A diff presupposes that I had changed something :-). This utility (if you can call it that) is simply a single HTML page that opens multiple pages from Pootle simultaneously when the user clicks a link. It is a quickfix to the problem that translators have to wait for the Pootle server to serve the next translatable item. In an offline tool, there would be no waiting, so ideally there should be no waiting in Pootle either. Of course, this can solved within Pootle itself by making it possible to submit more than item at a time (say, 10 at a time), but that is unlikely to be implemented soon. I wonder if it would be possible to program Pootle in such a way that instead of loading the next page when a translator clicks Submit, Pootle loads a blank page in the browser that closes the browser window after a second or two. I do this manually with different files, deliberately opening three or four different files on different tabs, then switching between them while waiting for pages to load. Hi everyone :) I'm finding it difficult to admin projects on Pootle when I have no idea who is doing what. If I download the files for some search-and- replace offline, when I go to upload them again, I don't know if anyone has modified the Pootle files meanwhile, and since the OOo Pootle is too overloaded to handle merge operations, I'm left with overwrite-and-pray, or download-and-diff (which takes time, so then I'm back in exactly the same situation). Also, on locamotion, for example, I can see some files have been partly translated, but in some cases I don't know who has done the work. The PO files do show Last-Translator and PO-Revision-Date, but that means manually downloading each file to find this information. I believe that admins really need a user list page, where, at the very least, last-login is shown, and more effectively, last files edited. Or a list page for each project which simply lists each filename, Last- Translator and PO-Revision-Date. The user drop-down list on the admin page isn't much use. In the case of my language, most of the registrants are inactive. I believe this is a hole in our registration procedure, and have requested that the language or project admin receive an auto-email when someone registers, so they can follow up that potential translator and make sure s/he gets through to the translation phase. It is evident, for my language at least, that the majority of people register, some of them confirm, and very, very few know you have to ask for access rights. So we lose most of our potential translators. In general, we need more information on Pootle about who is doing what, where and when. Quite right. This is why pMultiTab opens ten pages, and the user must close all ten pages before opening the next ten pages. It is easy to close pages using a keyboard shortcut such as Ctrl+W. Unfortunately I can't let pMultiTab close the pages itself because I have no way of knowing how slow the user's internet access is and how long the page must wait before closing itself.
