Its not a very good idea to copy and paste Mysql data that way, use mysqldump command instead mysqldump -u [username] -p [database name] > output.sql there are options to select which database to output. when you have the sql file just execute it in the mysql console to import it to your target. its also not a good idea to make /var/www 777 while it does not matter if you are working in single user PC but its better to follow the best practices. There is a group that have all the access the /var/www folder. Hasin Bro, I have DKU-5 and CA-42 but those are fake ones and I failed them to use with Windows as Modem. And I dont like cabling much. I had been using IrDA in windows for about 6months and liking it :) I also wanna use BlueTooth later when I'll have a fine PDA end of the month inshallah. Need help from all Ubuntu experts why we wont be able to use IrDA or BlueTooth as we can in Windows! Hi all, I am using Ubuntu 8.04 in my Office PC and also my colleague(Ferdous). I bought a laptop recently HP 520 in which all credit goes to Hasin Bro :) for helping me buy in installments. Also thanks to Shanku da(RS Computers) for allowing me the installment. We are distributing and attracting our students and peers to using Ubuntu and nothing else :D I installed sole Ubuntu on my HP 520 as its to me a gift from Hasin Bro! I dont wish to install Windows in it at all. I will require help from you guys to install my Nokia 6020 IrDA Modem driver successfully to be able to use net. I successfully installed the Windows version of .inf file for my USB IrDA device. Now the point of installing the modem of my Nokia 6020 which is to be accessed through the USB IrDA device. Pray for my laptop as it is dead from morning while I was trying to find out a fix for ubuntu( wake up from Hibernation/Suspend). Anyone who can help me installing the IrDA will be thanked millions. সবাইকে শুভেচ্ছা। অনেকবার লিনাক্স ইন্স্টল করেছি। কিন্তু পুরোপুরি লিনাক্স ব্যবহারকারী হয়ে উঠতে পারিনি। বিভিন্ন সমস্যায় পড়েছি। সেগুলো থেকে দ্রুত উদ্ধার না পাওয়ায় আবার উইন্ডোজে ফিরেছি। আবার একবার উবুন্টুতে ঢোকার চেষ্টা করছি। আপনাদের সকলের সহায়তা পেলে দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ব্যবহারকারী হয়ে উঠতে পারবো ইনশাআল্লাহ। এখন আমার পিসিতে উবুন্টু ৮.০৪ ইন্সটল করছি। আপনাদের সহায়তা কামনা করছি পরবর্তী ধাপগুলো পেরনোর জন্য। ইন্সটল হওয়ার পরপরই আমার যে প্রশ্নগুলো থাকবে বা প্রয়োজন হবে 1. আমি কিভাবে উইন্ডোজ ডিরেক্টরীর ফাইলগুলো ব্যবহার করতে পারবো? 2.
