locale specifies how to handle strings in your OS. Unicode is a
multibyte character unlike ASCII. And there are too many encoder for
unicode. OS needs to know how to decode bytes to string. Locale
provides this information to OS about the decoder. It has some other
functionality, but this is the principal one.

if the output does not have .UTF-8, then run

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

I'm facing a problem with kopete. Till last week there was no problem.I 
can see Bangla on kopete.But from yesterday the prob arouse.That is I 
can only see "" if the other person type bangla on

On topic, you need to uninstall the software that you don't want in
your system. If you don't want compiz, uninstall it. Then you will not
get the updates for it. Cups and Hal are system requirement. They must
be updated with your system. The updates are very small and you are
not forced to restart after updating. So, I really don't understand
why it is annoying. Everyone can download GBs of movies but complains
if one has to download few MBs for updates. That's really beyond me.
Also, the downloads are truly resumable. If internet dies, you can
resume the download from where it stopped.

It is not a good idea to wait for a long time to patch the system like
service packs does. You should patch whenever there's a problem.

এই থ্রেডে কিন্তু ক্ষেপিও নাই। তবে হ্যাঁ, অন্যখানে মাঝে মাঝে বিরক্তি দেখাই।
কিছু বিরক্তি ইচ্ছাকৃত (কারণ, অভিজ্ঞতা বলে কিছু জিনিস ধারে কাটে, কিছু কাটে
ভারে)। কিছু বিরক্তি অনিচ্ছাকৃত। অনিচ্ছাকৃত বিরক্তির জন্য দুঃখিত। আফটার অল,
যন্ত্র না তো!

অনেকখানি মিষ্টি আমের সাথে পাতলা একটু তেতো খোসাও থাকে কিনা। :(

I am personally a fan of Moyuk(Shahriar Tariq) bro. I think he is not 
becoming angry nowadays.It's the questions which made him angry.Cause 
there are some silly questions coming in this mailing list nowadays.Like 
few days back I saw a question regarding fedora in this mailing 
list.That sort of silly questions can easily made anyone angry.So don't 
become angry upon them.If you don't wanna see the anger,help yourself.Or 
try to be optimist and accept what is there for you.


and one more thing,you came to open source,well.But that does not mean

আমিও দেখেছি... সবাই ওপেনসোর্সে যেতে বলে আর কোন খবর নাই.. সাহায্যতো দুরের
কথা

হেল্প চাইতে গেলে এমন ভাব দেখায়... যা আসলেই কষ্টকর... এর মাঝে যার নাম বলব
তিনি হলেন.. সবুজ কুমার কুন্ডু.. ওনার যা ভাব... ইয়াহুতে কোন ব্যাপারে হেল্প
চাইলে ভাব যা লয়... যত্তোসব.


লেনিন ভাইয়ার ওপর আমি অনেক কৃতজ্ঞ,
এই লোকটাকে আমি মাঝে মাঝে অনেক বিরক্ত করি.. ফোন করে এত জালাইছি... যা বলার
মত নয়. আমাকে লেনিন ভাই. অনেক সময় দিছে শুধু টিপস দিয়ে. (ওনার অনেক
মূল্যবান সময় নষ্ট করে)... আমি আবারও কৃতজ্ঞতা জানাচ্ছি

মনের কষ্টগুলো অনেকদিন পর বলতে সাহস পেলাম ওপরের লেখাগুলো দেখে (লেনিন
ভাইয়ের)...
