If you mean about a list of tiddlers then I suggest
http://tiddlywiki.abego-software.de/#ForEachTiddlerPlugin which will
allow you to create customized lists of tiddlers.
If you meant about reordering the tiddlers currently shown then
http://tiddlytools.com/#MoveablePanelPluginInfo might be useful.

There is a TW core paramifier, 'recent', that will automatically show
tiddlers in descending date order:

...filename.html#recent:N

where N is the number of tiddlers to show..

InlineJavsascriptPlugin always wikifies the return value (if it is
text). You can use the TW-standard syntax: """ (tripled double-

return '"""'+'your organisation ' +  q1 +out + q2 + '"""'

2. I can save the wiki oonly on my C drive and not on a file share

You might like to try:

out.push('*[['+t.title+']] '+t.modified.formatString('.0MM.0DD -

You're right it isn't the modification I intended, it still jumps to
the top with popups, now I can't find it.

I remember deleting the line you did caused some side effect. That's
why I tried to merge the OpenTopPlugin code into it. I seem to
remember that it had side effects as well (or I didn't do it
properly).

That suggests that not opening at the top when the tabs are disabled
was the side effect. I must have removed that and put the original
code back that you just cut out again:-) I can see the tracks of my
work because the comments on the code you cut out is different between
my different TWs. At that point I must have been distracted by some
shiny object and forgot about it until now:-)

It's worth doing a permanent fix if you can.

[tw] plugin to edit/manage custom fields

2009-11-09 Thread Michael Mahemoff

Hello,

Is there a plugin to support editing of tiddlywiki fields, and perhaps
creation/delete of fields?

I'm aware there are various macros to allow fields to be edited (e.g.
"edit"), but I'm looking for a more general plugin that would change
the default templates to support generic editing. The application I'm
working on involves user-created Javascript and CSS, where it would be
messy to ask users to create slices or sections inside comments, so
fields are the most reasonable design strategy I can think of.

Well, I just removed

ensureVisible=function (e) {return 0} //disable bottom scrolling (not
useful now)

...from TiddlersBatPlugin.

And now, there is no more jumping to top.
Instead, there is 'ensuring of visibility'.
Dunno if removing that line broke anything.
So far it doesn't seem to have.

[tw] Re: Killing TiddlyTagMindMap

2009-11-09 Thread Måns

Hi Jon

I have tried to make it as simple as I could: http://tinyurl.com/yjp2kc5
In my original testcase I try to make it work as the background for
moveablepanels like Mitchke Leemans does here: http://doordouwe.nl/

My hope is that VGraphPlugin could replace TiddlyTagMindMapPlugin and
that it would make it possible to upgrade the core to the newest
version...

[tw] Re: EasyEditPlugin

2009-11-09 Thread Måns

Hi again - glad too hear that you found the solution -
However:
http://www.tiddlytools.com/#QuickEditPlugin
has all these option plus a button called "custom".
It lets you create all kinds of custom templates.
For instance predefined images like this:
[img(10em,auto)[$1]] where $1 is the highlighted text..
or an iframe like this:
 $1 is a highligted
Url...
there are many many many advantages if you use a plugin for wikitext
instead of a wysiwyg editor..
One of the worst disadvantages with wysiwygeditors is that you don't
have "normal" linkbehaviour in the text and that macros written like
this <> can't be written directly in the wysiwygeditor.
It's also *very* confusing when you accidentially hit edit - or
doubleclick a tiddler and get the html-code...
If you need ideas for custom buttons in Quickedit - I can help - but
easyEdit is not a tool I use..
Fck-editor is more like a normal texteditor ie OpenOffice or Word -
and I have used it when I really had to convince someone that TW can
behave as they expect - but again - TW is much better when used with
wikisyntax - so I clearly prefer to take the few and simple steps in
the right direction with QuickeditPlugin..

Hi Seremela

2 easy steps: http://tinyurl.com/yz97sz3
4 easy steps: http://tinyurl.com/ygjn3mx

However I will recommend you to investigate

It has a much cleaner interface (with more options expected from a

AND
it uses wikisyntax - *no* ugly html-syntax when you hit edit!!

[tw] EasyEditPlugin

2009-11-09 Thread Seremela

I found the answer by coincidence. I went to ToolbarCommands and added
+ easyEdit in the ViewToolbarline:

I have another question, it's also about this plugin. I would like to
add a button to add a link to internet, and one to add images.
It should be possible with the option create link and the other one
maybe with the paste option (https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Midas )
I saw an example for making a Linkbutton to a tiddler, but I have no
idea how to make the code for the buttons I would like to add.
Can someone help me?

Thanks!

Maybe, if you renamed TiddlerEncryptionPlugin to
'ZTiddlerEncryptionPlugin', so that it loads after
UploadTiddlerPlugin, that way, when TiddlerEncryptionPlugin overrides
the 'save', it overrides the 'UploadTiddlerPlugin' save, not the other
way around.

Perhaps it's just trying to save to the original document (e.g.

After opening a fresh TiddlyWiki, I approved the applet, created a few

[tw] Re: Can UploadTiddlerPlugin and EncryptionPlugin work together?

2009-11-09 Thread Alexander Tsvetkov

When I use it locally I create a tiddler I want to encrypt, tag it
Encrypt(something) and when I click save it asks me for the password
of (something) and encrypts it. So when I reopen that TW and click
decrypt it will ask me for that password.
When I use it online thou when I create a tiddler and tag it Encrypt
(something) it still asks for a password but never encrypts anything
on upload. I think it has to do something with EncryptionPlugin
working only on save and UploadPlugin saving the TW in some other way.

[tw] Re: Tiddly next/previous tiddler functionality plugin?

2009-11-09 Thread Alex Hough
Here's an idea for an approach;

Save the presentation as a story but have the your first tiddler at the
bottom of the story.
Use tiddlersBar plugin, and style it so that the tabs don't show.
Have 'close tiddler' labeled as 'next' in view template
Then open the saved story: all tiddlers will open, but only the last one
will be displayed.
Each time a tiddler is closed the next one in the story will be shown:
tiddlersBar does this - i discovered it as an emerging property from the
randomness my in-expertise kindly generates.

Have a theme for presentation, and use theme switcher to alternate between
presentation making and presentation giving. Or do something similar to I
have done: - use a tiddler with jQuery to hide the tiddlersBars [1] and have
different menus, transculuding the scripts into the menus.

Have the mode where you are making the presentation non-tiddlers bar by
setting the behavior at the plugin.

It might work well with dragable and collapsible tiddler too: that way you
could drag your tiddlers around.

[tw] Write button for EasyEditPlugin

2009-11-09 Thread Seremela

Hi,

I started a couple of days ago with TW to make a wiki for a team to
share information. All members should be able to share and edit
information in the TW, without any knowledge of html or simple coding
like "bold".
I feel like the EasyEditPlugin is the solution for that problem. I
followed the Installation instructions, but I can't reach the end. I
don't have a write button. But it should be possible (--> for example
on this site http://meulivro.tiddlyspot.com)

1. I copied the code into a new tiddler (from
http://visualtw.ouvaton.org/VisualTW.html)
and tagged it with system Config.
2. I saved and reloaded the file.
3. There is no write button. What should I do?

I tried to insert "" into
ViewTemplate and/or EditTemplate. But it doesn't work.

Can anyone help me to get the write button?

Thanks a lot.

[tw] Lost USB drive

2009-11-09 Thread kouhoutek

I had a wiki I kept on a USB, but lost it.

I still have the wiki up in a browser, but saving give me a popup
error, "It is not possible to save changes..."

Is there any hope in recovering this wiki?

Thanks.

[tw] Re: Installing fckeditor

2009-11-09 Thread Alex

Thanks Måns! I have another question for you if you don't mind, you
seem pretty knowledgeable in the basics of the TiddlyWiki. Anyways, I
am trying to use EncryptedVaultPlugin (found here
http://visualtw.ouvaton.org/VisualTW.html)
and am not having any luck so far. It says in the directions to add
the systemconfig tag, then save and reload a couple times. I did that,
but I can figure out how to set a password for it. So if you could
help me, that would be great. Thanks!

[tw] Re: Tiddly next/previous tiddler functionality plugin?

2009-11-09 Thread leeand00

PMario,

It's close but it still opens the tiddler in another tiddler within
the story. I was thinking more of a slideshow sort of thing where it
doesn't open the next/previous tiddler in a separate tiddler. I could
probably just use the tabs for this.

Thanks,

Can you send me a minimal test case? I still have a few edge cases to

[tw] Javascript error when opening empty.html

2009-11-09 Thread horosho

Hi,

I am getting the following error in a read rectangle when trying to
open a freshly downloaded (and unblocked) empty.html:

This page requires JavaScript to function properly.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer you may need to click on
the yellow bar above and select 'Allow Blocked Content'. You must then
click 'Yes' on the following security warning.

I am using IE8, but I dont see "the yellow bar" whe the message comes
up.

Thanks.

[tw] Re: Links

2009-11-09 Thread Måns

Hi Chris

Install http://www.tiddlytools.com/#WikifyPlugin

and change your table to:

You can use it as a template in other tiddlers like this:
<> if you install
http://tiddlywiki.abego-software.de/#FormTiddlerPlugin
as well...
Whar you get is a "prettyLink" *Link* which is just to the left of
your input...
I'm not sure but maybe you'll have to install
http://www.tiddlytools.com/#EditFieldPlugin
as well to be able to save your edits to the field (link) in the
tiddler...

Please tell if you have any problems with this setup..

[tw] Re: three star ratings in RatingsMacro and rating Summary

2009-11-09 Thread dickon

I am following this thread with great interest but only understanding
small parts of it from a technical point of view.

Can I ask a question about the *application* of this function, once it
is up and running, though? Am I right in thinking that in a TiddlyWeb
you could use this to allow multiple users to provide feedback on the
usefulness of particular tiddlers - that could be gathered up in a
separate 'bag', and which might then help refine the content in the
document over time? I am thinking in particular of how it might be
used in the treatment manual that is slowly growing at
http://imp.peermore.com/imp/recipes/editorial/tiddlers.wiki

Cheers,

Dickon

[tw] Re: Is anyone using TW with Opera 10?

2009-11-09 Thread 1nd1g0

For me empty TW does NOT save too (official updated Opera 10 turbo),
so, there's NO support for this browser, I presume.

2009-11-09 Thread Alex Hough
The opera page looks really good. Not seen it before.
Micheal's stuff seems to make more sense to me now as well.

What happens, exactly*?

I'm not intimately familiar with the internals of either plugin, but
don't see why the TiddlerEncryptionPlugin would interfere (it's all just
data after all).

You should definitely know about JavaScript and the DOM before using
jQuery in anger. This is a useful collection of articles:

For TiddlyWiki-specifics, this might be a good start:

[tw] Best Javascript reference?

2009-11-09 Thread Alvaro Tejero Cantero

Hello everybody!

I am new to this group. I have been using Tiddlywiki for a couple of
years and I would like now to learn to customize it together with
Tiddlyweb in order to play with some concepts for knowledge
modularization. Although I am proficient in Python my Javascript is
just basic. My question is then, in order to grok Tiddlywiki's
internals,

What Javascript book do you recommend? A general book on Javascript or
a JQuery book?

Best regards,

-á.

[tw] Re: References of tiddler section linkage

2009-11-09 Thread Michael.Tarnowski

Morris, Måns
thanks for your replies. I'am aware of GridPlugin and Table-of-Content
Plugin. Both do not fit my needs. I have built a kind of glossary
system in my TW. The tiddlers content are software development related
issues (definitions, abstracts, etc.) Each tiddler has a the end the
call <> to show related tiddlers which
reference it. I want to show in this list the tiddlers which have
section linkages (<>) as well - not only
the plain [[abc]]-linkage.
For TOC I use DcTableOfContentsPlugin.
Have a nice day.

[tw] Re: Timeline/History with UserName?

Hi,

Thanks for that - it's great for getting the "who" part :)

Can you tell me how I'd add the date at the side of the output line
out.push('*[['+t.title+']]'); ?

Thanks again,
-G-
