Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
I'm a bit concerned about the fact that all one can do to verify the download of Uruk is checking MD5/SHA256 sums. Apparently, no GPG-signature or public key is offered. Maybe Uruk developers can offer this in the future. Nevertheless, I think I'm gonna give it a try - at least start a live session to get an impression.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
I stand corrected. Thanks for the detailed response :)
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
I have both a SATA 3 HDD and a M.2 SSD in my laptop. Benchmarking them with 'hdparm -t' respectively gives 0.142 GB/s and 0.430 GB/s of transfer rates. Benchmarking my DDR4 RAM with memtest86+ gives 21.053. So the RAM is about 150 faster than my HDD but still about 50 times faster than my SSD: although my swap is on the SSD, the system still feels unbearably slow if it swaps.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
Magic Banana: >> No program is killed but the system becomes unbearably slow (because the disk is about 100 times slower than the RAM).
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
Pardon, but using swaps makes my machine feeling less heats for using less RAM than not using swaps. I’ve also tried to hiebrnate my system and backed to my EFI manager, systems under swaps are able to recover session unless reboot is run manually, system w/o swaps enter a selected system using a fresh session.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
Just clarifying and finalizing, systems run on hard drives dnt matter with how much swaps or without, but systems run on RAM will be happy to be under more swaps, right?
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
Anyway I have at least 3.72GiB of hardware memories, i.e. RAMs, and not every my systems are equipped with swap but just work well w/o a need of swaps.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
Can I upgrade from an Uruk 2.0 beta to the final release, or do I need to reinstall from scratch?
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
I'd like a copy of install-guix.sh. I hate following the Guix manual every time I install Trisquel.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
install-guix.sh (or whatever it was called) did not work.

Yes >How about replacing Mint App Menu (I forgot name for that menu) with Whisker Menu developed by Solus? Is there any legal or free software policy issue? This menu depends on newer packages than in Uruk or Trisquel repositorys, because Uruk 2.0 based on Trisquel 8.0, That's mean Ubuntu 16.04, and this menu running on ubuntu 17.10 or later.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
I tried the live image of Uruk 2.0. It is much better comparing to earlier release. Overall appearance looks much promising. Some observations/suggestions/comments - The Uruk Welcome App did n't start on live system login. Later I found it on menu. Is it configured to start after installation only? - It is nice to see that, Uruk includes VLC media player by default. Is it 100% libre application? If so, why Trisquel is not including it as a universal media player? - How about replacing Mint App Menu (I forgot name for that menu) with Whisker Menu developed by Solus? Is there any legal or free software policy issue? Anyway, I had a nice time while exploring Uruk. The team (or just a person? I'm not sure) has done a great work. Even when giants like Fedora fails to do proper QA, Uruk is doing better. While exploring live image, I have capture some screenshots and published it here. Please have a look. http://www.distroscreens.com/2017/12/uruk-gnulinux-20-lugalbanda-screenshots.html

Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
I tried this out on an old elitebook I had lying around. Works great. The default desktop environment is nice, but I installed i3 instead. Working great so far.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
Thanks fot the direction to the htc firmware packge; I'll download it and keep it handy. The machine with UEFY fcn't seem to install anyting Trisquel-- 7 won't even boot, and 8/Uruk graphical installer gets stuck. My old netbook runs everything Trisquelish perfectly.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
I used Startup Disk Creator. DD seems to work better, but I wanted to see if SDC worked as well, which it does. With Trisquel 7, Trisquel 8, and Uruk, my ThinkPad X60 has had trouble making it through the installation without freezing when I use the graphical installer. It may have something to do with overheating, as the fan is always on high when it happens. Trisquel has a text installer that works much better. However, it only took a few tries to make it through the Uruk installation. I didn't do anything differently the last time. My machine doesn't have UEFI, so I don't know if that would make a difference. Trisquel 8 doesn't have firmware-ath9k-htc packaged yet, so Uruk doesn't either. You can build it or install via the deb file from https://packages.debian.org/sid/firmware-ath9k-htc If you don't have access to ethernet, you could download the source or deb file on another computer and transfer it over.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
Glad to hear the quick review; here's my first impression: I started the live system, made using the DD command and a USB drive. Screen reader and music cme up as expected; this is what I wanted. Mate desktop, menus, and control center work nicely. My Think Penguin USB wifi adaptor is not recognized, and I cannot connect, yet, lsusb shows it to be present. I have not yet tried a wired connection. Your observation that installation took many attempts gives me pause re: installing onto a machine having UEFI. What did you do, in the final attempt, that resulted in a working system?
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
I've had a chance to try some of the features that are supposed to be different from Trisquel. (1) mate configuration and control center The default mate configuration is indeed better than Trisquel's. WIN launches a menu with items grouped into "system," "places," and "applications", plus a search bar that can launch applications. Uruk Control Center looks nice and is intuitive. (2) package manager simulator Runningsudo pacman -S icecatinstalled IceCat as expected, so that feature works, although I don't see a use for it. (3) installing from source Tested with this.u-src youtube-viewer-3.3.1.tar.gzgets stuck atchmod: cannot access 'configure': No such file or directory sudo: ./configure: command not found make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. make: *** No rule to make target 'install'. Stop. /usr/bin/u-src: 14: cd: can't cd to pwd rm: cannot remove 'youtube-viewer-3.3.1': No such file or directory (4) guix installer Did not work, as described in my previous comment. (5) being finished I'm not sure how Uruk 2 can be considered out of beta, or even out of alpha, when it has all of the same missing and broken packages as Trisquel 8 alpha.
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
Installation took multiple tries (as has Trisquel's graphical installer on my machine. A text installer like Trisquel has would be great.) but worked in the end. The screen reader was enabled by default as in Flidas, but was easily removed from startup applications. During # ~/Desktop/Guix-install.sh I got mv: invalid option -- 'r' Try 'mv --help' for more information. cp: cannot stat '/root/.guix-profile/lib/systemd/system/guix-daemon.service': No such file or directory Failed to start guix-daemon.service: Unit guix-daemon.service not found. after which $ guix package -i hello givesbash: guix: command not foundso that script did not successfully install GUIX. Apart from that everything looks great so far.

Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0
:'( It's a great distro even without the literary and historical references: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uruk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lugalbanda and the English Language support is superb.

What? No. Just because Ali lives in Iraq doesn't mean his OS is malicious or anything like that.

I would not worry about the fact that the authors of Uruk from Iraq. This being a fully-free system, I suppose you could audit the sources for insecurities or mallice.

if we Solved a lot of problems, if we coding for Thousand hours, if we build good free Distro, There's some much we can free. . . . . These were just wishes and dreams For small people in this great universe This was the start, But we stop dreaming and wishing. and start coding, To achieve our dreams , The ideas started flowing, Like the waters of the river. we made uruk project, and build Uruk GNU/Linux 1.0, It was unuxpectable big success . Been a long time for this event, We grew up, and the project grew up with us. At this time we worked a lot, and we made great changes. The big change came today, yes today, it's Uruk GNU/Linux code name 2.0 "lugalbanda" , We use "lugalbanda" as a code name for this release, lugalbanda is a character found in Sumerian mythology and literature in ancient Iraqi history . it's came with many changes like : 1- Build new repository for Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 2- linux-libre 4.9.66 lts 3- gcc 7 4- mate 1.12.1 5- Abrowser 57 6- New welcome screen 7- replace MDM with LightDM as a default DM 8- New control center 9- Guix Installer 10- New customization with new themes, cursor and wallpapers. 11- Came with many useful apps as default like: thunderbird, deluge, ffmulticonverter, vlc, libreoffice, rose crypt, uruk cleaner, AIA, diskman indicator, lightdm setting, gimp, upms, . . . and more. download it: https://urukproject.org/dist/index.html if you have any Bug or Issues: https://urukproject.org//bt/login_page.php if you have any suggestions or missing packages, you can send it via mailing list. have fun and be free ali miracle
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
OK, so I'm confused. I just downloaded a fresh copy of beta2 from SourceForge, checked the SHA256, and made a USB installer (see: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/problems-creating-usb-installed-using-trisquel-7). I installed it and got what appeared to be a Mate desktop. This was wierd, because last time I installed what I thought was beta2, it had a Pantheon desktop. Maybe what I actually installed was the alpha or beta1? Anyway, the new install runs quite well, although I recently upgraded from 1GB RAM to 2GB, so I would expect that. None of the poor performance I had last time. This seems to be sharing a lot of work with Trisquel 8 (Flidas), which is also going to have a Mate desktop, yes? What will be the difference between the final Uruk 2.0 and the final Trisquel 8?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
My laptop is also mid-low-ended, i3-2367 amd64 and 3.72GiB RAM, and I am a keen LXQt, Deepin, Liri user, to save more RAM you also need 16GiB swap partitions at least.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
Would it be good to you if you help Uruk to port an OpenRC edition for them?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
I rarely, very rarely use 1 full gb of RAM. I am not joking. One thing is also true: I don't go crazy about multitasking.. Xfce or LXDE is your answer..
Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
I put this feedback on the wrong thread, so I'm reporting it on the thread about Uruk-2.0-beta-2 for completeleness. Please feel free to ignore this. https://trisquel.info/en/forum/uruk-gnulinux-20-alpha I like the look and feel of Uruk 2.0-beta-2, and I look forward to the final release, but I can't keep using it on my Aspire One (click on my name to see the full specs). Even with the new SSD drive, the performance is just too patchy. If I have more than one browser tab open, I immediately start to have problems, including typing text and nothing happens, or a random selection of the letters I typed appear. Maybe 1GB RAM is just not enough for Uruk 2.0, but ideally a distro like this would run on any box that can run XP, which is what the Aspire One came with when I bought it.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
Is it System D distro if is system D no Thx!
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
"1GB RAM is not really comfortable" True, and I'm looking at buying a RAM upgrade, or just using this netbook as a CLI-only system. But it's worth pointing out that Trisquel 7 (with the default DE) still gave me significantly better performance than the Uruk beta I tried. Even running Debian live off a USB gave me better performance. I figure this is something the developers might want to know, so thanks for the contact info :)

Re: [Trisquel-users] uruk gnu/linux 2.0 beta-2
Swap partitions either in LVM or standard modes are killing the installation. You may want to remove requirements of existing swaps.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
Thanks for the clarification. Sorry, now that I double-check, the .ISO I restored to USB stick for testing was Uruk-2.0-beta-2. Doing a test install now. BTW Anyone know why I now seem to have a phantom XFS partition, showing up in GParted (under Uruk 2.2 live from a USB), about the size of my whole hard drive, while the normal / and /swap partitions in ext4 seem to use up the actual disk?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
As mentioned in a thread about waiting for Trisquel 8, I just put a new SSD disk in my old Aspire One, and I'm trying Uruk 2.0 alpha as a live disk. Based on what I've read here, and my experiences using Cinammon and Mate with Mint, I'm definitely going to try an install to the new drive. One question; what does the Guix-install.sh do? Do I need to run it, and if so, at what stage of the install? If there is any reference to this on the project website I can't see it.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions available to download on the project page.

I have downloaded uruk 2.0 (Beta 2)- 32 bit, hope that it will use less ram memory than Uruk 2.0_64 (beta 1). I am frustrated. Because they uses same usage of memory. I knew that 32 bit OS uses less ram space than 64 bit. -- In normal mode Uruk 2.0_64 (beta 1) uses > 575mb Uruk 2.0_i686 (beta 2) uses > > 545mb --- But in previous Uruk 1.0_64 uses > 450mb Uruk 1.0_i686 uses > 300mb --- I was happy with Uruk 1.0. But It is not up-to-date now. Uruk 2.0 up-to-date. But it is suitable for >4gb ram. (my ram= 2gb)

Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Yea, that's why I miss virtualizing so much. It really is best to wait for the stable release when you need to get your work done. My gamer kid enjoys bleeding edge sometimes, but I stick to my Trisquel 7 on at least one machine. You might be able to virtualize the 32 bit image. IIRC, you mentioned having access to a pretty fast and powerful machine. But I digress.

Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
He's going to love it. Thanks for the screenshot, MD. SHAHIDUL ISLAM. I'm going to sound like a hypocrite for listing my reasons for preferring 32 bit, since I miss virtualizing and am whining about needing DVDs and cheap used hard drives to check out 2.0. 32 bit machines are more readily available used and at prices that lower income people can afford. They are also more secure, since they do not have the backdoors that we know Intel has put on since 2008ish (Intel Management Engine) and AMD also has used for about the same time. A 32 bit system will run on a 64 bit capable machine, but a 64 bit system will not even boot a 32 bit machine into command line. The ecological consequences of disposing of perfectly usable 32 bit machines affects all of us. hth and /soapbox /ot and thank you, Hayder and Ali, for continued 32 bit support in Uruk.

Update all packages with the latest versions in repository 3- fixing linux-libre key problem 4- fixing freedom issue in mate menu 5. replacing mate control center with uruk control center (written from scratch) 6. intgrate orca with login session window 7. fixing installer icon issue 8. adding somw new packages with more things you will discover it. Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
FreeSlack 64 works fine for me.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
its try to Looking for the appropriate method to build the app if it find it Will be used that way. For example Some programs build useing chmod +x configure ./configure make yes you can use it in other distributions
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I saw that you have custom tools like u-src for automated building from source. How does the program work? Can people with other distributions use it as well?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
try guix sd its dont use systemd
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Right now I have a netbook asus 900ha which is 32 bits, I installed Devuan, and it has a bit outdated packages, but works great. I love Arch, but distros based on Arch without systemd aren't so stable, and it is only x86_64. Arch based distros without systemd need a lot of work. Maybe Void is great consideration, but I don't know what is their philosophy.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Yes. Uruk is downstream from Trisquel Flidas which is downstream from Ubuntu Xenial Xeres which is downstream from Debian Jessie so it uses systemd. If you are looking for systemd-free alternatives, you might consider devuan, freeslack (no 32 bit support, but 64 bit looks good), and/or hyperbola[1]. Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I like LXDE or XFCE4. Does Uruk come with systemd?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I can try to make a private torrent for you if it gets too frustrating, but I have absolutely no experience or any language other than English much beyond the "Where is the restroom?" level so that might be even worse. Lots of bandwidth and best wishes, though.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I am trying to download. But after 90% that crashing. Net speed slow in Bangladesh. Now I am trying again.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
That was what impressed me about the alpha. I don't know what I was expecting, but I wound up giving my DVD to the daughter who had never used Gnu/Linux instead of the daughter who was getting "nice fresh .isos just like mama used to burn!" in her care package. The final LTS release is seriously going to be my go-to recommendation for new people if you guys keep this up. ;) This is a very special project. It's been an honour to "know" Ali through the Trisquel project and then to see Uruk come to fruition. That you kids would choose to use the calms in the storm in this manner restores my own faith that human nature is not intrinsically evil and that there is hope that life could still turn out to be something beautiful.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
If I ever have to use Windows I'll know who I can confess my sins to.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Have to give congratulations: as an "end user" and novice GNU/linux user, I ran Uruk from bootdisk and was very impressed. Very clean, user friendly. It actually ran better faster than Trsiquel on this old HP laptop I'm using. Great job guys. - Zem
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I'm running the beta on my little netbook; it looks nearly finished. Not sure whether I can install onto my Thinkpad that has uefi; Trisquel won't boot on the thing. Interested in learning more about this guix package system the include in addition to the apt defaults.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I waiting for final release.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Congratulations, hayder and alimiracle! Ignucius the Saint blesses your computers, long may they run!
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Downloading the beta, now, and will have more to say avter I've had a look at it. Glad you've decided to return to Mate de; accessibility in Cinnamon is not ready.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I personally struggle with the same issue. Doesn't matter how much I run, eventually I end up going back to mate. It works flawlessly. Other DE's makes me more productive, but mate is just too good. Maybe one day it will be more customizable, so one can work without the two bars easily... Until so, the struggle may persist, at least for myself. I am happy with Uruk's release. Congrats. I wish you success. Never forsake your project.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
I'd have said flux or openbox instead of i3wm, but that's just because I'm old. :) Uruk is truly amazing and it's good to see you posting here. Mate is just fine. I enjoyed checking out the alpha on DVD and USB stick and look forward to seeing how far the beta has come as soon as I can. Well done!
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
The best DE is no DE, I suggest you move to i3wm :) loool nah just kidding guys, congratulations for your excellent work. Uruk is awesome.
[Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
In any war or big problems, there are calms between storms. There will be days when we lose faith. Days when our apps, DE, and codes turn against us. But the day will never come that we forsake this project and his community. hello, my name is Hayder Majid and i'm going to tell you story: when was begin to working on uruk 2.0 we decided to moving to another DE,so we choose cinnamon DE to make it as the default DE, but unexpected things is happened , because cinnamon is lacked for a lot of accessibility features, so we moved to gnome DE, but as usual, gnome has a lot of bugs and crashes windows (the main feature of gnome shell ) ,so we thing it's like the free software lords punished us for leaving mate DE, because it's never disappointed us in version 1.0, so we returned to our holy DE , with more customization and a lot of features to avoid similarity with trisquel 8.0 , and hoping that punishment will be removed. today we happy to release uruk 2.0 "lugalbanda" (beta-1) with many features -based on core trisquel 8.0 "flidas" -mate DE 1.12 -linux-libre-lts 4.9 -gcc-7 -possibility for installing GuixSD package manager -possibility for installing rpm packages and installing programs from source using one command -new customization ( login screen , themes, cursor, background, installer slideshow ...) -uruk welcome screen -uruk software center ( uruk GNU/Linux version of Lubuntu software center) -compatible with accessibility -fixing a lot of bugs with more things you will discover it. your time is come, you will face a lot bugs and you must tell us about it you can download it from here(32 and 64 bit): https://sourceforge.net/projects/urukos/files/2.0/Beta1/
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
But It is not 64 bit.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
Yea, but my point was that even if you didn't know anything about Ali and were just distro hopping, you'd still love Uruk because it is just plain a good 100% libre distro. I was going to print that article out for my daughter but after booting into the DVD to make sure it worked, I decided that it wasOh look, a pretty butterfly. ;) Ali really is that awesome. It's pretty much impossible NOT to underestimate that youngster. ;)
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
Everybody is so touchy these days (including my illustrious self), lol. By apolitical, I meant that Uruk would not be dismissed as a curiosity or be offensive to any brand new free software user, regardless of their nationality or political beliefs. As far as libre politics, it is downstream from Ubuntu 16.04 and uses the same init system. It is 100% Libre. I would trust the developers to keep it that way. It is way too new to be certified by the FSF already, but that would not bother me. I was trying to communicate my own trust in these developers to someone who did not know them. I also noticed that it seemed to load faster than the alpha release of Belenos that I burned the same day, right before the current beta release became available. It could have been a bad DVD or any number of things that has nothing to do with the actual .iso, but since I was giving several different live DVDs to a person who would probably be running live for quite awhile rather than installing right away, that was also a plus to me. The desktop was not vanilla Mate, but was customized for ease of use in such a way that it would be helpful to anyone with vision issues, but also anyone unfamiliar with standard Gnu/Linux desktop environments. My first impression was extremely positive. I look forward to having a second impression and being able to say more. I was using the 32 bit .iso on my most powerful 64 bit capable laptop and did not have time to test it on my older hardware. I look forward to doing so in the future.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
I looked at the website but I didn't find much info. I'm sort of getting the vibe that Uruk is a light weight (less resources) version of Trisquel, with a Mate desktop environment and a couple of tools that simplify adding applications, etc for the new user. Is that about right? Also, when you say "political" Heather, what do you mean? Libre politics, or political politics?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
It has Guix installed by default, for one thing, and all sorts of handy dandy tools for newbies who have never used Gnu/Linux before but are intelligent enough to learn with a bit of hand holding and learn more on their own once they get a peek at what all they fuss was about and why their mommies are so stubborn about joining the 21st century and refusing to buy a smartphone like everybody else's mommy has. My live DVD is already in a box on it's way to my child, so this is just what I remember and why the first thing I wanted to do was post my review from it before even trying it any of my other hardware. It just wasn't at all what I expected. It was perfect for my target audience of a well educated intelligent person who has taken a lot of crap IT classes and thinks she knows more than she actually does. I know one of the Uruk developers from way back and he speaks my kid's language better than I do. They're roughly the same age so that's hardly surprising, in spite of their cultural differences. I expected the target audience to be a native Arabic speaker who didn't have much bandwidth and was getting a bit annoyed with the entire concept of the English language. I couldn't have been more wrong. Uruk is still in Alpha, but I feel that Uruk's target user might be slightly different than Trisquel's target user, but language and politics have nothing to do with those differences at all. I've been wrong before, lol, but this fork benefits us all, imnsho. I don't have a spare hard drive atm; I'll come back when I do and be able to go into more depth then. I'd love to see my (preteen) minor child take this one for a test drive and see what happens, but I, being poor, have only my dreams as William Butler Yeats would say. Just a not exactly unbiased review. Short version is: I like it. Keep up the good work, Uruk peeps!
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Alpha)
What is the benefit of using this disto? How does it differ from Trisquel? Thanks!
