Not sure what to do with this
Greetings Batties, I have received several of these HTML messages with the following line as the entire message: Invalid HTML ! Please forward this message to developers. Thanks. I assumed it was an Apple problem simply because Apple was the sender. It wasn't until I searched for this string on-line that I learned it's apparently being generated by TB!. If I understand what's happening, Apple is sending me HTML messages which TB! is having trouble displaying in HTML. The actual text of the message (from Apple) can be displayed by clicking on the TEXT tab at the bottom of that message. So, if my assumptions are correct, to whom should I forward these? Message base damaged - what can I do?
Hi, I have a problem with my sent message base. It must have been corrupt, so I ran maintenance over it. The bat reported the message base damaged and put about 3.000 mails in a part0001.bin file. Can you configure what TB! sends as HELO/EHLO string?
Hi I've recently noticed the following header in some test mail I sent to myself using TB! v4.0.38 sending through my ISP's SMTP server:- X-Lookup-Warning: EHLO lookup on [10.0.0.1] does not match xx.xxx.xxx.xxx I enabled protocol logging and looked at the SMTP logs and, yes, TB! is sending EHLO [10.0.0.1] I am behind a router and 10.0.0.1 is the IP address assigned to my PC by the router. The xx.xxx.xxx.xxx of the X-Lookup-Warning header matches the public IP address. smtp auth: what am I missing?
Hello, all. With TB! 3.99.3, I seem to be unable to use smtp authentication. I'm getting a ``must first authenticate message'' from the server. I must be missing something... In the account properties, I have the smtp server using TLS. The port is set to 465. In the authentication button, I have Perform SMTP Authentication checked, with the specific settings selected. I've tried tests with and without the ``Require secure authentication'' selected but the results seem the same. Re[2]: filter incoming mails according to what time they were created
Hello Tom, Monday, March 26, 2007, 1:55:38 PM, among other things, I wrote: R I will set up some similar filters here and see what happens and report R back. I initially set up three filters in the following order: 1. Time of creation 00.00 to 07.59 2. Time of creation 08.00 to 15.59 3. Time of creation 16.00 to 23.59 and then used them to filter 850 messages that I copied from my 'Trash' folder, with the result that three messages with creation times like 00.00 and 8.00 did not get filtered anywhere! I did not do any further analysis of this test. I then changed the filter times as follows: 1. Time of creation 00.00 to 08.00 2. Time of creation 08.00 to 16.00 3. Time of creation 16.00 to 00.00 and repeated the filtering of the 850 messages with the following results: a) The filters work on creation times converted to my local time zone. b) One message was mis-sorted. It had a creation time of 08.00 but was repeatedly sorted by the No.3 filter. I cannot see anything unusual about the header of this message, but it is always ignored by filters 1 and 2 and found by no.3! c) A message with a creation time of 00.00 was sorted by No.3 filter whereas a message with a creation time of 00.01 was sorted by filter No.1. Thus it seems that these filters do not really overlap. Conclusion: I can confirm that some messages can get mis-sorted, but for reasons still unknown! I hope this will at least reassure you that the problem is not just local to you. :-| -- Best regards, Roger :flag-southafrica: The Bat! v3.98.6 :beta: with AntispamSniper 1.8.0.8 , on Windows XP, version 5 1, build 2600 and Service Pack 2 Current version is 3.98.04 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html Current version is 3.98.04 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

filter incoming mails according to what time they were created
Hello Everyone, for statistical purposes I would like to filter incoming mails of a specific account by the time they were created. My intention is to have one filter for all emails I receive that were created between 08.00AM and 05.00 pm. Similar filters for 5.00pm to midnight and midnight to 08.00AM. I looked a the source code of incoming email and tried to find the information required. I am not sure which line has the right information and get confused by the fact that there may be an adjustment to my time zone or GMT. In most emails it appears that the line Date underneath subject shows the right time and if the adjustment (+11.00) is identical to my own, than the time is correct. In other cases it appears as -7.00 and looking at other data, the correct time would be deducting 7 hours from the time shown. Could someone please explain this to me and provide some guidance as to how I best write a filter? I suppose some regEx can do this but that's beyond me. Dear Marten, @15-Nov-2005, 21:22 Marten Gallagher [MG] in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] said to Chris: MG BTW your message came through with a part.txt attachment - it was MG the TB current version data. Chris's message was (as is mine) signed with a PGP/MIME signature. The difference between a normal plain text clear signed message and a PGP/MIME signed is that this MIME signing adds an attachment to the message. This attachment contains the signature data. Now - this is where clever-server-mode kicks in. When there is a MIME attachment, any footer to be added by the list server has to go as an attachment following any other attachments already present. Thus - you see a part.txt containing the list footer. What Triggers 'Read' Filter
Hi I know this may be a really dumb question! But what actually triggers the 'Read' filter? Is it the action of actually reading the mail OR is it the fact that a mail has been read? I ask because I would like a filter that moves mails that have been read and are of a certain age to a specified folder. I want to archive certain messages when they reach a specific age and I have read them. I tried the 'Alternative deletion method for purging folders' but it doesn't seem to work the way I want as my archive folder ends up with messages I don't want to keep.
