RE: [TMIC] Fwd: Bowel Question
I ALSO HAVE BLADDER AND BOWEL ISSUES. THINGS MOVE DOWN ON THEIR OWN, BUT THEN AFTER THAT I HAVE NO CONTROL. I HAVE BEEN USING DIGITAL REMOVAL AND IT SEEMS TO WORK FINE. I ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE A MOVEMENT WHEN I SIT DOWN TO URNINATE. I WAS TAKING STOOL SOFTENERS FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND THEN GIVE MY BODY A REST. LATELY I HAVE BEEN TAKING 3 CAPSULES OF FLAXSEED OIL WITH OMEGA 3 AND ONE ACIDOPHILUS TABLETS. SINCE TAKING THE ACIDOFLUS EACH MORNING, I NO LONGER NEED THE STOOL SOFTTENERS AND HAVE A MOVEMENT EACH DAY, AND SOMETIMES MORE. I KNOW WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT AND THINGS DON'T WORK THE SAME FOR EACH OF US, BUT IT IS WORTH A TRY. Laura, Frank's message came to the list, too...not just to you when you hit reply, you should have option of your reply going to the person only, or hit reply all which sends it to everyone. Hope this helps. janh Stillwater, OK --- On Sun, 8/30/09, Laura Beaudin laura.beau...@gmail.com wrote: BTW..this replying automatically to sender instead of the list is very frustrating! [TMIC] Change of e-mail address
I'm changing the e-mail address I use on the list from _jharpe...@aol.com_ (mailto:jharpe...@aol.com) to _barbara...@gmail.com_ (mailto:barbara...@gmail.com) . I hope it doesn't cause any confusion -- I've used the same e-mail address for the 11 or so years I've been on the list. But there are a couple of reasons for doing so. First of all, for years people have been getting Jan H. and I confused, so this should help there. Secondly, the gmail one is one I use for Internet sites and that's the one I have on Facebook. With so many TMers now on Facebook, I keep getting invites to join when I'm already there. By having the same e-mail here and there it should cut down on confusion and make it easier for people to find me. I'll still have the aol address, so you can reach me at either one. Re: RE: [TMIC] Fwd: Bowel Question
LATELY I HAVE BEEN TAKING 3 CAPSULES OF FLAXSEED OIL WITH OMEGA 3 AND ONE ACIDOPHILUS TABLETS. SINCE TAKING THE ACIDOFLUS EACH MORNING, I NO LONGER NEED THE STOOL SOFTTENERS AND HAVE A MOVEMENT EACH DAY, That is a great regime, But doesn't have the push created by prunes, or a suppository. I'm going to add the flaxseed oil and acidophilus, (I get enough o0mega 3 from the fresh Maine fish), but will keep on using the prunes. I have a great recipe, from my grandmother, for prune souffle. It's guaranteed to get the whole family queuing up outside the Lou!! TTFN F
Re: [TMIC] Fwd: Bowel Question
If I may ask, what is digital removal? Janice Janice, Let's just say we have ten digits on each hand (Wink, Wink,Nod, Nod). So What you do is remove one of your digits ( from your non-dominant hand) and use it (like a stick) to break up your fecal mass so it falls out (and into the Lou). A bit messy, but it works (I'll stay with prunes). Good Luck pH
Re: RE: [TMIC] Fwd: Bowel Question
Frank, You're a blessing to this group!! Thanks for the wonderful way you explain all... we're so lucky that you're a doctor so you can use your medical background to help us with any question we might pose. For now, I'll just go for the prunes and not ask for your grandmothers's recipe. Thanks anyway!! LOL... Sorry...just couldn't help myself. (smacks self upside head). :-) On a serious note, I make a wonderful spinach souffle and would love to have your grandmothers prune souffle recipe if you feel up to typing it up for me, Thanks. [TMIC] In memoriam
As I was preparing the birthday list for this month, I saw that Sept. 9 was Pam Montz.s birthday. For those who are new, Pam was a long-time faithful TMIC member who just passed away a few months ago. I'm sure her husband, Dave, would appreciate a note of remembrance. I think he still has Pam's e-mail address open at montzma...@aol.com. Barbara H. http://barbarah.wordpress.com
