything else works
fine, and I make extensive use of filters, templates and customised
quick templates.

I don't make any use of the scheduler though, so can offer no opinion
on that.

MC Alternatively, I see v4.0.38 and some earlier ones are still availble for
MC download.

v4.2.44 is good for POP users (I don't use IMAP). Filters and Virtual
Folders (you'll love them) work flawlessly, no Access Violations at
all.

The only problem, as Robin mentioned, is a sub-standard HTML editor,
but since you come from v1.x, you won't miss that.
