Hi Rob - yes I take Tizanidine for spasms - up to 28mg/day - it works
great but makes me sleepy even if I take 2mg. I take 2mg at noon and
12mg at bedtime and some during the night if I need it for 'jimmy legs'

If anyone wants a good site to see some life stories in regards to the stem
cell replacement and the after effects, a good site is MEDRA HUMAN FETAL

that show the before and after and it is truly amazing.

2008-04-23 Thread Heather Pieter
New MedicationHi Rob,

I take 4 mg of Zanaflex at betime. I took a lot more than the 4 mg. when I was
in the hospital and when I first came home. I had a problem at that time
though as it screwed up my liver enzymes. I had to stop taking it. A different
neuro started me back on it again about 6 months ago but at this lower dose. I
have had my liver enzymes checked and since I'm not taking as much this time
the enzymes are okay.

One of the side effects is fatigue. I was supposed to take 2 mg at 6 pm and
then the 4 mg at bedtime. I stopped taking it at 6 pm shortly after I started
the meds as I kept falling asleep about an hour after taking it. It takes a
while to get used to.

I'm glad to hear that it works well for you and is giving you some relief.

Baclofen because I was constantly tired.
I hate to hear that about the Lyrica, because you are one of the reasons I was
willing to give it a try. I only take 75mg every 12 hours so I still have
break-through pain, but I like that it starts working in 20 minutes.

Hi, Patti... I really was worried about the weight gain but that was when I
was on 150mg. Every 4 hours and now am on the same as you, 75mg every 12
hours. Not being able to move around like pre TM also attributes to the
weight gain for me.

Some don't seem to be bothered with weight gain at all! It does work tho
and for me, also in about 20 minutes. There are times when I do too much
that I need to take an additional one but not often. I sure wouldn't want
to give it up. I'm happy enough with it that I really don't want to change
it!
